Location, location, location!

World class skiing is very near: Homewood is 5 miles away, Alpine Meadows is 6 miles away, Squaw Valley is 8 miles (10-12 minutes) away, Northstar is 16 miles (30 minutes) away. Heavenly, Mt Rose and others are drivable within an hour. Have kids? Enjoy the sledding hill just 200 feet from Shore Camp. For winter rentals January - April, we can usually allow 8pm checkout, allowing you to complete your day of skiing and refresh at Shore Camp before departing (please ask for a late check out when you check in).

For Summer visitors: Walk across 30 feet of lawn from our lakefront, ground level patio and you're in Lake Tahoe. Use the largest pier on Lake Tahoe, which is private to the Tahoe Tavern development in which Shore Camp is located. Walk 1 minute to enjoy the Tahoe Tavern swimming pool that overlooks Lake Tahoe (open Memorial Day - Labor Day, and sometimes longer, depending on weather). Walk 10 minutes down a hiking path into Tahoe City to enjoy dining and shopping. If you have a boat, you can rent a buoy from Tahoe Tavern and park your boat right out front!

Shore Camp offers a stunning lakefront experience with five-star luxury and elegant, professionally designed modern decor. Designed for 1 or 2 families to spread out and experience Lake Tahoe’s splendor, Shore Camp has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a loft that offers an additional sleeping area for children. Altogether, there are beds for 8 adults and 4 children. Completely remodeled in 2015, every visible surface and all furnishings are brand new and were carefully selected to pamper and delight. Shore Camp is available for the first time in late 2015.

Shore Camp is on the lakefront in the Tahoe Tavern development -- on the expansive grounds of the former grand historic Tahoe Tavern hotel -- in Tahoe City. Tahoe Tavern offers a unique location that is only a 10-minute walk, or 2-minute drive, from Tahoe City’s amenities, shopping and restaurants and nearby biking and hiking trails. At the same time, because Shore Camp is located over 800 feet from the nearest public road, and is adjacent to a national park, you will enjoy complete peace and quiet. This is an important distinction from nearly every other lakefront property around Lake Tahoe, which very often are less than 20 feet from the highway that circumnavigates the lake, resulting in highway noise and safety risks. Adults can enjoy the relaxing setting while kids can safely explore the lakefront and surrounding forest, including a sledding hill in winter. Additionally, Tahoe Tavern offers visitors access to its private pier, the largest on Lake Tahoe, and in Summer a large swimming pool. Tahoe Tavern is private, not open to the public, and during peak months access is controlled by a gated entrance staffed by security guards.

Shore Camp’s interior and furnishings were designed by Bay Area luxury home interior designer Carrington Kujawa. The latest in home technology ups the entertainment and convenience factors well beyond the norm. Ground level floors are wide plank French oak adorned with wool area rugs, while counter tops and the main fireplace were carved from beautiful natural stone slabs. Lighting is LED throughout and features dimmers to allow the perfect mood. WiFi is high speed Uverse. The living room has a 65 inch 4K ultra high definition flat panel TV (with 240 motion rate for the best in sports viewing!) with DVD player, DirecTV, Netflix, AppleTV, and 5.1 theater sound. Silent radiant heating warms the floors, with 2 separate zones downstairs. Artwork showcases Lake Tahoe themes and history, especially an exhibition of over 150 actual Lake Tahoe postcards dating back more than 100 years. If there is too much sunlight, use the motorized shades to adjust the natural light at the touch of a button.

The entire ground floor -- great room, dining room and kitchen --- plus the lakefront patio also on the ground level, enjoy unobstructed panoramic views of Lake Tahoe. Tahoe's natural shoreline is around 30 feet away. In warmer months, the lakefront patio features teak hardwood furniture -- including a table that seats 8 or can be expanded in length (using its built in retractable leaf system) to seat 12, plus a giant cantilevered patio umbrella for unobstructed views. In cold months you may use the patio and the furniture is stored in a closet should you wish to use it. A Weber natural gas barbecue grill on the patio is sheltered to allow year round use.

Upstairs, the master suite offers lake views, a California King bed with 700 thread count bedding covering perhaps the best mattress available, stone flooring with area rugs, a cozy modern gas fireplace and super silent ceiling fan. Walk out onto the balcony to more fully appreciate Lake Tahoe’s majesty. The master bathroom, open to the bedroom for a romantic experience that makes the most of the lake views, includes a standing shower, a two-person spa tub, beautiful natural stone covering the walls and counter tops and Turkish cotton towels from Restoration Hardware. The water closet is private, of course. Silent radiant heating warms the floors and allows you to select the perfect temperature just for the master suite. If too much sunlight bothers you in the morning, use the blackout shade for a nearly pitch black bedroom!

The other 3 bedrooms upstairs feature soft wool carpeting, 700 thread count bedding on deluxe mattresses and silent electric heating with individual controls for each bedroom. One bedroom features lakefront views, access to the balcony overlooking Lake Tahoe, a queen sized bed and ceiling fan. Another features a queen sized bed plus a twin sized bed in a loft, along with a 46” 1080p flat panel TV with Blu-Ray player, DirecTV and connectivity to Netflix and other internet services. The fourth bedroom features a California King sized bed, ceiling fan and en suite private access to the bathroom. That bathroom includes two sinks, a private separate room for the toilet and bathtub and Turkish cotton towels from Restoration Hardware. A 3rd story loft offers a fifth sleeping area for children with 3 twin sized beds (note the ceiling has a max height of 6 feet, so this area is not intended for adults). A full sized Electrolux washer and gas dryer are upstairs near the bedrooms.

The chef’s kitchen features natural stone counter tops, a Wolf 6-burner cooktop with convection oven, silent Miele dishwasher, stainless steel Electrolux fridge and freezer with dual ice makers, microwave oven, conventional Miele second oven, blender, toaster oven, Kitchenaid mixer, waffle maker, crock pot, Wüsthof knives, dual Cuisinart coffee makers and all the pots, pans and cooking utensils you could need. Dishware, silverware and glasses are sufficient to serve 12-14 at a time. The dining table seats 10, plus a breakfast bar seats 3 and an additional pub table in the great room seats 4.

The dining table makes for very special gatherings. Custom built for this space, it seats 10 very comfortably. Underneath the glass top are LED panels that will glow any color you choose. Or it will cycle through the whole rainbow. Perfect for adding a little more panache for your special time with family and friends!

Shore Camp is a town home situated between 2 other town homes. Enter Shore Camp at ground level. The second floor features high ceilings and skylights, since there are no other units above. Sorry, no weddings are allowed by the homeowners' association, but consider Shore Camp as a getaway for the lucky couple before and after the wedding, or for a small party with for the couple's closest family and friends.

You will access Shore Camp using a keyless entry keypad on the front door. No need to spend time at a rental agency counter, or looking around for a hidden lockbox. Check in is at 4pm and check out at 11am. Enjoy 8pm checkout on Sundays January through May. Wrap up your day of fun, shower and refresh, and drive back after some of the traffic has eased!

We are happy to offer early check ins and late check outs if the cleaning schedule permits; please check with the property manager in advance of your arrival (you will receive his mobile phone number upon booking).

We do not require a security deposit. Instead, we include a $59 insurance policy in every rental that covers $1,500 of property damage.

We are a Bay Area family who has enjoyed Lake Tahoe for over 15 years. We have owned a home in Northstar for over 10 years, called the Eagle's Nest (VRBO property 437559). We bought this lakefront home in 2014 and spent a year completely remodeling it to the very highest standards. We have young children and entertain extended family and friends in both of our Tahoe homes. We have outfitted both to facilitate gatherings of family and friends -- in luxury, of course! Incredible luxury lakeside living

Our family really enjoyed the location, luxury accommodations, and contemporary feel of this lovely Lake Tahoe rental home. To wake up and see the lake just feet away from two bedrooms and the entire lower floor living area was wonderful. The outside patio area enabled all three generations to enjoy and be together with plenty of seating, shade, BBQ area, grassy space to play, and easy launching of our SUP. We would love to come back to Shore Camp!

Fantastic home for winter or summer stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this property and everything was even better than advertised! We selected it for a ski weekend to scout for a summer return trip and we will definitely be coming back in the summertime, but it was a great house to be in for a ski weekend as well.

Beautiful Home Right on the Lake!

We loved staying at this house during a short weekend in January! It was beautifully decorated, comfortably slept 12, and had everything you could possibly need for cooking a great dinner. The best part was the location, right in the heart of Tahoe City and just 10 steps away from the lake. We'd love to come back to visit again in the summer.

The quality of the design and overall aesthetics of the facility was amazing. You don't see modern very often in Tahoe.

Kitchen was really nice to work in and lots of seating for guests. Bedrooms and bathrooms were great.

We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place with an amazing view and easy access to Tahoe City.
