If you're looking for a perfect tropical vacation home that fits a large family, our stunning Captiva Island Villa is perfect! Our very private and quiet four-bedroom home is located on the Roosevelt Channel of Captiva with its own private dock on the bay. Spend your morning hours looking out of the private gardens or take a stroll and enjoy your morning cup of tea on the dock, watching the manatees play from the privacy of your own dock. From here, you can fish and kayak in the calm water. Being on the narrower part of the island, you can also bike down the street to the gorgeous white sand beaches at Blind Pass and swim or surf there in the Gulf of Mexico. It is a great place to see the sunset every evening.
The home is nearly 4,000 sq. ft and accommodates 8-10 people very comfortably. We’ve recently redecorated this amazing waterfront property. It has wonderfully stocked kitchen with new, modern appliances and offers everything you need to prepare yummy meals each day.
About the location: The home is located just over the bridge from Sanibel Island, which makes it perfectly located for exploring both islands. If you aren’t spending the day on the water, a short drive or lovely bike ride to the quaint town of Captiva to explore the shops and restaurants will ensure a pleasant afternoon. A day exploring the J. N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel is a wonderful activity. Captiva is a very family friendly location, an easy place to take the kids with fun activities for adults too! While staying on Captiva you are sure to see much wildlife from manatees to dolphins to the island’s many birds, all while enjoying a stunning home and beautiful beaches.

Fabulous, well-maintained and well-stocked home, on a very large lot right on the water which provided many hours of family fun fishing, paddleboarding and kayaking! Nicely located near the beaches and just a short bike ride away (provided with the ample amenities!) Dall, the property manager, was great to work with and checked in on us to make sure we were having the time of our lives and provided us with island info. Definitely worth returning to especially since a much-needed pool will be added soon!! :)
We loved this house, and we would stay there again if we come back to Captiva. It had everything a vacationing group could ever need. My husband and I had 4 teenage girls with us, and there was plenty of comfortable space for everyone. The furniture was new, comfortable, clean and sturdy. This was also the best stocked house we have ever stayed in. There was nothing we needed, down to a sewing kit that came in handy when someone's clothes ripped. The house felt luxurious without being stuffy or inappropriate for a beach vacation. We brought a boat and having a private dock was wonderful. We spent every single day out on the water. The garage stocked with bikes, kayaks and paddleboards was also a nice touch. The booking process was great too, very easy. This house is top-notch.
Suggestions: (1) the mosquitos were horrible when we were there in June. You could not sit on the dock or by the BBQ grill without being eaten alive, no matter the time of day. If you have not sprayed lately, you may want to consider doing it often. (2) We arrived just after 5 p.m. on a Saturday. Unfortunately, the only boat ramp on the island (Tween Waters hotel) closed at 5 p.m., and we were not aware that that would be the case. They were very unfriendly and unhelpful about letting us put the boat in the water although it was just after 5 p.m.. We had just driven 10 1/2 hours and were dead tired and just wanted to get the boat in the water and moved to the house's dock. Moreover, the driveway at the house was not large enough to accommodate our truck with boat/trailer attached, and we had no idea where to go or what to do. It is very hard to maneuver the 2 lane narrow road on Captiva with a big truck and boat and trailer, especially if you do not know your way around. We called the local contact person for the house (Dall), and she made some suggestions, but it didn't really solve our issues. You may want to ask future guests if they are bringing a boat and give them some suggestions about where and when they can launch it so they are not in the same predicament we were in.
We were a family of 8 adults & 5 children - but there was lots of room for us all at the Csptiva House!
The pictures don't even do it justice! We had a marvelous trip & everything at the house was perfect. Dall was a very helpful coordinator!
I would recommend this house completely!!
We throughly enjoyed our stay here in Captiva. The home was comfortable, well decorated and stocked with paddle boards, kayakes and bikes as well as coolers, sand chairs, and towels for the beach. Captiva is a charming island and we loved the inland waterway access.
Our first morning sipping coffee on the dock, we had the privilege of two bottle nose dolphins swim by for a visit - that combined with an incredible bird life makes for a wonderfully relaxing vacation. The garden has a tropical oasis feel and a small citrus grove connected. The house itself is perfectly renovated with brand new high end furniture and very comfortable outdoor seating. The pictures don't do this property justice. With the beach across the street (a 3 min walk) we took in the sunset every eve.
Great accommodations and easy to work with nearby manager who took care of cooling issue with downstairs AC system with no inconvenience to our party. Kayaks were fun and wildlife is abundant. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge is nearby and not to be missed. Grill worked great and backyard cocktails were very enjoyable.
Day trip to Fort Myers is easily done. Check out the manatee and Ford/Edison Winter Gardens.
We highly recommend this property.
