Relax in a beautifully restored home built in 1909. Stretch out and enjoy some space by rocking on the front porch or enjoying the lighted outdoor garden space. . This property is in a quiet neighborhood great for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors yet close enough to shopping in downtown Sanford or Winter Park. Great outdoor activities of hiking, biking or boating are nearby as well. Theme parks and beaches are a short drive away.
This historic home has beautiful touches done by an expert carpenter. Windows flanking the back of the house looking out to the beautiful gardens. Built in 1909 yet has modern updates.
This street is one of the loveliest in the historic homes area of Sanford, and the owner shared some interesting history of this well-kept home. They've created a gorgeous oasis in the backyard, and it's a pleasure to sit out here and read or enjoy a meal. Warm reception from wonderful people; and care taken to provide delightful details to welcome and bless those staying in this beautiful home. This is a home they live in at least part of the time, instead of a dedicated rental, and have clearly lavished love and care on this place. Many thanks!
Love this house so much, I live down the street and wanted our friends and family to live in our neighborhood for our wedding weekend instead of the terrible selection of hotels that we have. So I found this place and it was just the right comfort and awesome back yard all my girlfriends from out of town felt right at home here. I love it because they know now where to stay next time. Thank you for sharing your space with us!! Always remembered and we will use again!
My wife and I had a great time staying here. The hosts were very nice and responsive to any questions we had. The back yard was very nice as well with some fun lighting. It was evident that the hosts had put a lot of time and effort into this house. We slept great every night on the comfortable beds in this quiet neighborhood. Love the brick streets too! We would stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
What a wonderful stay! The neighborhood is completely enchanting with its tree -lined brick streets. This house is located in a beautiful historic neighborhood and only blocks away from downtown waterfront district. The owners have thought of everything. Every detail has been taken care of. The backyard is a true paradise. We spent many evenings sitting on the back patio underneath the twinkling lights. Too many amenities to list. There were bikes, a bags game, golf clubs available for use and many other wonderful treats. The owners were very pleasant to deal with. Definitely recommend this house for anyone considering the Sanford area.
This home is a gorgeous historic home in Sanford, beautifully decorated and well kept. We were at a soccer tournament in Sanford, and it was so nice to be able to come home and relax after the games. The pictures don't do it justice. We were visiting in December and it was well-decorated for Christmas! Each room was a delight! I enjoyed sitting out on the front porch in the rocking chairs and reading. We also loved eating breakfast in the backyard by the fountain. We walked down the street to a scrumptious pizza place by the river. The little town had several interesting antique shops and a small bookstore we visited.
But one of the best things about the house is its lovely owners, Frank and Krista. They were there to greet us when we arrived and gave us the tour of the home. So personable and full of great information about places to eat, soccer fields, etc. They left us a yummy gift basket and a fridge stocked with beverages and condiments. They had games available, soft towels, and even laundry detergent. They were also just a text away if we had any questions. They responded quickly to all our questions too. It was like having concierges on speed dial! Krista was also very kind to text us and let us know we left a phone charger, which she kindly mailed to us within a few days!
I would highly recommend this home to anyone visiting the area. It truly exceeded all our expectations! If we return to this soccer tournament again we will most defiantly want to stay here again!!!
Farmer's market in downtown Sanford (a short walk away ) and in Winter Park (20 minute drive). Winter Park is a beautiful area with shopping, museums and restaurants.
