In late 2016 we completed a massive 6-month remodel, making this one of the more spectacular vacation homes you'll find for rent in Old Town. In 2017 we received the Ceramic Star for historic preservation - the highest award given by the Historic Florida Keys Foundation.

It's located in Key West's prominent Old Town neighborhood - just two blocks away from Duval Street. Located next to the famous Key West lighthouse and around the corner from the Hemingway Home, our vacation home has a private heated pool, 2 private, gated off-street parking spots, free Wifi, free bikes & tons more.

Upon arriving, the first thing you'll notice is a spacious, airy front porch situated high behind a row of lush palm trees. Upon entering through the front door, you'll notice the 17' ceiling in the living room and 15' ceiling in the kitchen area, creating a spacious, open feel to the floor plan. With over 15 windows, there's tons of natural light in this home.

Centrally located and within easy walking distance to everything in Old Town, this home is just steps away from Key West's famous lighthouse & museum and around the corner from the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum. It's conveniently situated on the quiet, one-way end of Truman Avenue and is less than two blocks from Duval Street.

This Old Town property is located in Bahama Village and is extremely close to Blue Heaven, Santiago's Bodega, Green Parrot Bar, Nine One Five, Six-Toed Cat, and more. The Key West Lighthouse is next door and the Hemingway Museum is right around the corner.

Don't let the address fool you. This home is located on the quiet end of Truman Avenue, past Whitehead Street where Truman becomes a one-way street. Being only 2 blocks from Duval, this highly desirable location is very quiet and tough to beat.

This property is clean and tastefully furnished. With a gas range and stainless steel appliances, it includes everything you'll need in the kitchen: dishes, pots & pans, utensils, knives, dish towels, glassware & more. The only thing missing from this recently updated kitchen is a dishwasher. There's a brand new gas grill in the back yard near the heated pool.

It doesn't hurt that our home is less than two blocks from Duval, less than a half-mile from South Beach, and just a few blocks from Blue Heaven, Firefly, Santiago's Bodega, Blue Macaw, & more.

The property is in excellent shape and in a very good location. There are six good restaurants within a short walk. There is easy access to the beach at Zachary Taylor state park. The mitsubishi heat pumps are quite and allow the temperature in each room to be controlled independently. We have rented since 2002 and highly recommend it!

Perfect winter getaway

The finished remodel is beautiful! Very comfortable and clean, all you could ask for! Close to great food and drinks on Duval and many other great spots.

Loved the deck, grill, and pool. Owners have thought of everything! Highly recommend!

Wonderful get-away!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this home. It is the perfect location for exploring Key West. We were able to walk to Duval Street for our morning coffee and croissants at Croissants de France and pretended we were locals watching the tourists. Later in the day we would meander around and hit the watering holes for beverages and more people watching.

The house is very comfortable, clean and well appointed. The back deck area is perfect for relaxing and hanging out, or once again for people watching, head to the front porch and say 'hi' to the neighbors.

Scot and Heather were very nice and responsive, we would love to stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone.

Comfortable, clean cottage in excellent location

We had a great time while staying at this property! The location is perfect - a short bike ride to Ft. Zachery Taylor Park and the beach, a block and a half off Duval and near lots of museums and most restaurants. The area is quiet and the neighbors are friendly. There's off street parking for two cars which was so helpful, along with 4 bikes so you rarely need to move your car. The pool is small but did the job! We used the back deck hours on end for dining, game playing, reading and just hanging out. There's a small dog park nearby and the fence around the property allowed safe space for our 2 poodles to explore. The linens are quite nice and the beds were comfy. The kitchen is adequate and the owners were terrific about responding to our requests for small kitchen items we felt would add to our stay. In fact, the owners' responsiveness on every question and request was benchmark! We felt like they really had our best interests in mind and anticipated many of our questions before we even had them. We would stay here again!

GREAT FAMILY VACATION

WE HAD A GREAT TIME IN KEY WEST. EVERYONE SHOULD EXPERIENCE THE BEAUTY OF THE KEYS AND LIFE ON DUVAL ST. OUR KIDS JOINED US FOR A WEEK WHILE WE WERE THERE. WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR.

307 TRUMAN WAS JUST LIKE ADVERTISED. CLEAN, QUIET, ROOMY ENOUGH FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY OF 5 ADULTS AND 1 CHILD, AND IN A GREAT LOCATION. THE PRIVATE POOL AREA WAS A DAILY BONUS. THE POOL IS 5 FT DEEP WITH SEATING AT ONE END MAKING IT PERFECT FOR LOUNGING. THE 4 BIKES WERE GREAT AND ALLOWED US TO EXPLORE KEY WEST EVEN FURTHER WITHOUT GETTING INTO THE CAR.

THE REAL ASSET TO THIS LOCATION IS THE PEOPLE. SCOT AND HEATHER ARE EXEMPLARY HOSTS, VERY PERSONABLE AND ATTENTIVE. THEIR PRIORITY IS THAT YOU ENJOY YOUR TIME WHILE IN THEIR HOME. THIS IS APPARENT BY THEIR CHOICE OF SERVICE PROVIDERS THEY HIRE. DARWIN'S YARD WORK, ROSE'S (ANGELS OF KEY WEST) COMPLIMENTARY CLEANING SERVICE AND BRIAN'S POOL SERVICE WERE TOP NOTCH. WE KNEW WHEN THEY WERE COMING AND THEY DID A PROFESSIONAL JOB.

THE HOUSE IS ADORABLE, BUILT IN THE KEY WEST SAWTOOTH STYLE, WITH A QUAINT AND RELAXED FEEL. IT HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO ENJOY YOUR STAY AND EVERYTHING IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. STAYING THERE WAS WORRY FREE ALLOWING US TO ENJOY OUR TIME IN KEY WEST.

WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND SPENDING AS MUCH TIME AS POSSIBLE AT SCOT AND HEATHER'S. WE FELT VERY MUCH AT HOME.

Great Location!

We stayed at this home in January 2016, and loved the location. The home is conveniently located just 2 blocks off of Duval St, and within walking distance to almost everything. We rented a car the first day and found we did not need it, as the owners provide bicycles which are a fun and easy way to get around the island. We even did our grocery shopping with the bikes! The home is clean, and well equipped. It's bright and welcoming. We really enjoyed morning coffee on the front porch. The bank yard has a nice covered patio and cocktail pool. The owners are super quick to respond and you can tell that they really want their guests to enjoy their vacation. They provided a welcome guide with lots of great tips and information. This is a great spot!

Visitors to Key West have started paying closer attention to the Bahama Village neighborhood after discovering Blue Heaven, one of the most popular breakfast spots on the island. New dining options keep cropping up like Blue Macaw, Santiago’s Bodega, Six-Toed Cat, and La Creperie. Beyond the restaurant scene, Key West's famous Duval Street is less than 2 blocks away. If you interested in spending time at the beach, both South Beach and Ft. Zachary Taylor Beach are about a half-mile away.
