Colorado's Rocky Mountains in Pagosa Springs are home to some of the best skiing (Wolf Creek 35 minutes away) and snowboarding in the country as well as a rejuvenating spot to soak provided by the local hot springs (10 minutes away).

Enjoy the best that Pagosa Springs has to offer in a relaxing home on the lake. This four bedroom 3.5 bathroom house provides plenty of space for families as well as quality sleeping accommodations and modern bathrooms. The master bedroom and bath (Jacuzzi tub) are on the first floor with access to the back deck. The other first floor bedroom has a queen bed and its own bath, a wonderful room for sleeping in.

The main living room downstairs has large panoramic windows that provide a canvas style view of nature to relax and read a book. For those who love to cook and eat the fully equipped kitchen provides plenty of space and an ease of access to the dining areas.

The second story provides another wonderful sitting area with another fireplace, large windows and views of Hatcher Lake and the San Juan Mountains. A large media room with a children's play area ready to entertain 10 or 2 persons is located on the 2nd floor as well. The last two bedrooms are located on the second floor, one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed facing the lake. These two rooms share a bathroom on the second floor.

The house is a short drive from all the activities and restaurants with a grocery store only five minutes away. In the summer you can fish from the dock or drive five minutes to the Pagosa Springs Golf Club, which houses 3 nine hole courses each having their own unique set up that will challenge your game as well provide for a relaxing escape.

You will also have access to the Pagosa Springs Recreation Center. There is a great pool and sundeck, children's pool, sand volleyball, equipment rental, fitness center, clubhouse and more.

NICE PLACE ON QUIET LAKE

WE STAY HERE ON JULY 4TH WEEKEND THE HOUSE IS NICE AND CLEAN LOCATED ON A QUIET LAKE WITH LOTS OF FISH. THE KIDS HAD FUN FISHING. VERY CLOSE TO PAGOSA HOT SPRING/TOWN. WILL COME BACK NEXT CHANCE WE GET!!!

Second time to occupy this roomy, comfortable home. Will try to rent it again.

The house is located on the Hatcher Lake with an incredible view. The four bedrooms provide space for a larger group. The kitchen is fully furnished and one can take home clean clothes with the washer and dryer conveniently located near the kitchen.

All depends on your expectations.

First I should say this was a very nice property with a great Lakefront view and a very nice dock for fishing or using to launch a paddle board.

However, depending on your experience and expectations there were several issues that should have been better addressed.

1) The lake does not allow swimming which would have been nice to know as that is why we wanted a lakefront property for our 3 children

2) No air-conditioning (admittedly it was not advertised) but if you go in the summer the place can get quite stuffy and leaving windows open with the screen only marginally works to keep out the bugs and of course does nothing for the often present skunks

3) The appliances really need to be modernized as the dishwasher and dryer were quite inefficient. Also there are no tupperware containers which may be a factor depending on how you cook.

Also, there seemed to be the expectation that paper towels, toilet paper, and soaps were your own responsibility

4) There was quite a bit of food from a prior renter we presumed left in the refrigerator and two of the cabinets including items that had an expiration date from 2013....not a very pleasant find to say the least.

5) There were bikes in the garage but no pumps or helmets that we could find

6) The propane grill is rather inconveniently in the garage

7) There is a boat taking up garage space but you are not permitted to use it

8) Wolf Creek Ski Area is advertised as 35 min and it realistically is at least 45 (twice on google maps I confirmed and it was 45-46min.

The Market is advertised as 5 min and it is 15 and Walmart is just past that.

Town is realistically 15-20 min

The times may not be major issues but again it depends on your expectations and needs.

10) Advertised as sleeping 10 but this includes 2 pull-out couches for which there where no sheets

11) We noticed on the last day a letter that said we should have checked all the Carbon Monoxide detectors and sign-off as such (seems that is what the cleaning fee and real estate company are for).

We also discovered at that point that since we were there more than 5 days we were supposed to take our trash to a dumpster at some point.

12) When we had an issue with the lock box on the front door and could not lock it, I was told by the emergency property management number that she was unavailable as she was out horse back riding.

I realize some of these issues are perhaps minor but again depends on your ,expectations, travelling companions and time of year.

Memory maker!

We spent 5 thanksgivings here with our grown kids and spouses and grandkids, so wonderful to have so much room for everyone to play, enjoyed sitting on the deck and drinking our coffee! The living room has a wonderful views of wildlife! The kitchen is amazingly supplied, we were able to cook all dinners with no problem, including a Thanksgiving feast! One year there was snow and we made snowmen, one year so nice we played corn hole and fished! We drove to Durango for the polar express every year, it was wonderful! I highly recommend it!

Memory maker!

So love this place for my holidays stays! We had six adults and five grandkids! Close to the Hot Springs, the Durango silver ton railroad. Love drinking our coffee on the deck, and sitting in front of the beautiful living room windows watching the wildlife. My husband and Daughter cut some wonderful fish off the dock! Wonderfully supplied in the kitchen we cook Thanksgiving dinner with no problems, beautifully decorated. Can't say enough about it! I highly recommend it!
