About the property

Old Florida Charm With All The Amenities Of Home Await You.

Located on shore road, just two blocks from nokomis beach. This charming bungalow has been tastefully outfitted so you can get the most enjoyment from your vacation. The cottage has two bedrooms, one bath, living room, eat-in kitchen, and a beautiful screened lanai for evening meals. Master with king, guest with two doubles, and a queen sofa bed as well. Plenty of room for everyone.

It's just a half mile walk or bike ride along the sidewalk to beautiful casey key and nokomis beach - one of the best beaches in florida. Enjoy old florida charm on this scenic 8 mile long barrier island, with no highrise condos or large hotels.

The cottage is equipped with everything you need for the perfect beach day, including fishing poles, tackle, beach chairs, towels, beach bags, umbrella, and even an outdoor shower to wash off when you get home.

Inside you will find a well equipped kitchen, flat screen tv's, dvd, wi-fi, central air, washer/dryer, gas grill, and plenty of linens.

Casey key is "old florida" in every sense. There are no highrises or condos, and no large hotels. Casey key has one of the highest concentrations of nesting sea turtles on the gulf of mexico. The local beaches have beautiful pavilions and picnic areas, lifeguards, and plenty of free parking. Just a short drive to downtown venice or sarasota for cultural events and fine dining.

There are plenty of outdoor activities:

Nokomis beach has a drum circle at sunset every wednesday and sunday.

Great fishing in both the gulf and the icw - public boat launch available.

Go kayaking, rent jet-skis, scuba diving, parasailing, yoga on the beach, eco tours at myakka river state park, paddle boarding, or hunt for shark's teeth - something for every member of the family.

Great location

Starfish cottage is small but net and clean. It is very convenient to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Leslie was easy to deal with and very responsive to all communications.
