About owner/property manager
Danny and Maria Mankin enjoy hiking, biking, going to movies and the arts. They own Begin Pilates, a Pilates and yoga business in Portland where they both teach. They love Portland and have many suggestions for great places to eat, hike and enjoy while visiting the City of Roses.

Quiet, cozy, and close to downtown
We had a great stay here. We enjoyed the beautiful tree-lined streets and appreciated being tucked away in a green alcove. Lots of wonderful amenities like toiletries, coffee, WiFi, and extra towels, pillows and blankets. It is a cute and comfortable cottage. We felt close enough to downtown to make it convenient, but far enough away to avoid the noise and traffic. Would definitely recommend.
Clean! Well-maintained! Quiet! Comfortable bed! Complete, well-stocked kitchen! No shoes inside!
This apartment is everything we were looking for and more. Danny was very friendly and accommodating. Thank you. He and the apartment exceeded our expectations! It felt so much like home; we'll be back.
Great Stay in Portland
The apartment is a great NE find. Its very comfortable (love the bed pillows and comforter!), and has all the kitchen basics for making meals, etc. The apartment is in a great location - beautiful old homes, lush gardens, very walkable. The owners were responsive to questions and friendly folks. I look forward to a return visit.
Quiet, spacious, welcoming Irvington guest house
This charming guest house is set back from the street in a quiet neighborhood. The owner/property manager lives in front and is always available for assistance with questions or concerns. I found the rooms bright and clean and full of fresh flowers, and the kitchen was stocked with the basics, including coffee and creamer and a basket of snack bars and chocolate. I enjoyed sitting on the back patio when it was sunny, and when it was cold the gas fireplace made the living area warm and cozy. The bedroom shares a common wall with the main house, but it was always quiet. I stayed for a week and look forward to going back.
Warm and comfortable
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. This duplex is in the Irvington historical district neighborhood on a tree-lined street. Lots of restaurants nearby. The house is cozy and so comfortable. Although we ate out during our stay, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Lots of nice touches throughout the house. The hosts were easy to reach and answered our questions promptly. Loved this house and would definitely stay here again the next time we're in Portland!
This cottage is even bigger than it looks online. It's on a quiet street with a canopy of trees covering it. Great location, comfy beds. We'd stay there again. Thanks!
