About this property

Waterfront All Seasonal Private Island Home

An all-seasonal waterfront cottage, located in Laconia on Lake Winnipesaukee, available for any type of getaway, whether hiking, boating, skiing or golfing. Swim from the private beach and enjoy a nice picnic. Cottage features private beach, grill, AC, wireless Internet, Cable TV and gas fireplace for those cool nights. This is not your typical rental - it is perfect for a single family or two couples.

Whether looking for a romantic get-away or a quiet family gathering, this beautifully furnished house accommodates up to 5 people and is perfect for your vacation needs. My goal is to provide a beautiful, clean, well-equipped home. There is clear water in which to swim, nice fishing grounds to fish, and an excellent environment to relax and enjoy.

Near Weirs Beach activities (10 minutes or less), and short drive to beautiful and scenic towns of Meredith and Wolfeboro. Many attractions within a car ride - Storyland, Weirs Beach, Hiking, Surf Coaster, Mount Washington Cruises, Meadowbrook Concert Pavilion, Pirate's Cove Mini-Golf, and so much more! Also a short drive from a grocery store, gas station, Walmart, and Tilton Outlets.

Gunstock Mountain is located less than 9 miles away. Perfect for a family looking to enjoy some skiing while still getting away from the crowded mountain.

Lake Winnipesaukee is the sixth largest natural lake completely inside US borders. It covers 72 square miles, is 28 miles long and 13 miles wide, and has over 230 islands.
Guests must bring your own linens and towels (laundry is on-site at no additional cost). All cottages are non-smoking and no pets are allowed.

My boat slip is NOT available for 2024 unfortunately. You can launch and store at the following marinas which are close to the property (<10 minute drive).

Lovely little cottage on charming Christmas Island
We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay in July. The listing was accurate and and the location could not have been better. We knew there was a small beach on the island and we ended up using it much more frequently than we expected. We never had a problem finding lounges, chairs or a table. Communication with Brandon was excellent. We had two minor issues and he responded in minutes to our texts. Brandon was a great host in the well equipped and tastefully decorated cottage, Unlike the photos of window air conditioners, the air conditioning was provided by a mini split system with units in the living area and both bedrooms. This kept everything nice and cool on the hot summer days. The second bedroom has one full/double bed. Just be aware of that when planning sleeping arrangements. There is a pull out queen sleeper sofa in the living room that could be used in a pinch, but the other beds were much more comfortable for an extended stay. We would definitely stay again.

Great Location
My family and I stayed here with our two small children. We had a great time. The listing was accurate and we were pleased with everything. The neighborhood was very cute and it was about a minute walk to the beach. The backyard was waterfront but wasn’t the spot to swim. Overall we loved it - would definitely stay again.

A WEEK AMONG THE LEAVES
This was my first time in New England. Very beautiful setting on the lake. The house was quaint, but kind of small for the four of us. Also, the gas fireplace wasn't working, which was a little disappointing. The location was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the reds, greens and golds of the beautiful fall leaves.

Lovely Location
Our family had a lovely time this fall staying for a weekend. We were so busy exploring the area, we actually didn't spend a lot of time inside. It is nice having a place to sit outdoors and my son even swam the lake in mid October! We used the grill and had a relaxing but fun weekend. My only complaint is that the home smelled like smoke when we arrived. We opened all the windows and tried to air things out but the smell lingered the whole weekend. I knew that we needed to bring sheets but I forgot about the a past review that mentioned bringing extra paper towels. So a minor suggestion - if a property wants the VRBO members to keep things clean, it does make sense to assist them with more than 1 roll of paper towels.
