My husband is one of 14 children and this home was built to share with family.
Liz Woods purchased this house in 2007
We feel in love with this area when we were visiting friends many years ago. We decided to build a house that would accommodate our large and extended family. We found our lot when we responded to an ad that read 'a slice of heaven', we still think of it that way.
Our house is located directly on the lake and adjacent to the association beach.
We had a great time at Liz's house. It was a beautiful property and she was incredibly easy to deal with (and available). Great layout for 2-3 families with kids. Would go back in a heartbeat.
My family had a fabulous reunion at this comfortable, roomy , well appointed home with almost every amenity available. It was well located near Wilmington and the Mount Snow area. My family especially appreciated wifi accessibility and lake accessibility.
The owner was readily available and responsive to handle any questions we had. That was reassuring.
We enjoyed the foliage while enjoying a few meals prepared in the spacious kitchen.
We would recommend this home to all.
My family and I rented this house over the extended Labor Day Weekend. We were 6 adults and 10 children and this house was absolutely perfect for our family. It provided enough space for all us to gather and hang out but it also allowed us to each have some privacy too. We were not aware that the bunk rooms were on the bottom floor but this was a excellent surprise. We were able to have some separation from the teenagers/kids downstairs. And they enjoyed having their own space. My mother in law had knee surgery in July and is still using a cane to get around, having the main floor master was perfect for her. The lake was stunning. The kids loved the paddle board and the double kayak. The little kids made sand castles at the beach area. And almost everyone enjoyed a game of tennis at the tennis court! The big kitchen and table was also excellent to be able to cook for our entire family. My mother in law enjoyed using the pub table to set up a puzzle for the weekend! Each bathroom was beautiful, and clean. We also held a "church" service for our family out on the gazebo, Sunday morning. It was also nice you could get to a grocery store, town center in under 10 minutes. I could go on and on with how wonderful our stay was at the house. This house is excellent for big families and you will not be disappointed.
Our four daughters and five grandsons(ages 1 to 4) joined us for a lovely vacation in Vermont. The house was well maintained and spacious and comfortably furnished. There was lots of space for the children to play. They loved the downstairs room.
The kitchen easily accommodated more than one cook and the kitchen was wonderfully stocked.
We all loved the lake. The children played for hours on the beach and the grown ups loved sitting and reading.
It was a very successful and relaxing vacation and we thank the Woods for their stunning vacation home.
We would recommend this house for any large gathering especially with active children.
The Maunz Family
My friends and I rented this house for our yearly vacation and this property worked out great for our combination of couples and singles. The large kitchen worked perfectly for group cooked meals and the large table was perfect for our late night games (board games at the house added to our collection lead to new games all week). The weather was rainy for the first few days but we made the most of it checking out all the shops and different things available in Wilmington. The sunny days of the week were spent playing outdoor games and lounging by the lake. The best part was everyone had their own space so we could all do exactly what we wanted. The owner's were great to work with and were available for any needs or questions. This is a fantastic house for large group getaways.
This property as well as the location was ideal for our needs.
A serene and picturesque location for a large family gathering, for a few days to “chill” and celebrate our son's graduation for thirteen people. This property served us well indeed. The house easily accommodated all and quite comfortably. Tag football in the front yard by the lake. Swimming, sunning and relaxation just by walking out your door.
The home itself was gorgeous, very well equipped w/ large kitchen, dining area, numerous bedrooms and a great play room area.
One of the best features of this property is its privacy. You feel like yours is the only home on the lake !
Highly recommended !
