My husband Jim and I moved to Cayuga Lake in 2002 - he from Pine City NY and me from Hawaii. We both are naturally drawn to water, so Cayuga Lake was our chosen place. My husband has 3 grown children and he retired in 2012. Now our children are of the four-legged sort (we have friendly tale-wagging dogs and we invite you to bring your dogs along). We live directly across the street from the cabin and we are always available if you need anything. We take great pride in providing a clean, comfortable vacation property, and it is important to us that you have a wonderful vacation experience. We want to ensure that you’ll make memories here that will stay with you for a lifetime.
Cheryl Santos purchased this cabin in 2015
We chose Cayuga Lake for its natural beauty, the variety of things to see and do in close proximity, yet also the tranquility of country living. We envisioned building a cabin here so we could share this unique area with others, providing a comfortable retreat for our guests. We designed and built the cabin as a contemporary modern space yet with rustic charm.
Situated in a sunny field adjoining the woods, this log cabin is a tranquil retreat. It is very spacious for 2 – 6 people with an open floor plan, cathedral ceilings, and 2 private bedrooms. It is impeccably clean and is well equipped with most necessary items. A walking trail across the street gives you access to Cayuga Lake. The cabin is centrally located on the Cayuga Wine Trail. Nearby are hiking trails, biking paths, and quaint shops. The cabin rental costs less per person than many hotels, plus you have your own private space. The radiant floor heating warms the cabin to a cozy temperature on cool nights. It is also air conditioned for your comfort in summer months.
The cabin and property are very nice and exactly what our group was looking for. There was more than enough parking room for our two boats. Cheryl and Tim were a pleasure to deal with. The cabin was clean, well maintained and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Thank you!
Enjoyed chatting with Jim and Cheryl at the campfire pit. Thanks so much for the bottle of wine. Would love to come back in the fall sometime.
I loved my stay at the cabin! It was quiet and comfy. The owners were super nice and very helpful!!! I will be coming back there again soon!!! It was beautiful!!! I was sad to leave!!! Thank you again for everything!! You both are awesome!!!
Rented this cabin for a Thanksgiving get-away. Cabin had a cozy rustic feel yet modern conveniences. Arrived the day before Thanksgiving. Everything was clean and ready to begin small vacation. Jim and Cheryl do an outstanding job with the Welcome Book. Information was current and quite helpful. Jim and Cheryl came over to introduce themselves and brought a welcome bottle of wine. Nice touch. Definitely would like to come back in the summer. Great to deal with Jim and Cheryl - efficient, friendly and professional.
What a wonderful cottage. When we walked in, the aroma of fresh, new wood greeted us. The cottage is excellently appointed, clean and welcoming. We wanted for nothing except more time to spend in this home away from home. My wish is to come back in the spring with my son and his family and rent both cottages.
We had such a nice stay at this cabin. It is even more beautiful in person than the pictures show. Such a peaceful spot but not too far from civilization. The fire pit is lovely and having everything we needed provided is great. The kids loved it, we loved it and can't wait to come back in the summer when we can swim.
