This authentic New Orleans shotgun double is walking distance to Jazz Fest, street car and great neighborhood restaurants and coffee shops! A short stroll to City Park to Morning Call for a café au lait and beignets, amusement park, golf course, sculpture garden, botanical garden and New Orleans Museum of Art. The streetcar line is within walking distance. 2 miles to the French Quarter. The beds, linens, pillows, and furniture are brand new. Backyard patio. Have a great evening in the city, but come home to relax in this wonderful, quiet, pride-in-home-ownership community. Owners will meet you upon arrival to answer any and all questions you might have and show you around the house.

Why Wendy Tynes chose Esplanade Ridge

We chose this home because we wanted to be able to have a great time in the City, walk to eclectic neighborhood restaurants, enjoy City Park ( the 6th-largest and 7th-most-visited urban public park in the United States) and quiet mornings at the local coffee shops. An added plus is the neighborhood is primarily owner-occupied and pride of ownership shows!

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with this home because it feels like we own a piece of New Orleans history. If you're ever in the mood for company, the porch is a great meeting/greeting place. Sit out there and neighbors are certainly soon to join for good conversation. It's a great place to "people watch" as the jazz fest fans walk by. We love the Old New Orleans neighborhood feel and architecture.

Cozy stay in a perfect location!

My daugher was married in New Orleans. Bride and bridesmaids used this home for getting dressed and taking pictures before the wedding! What a great day we had. Pictures on the porch came out beautiful. Home is in excellent condition, has everything you need and is perfectly located in wonderful Mid City. Neighbor were very nice and enjoyed watching the wedding fun! Highly recommend this property!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Home was great for a girls getaway. All the neighbors were really friendly. Felt very safe in a good part of town- really close to Bourbon and Frenchmen Street.

Wendy was always available for questions.

You can’t get better than this gem. There are great restaurants within a few blocks. CC,s coffee house is one block away and has all of the treats you want both savory and sweet. The house was super clean and beautifully decorated and had great WiFi and TV. The neighbors and neighborhood are charming. I walked every morning for about an hour. Safe, secure, charming, and the scent of olive trees. This will be my choice home away from home every time I visit the Big Easy

The best spot in New Orleans

After many visits to New Orleans, we’re convinced that MidCity/Esplanade Ridge is the best location in town, within 15 minutes of everything (<10 to the Fr Qtr) with a car and very accessible even w/o one. And La Madison Dupre is the best place to stay. Roomy, clean, outfitted with everything you need. It may take a little time to get used to shotgun-style living, but the layout of the house allows for privacy and quiet. It can get chilly on exceptionally cold winter nights (we had snow in early December!), but there are blankets and heaters and it doesn’t last long. We definitely plan to return.

Beautiful old house in prefect neighborhood

We absolutely loved the house! So much character while having all the modern aminites. Wendy made sure we were comfortable and everything was perfect. Could not have been in a better location. The neighbors were very friendly. We were within 2 miles of the French Quarter with it's awesome food! We will be back!

Great location

We hardly was there, but the stay was great! Owner was very nice. She even let us check in a couple hours early. I will rent this property again. The only thing I didn't like was the privacy. There are no doors in rooms. Shotgun house style. The kitchen is the last room to house. So if you have to go to kitchen you have to walk through all the rooms. This house would be good for a couple, a small family, and a girls getaway trip.
