Nice & Clean
Very clean & decorated very nice as well. Lots of room & convenient to walk everywhere. Definitely recommend & will be back!!
Great time great accommodations.
Good place to stay. Clean. Good access to downtown and not too far of a walk to River Street.
Feels Like Home
Great size rooms, lovely architecture and well appointed. The courtyard is awesome. A bit of a walk to River Street but it just a few steps from the free DOT bus that takes you through the historic district. Our one issue was check in is late and check out is early. We didn’t purchase the extra time at reservation but will the next trip. We will be back.
We traveled to savannah with two young kids and this place was in a perfect location. We were able to walk to both the river and the park with no problems, felt safe, and had plenty of places nearby for morning coffee and food. The place was clean and as advertised. We like to cook as well and we’re able to do so with no problems. However, if you have any specialty cooking items I would bring it because the kitchen supplies are basic. The only minor thing that was a bummer was a large amount of bees on the patio but no idea where they were coming from. Overall a fantastic place to stay and would recommend to anyone.
Nearly every neighborhood will provide you with historic landmarks, restaurants, shopping, tour opportunities and more. If you're interested in railroad history, you can't miss Tricentennial Park and the Georgia Railway National Landmark District. The Georgia State Railroad Museum is here and contains a range of exhibits on railroads, engines and how they work. The Savannah Theatre is worth a visit as it is now the oldest theater in continuous operation in the country as of its opening in 1818. Forsyth Park could be considered the centerpiece of the Historic District and is definitely a must-visit. Spend time strolling the well-manicured trails and visit the famous iron fountain. The park was featured prominently in the "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" franchise.
Savannah is full of great places to eat, but two of the most popular might be Leopold's Ice Cream Parlor and The Lady and Sons Restaurant. Leopold's is nearly a century old and features historic decor that will remind you of a soda fountain from days gone by. The Lady and Sons is Paula Deen's and features the best in Southern comfort food. It is located near the City Market and Ellis Square right off Congress Street.
If you are enjoying a longer stay and want to branch out, then a quick escape to Tybee Island might be in order. The small barrier island is only 20 minutes out of downtown Savannah and features sandy beaches and clear blue waters. Visit the old lighthouse, tour Fort Pulaski, take a dolphin tour or just relax on the beach.
Another fun experience in Savannah is to attend one of the many festivals that happen in the city throughout the year. Depending on the time you go, you might have access to some of the following:
-Martin Luther King Parade
-Savannah Black Heritage Festival
-First Fridays and First Saturdays on the River
-Saint Patrick’s Day in Savannah
-SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival
-Fourth of July on the River
-Savannah Film Festival
-Taste of Savannah
-Christmas on the River and Lighted Parade
The Saint Patrick's Day parade in Savannah is the second largest in the country and the celebration is one of the city's most popular.
