Great place to stay!!! Very comfortable very quiet. I would definitely stay their again!!
Great place to stay!!! Small, but quaint. Modern look and very comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood despite the train tracks being close. Older home built in the 50s, but nicely updated. Fire pit with chairs in the back yard. Was great for me and my dogs. I would definitely stay their again!!
Thank you Kory! Glad you enjoyed your stay at Leafy Oak Cottage! Come back again soon! Steven
Leafy Oak Cottage
It was a lovely getaway. We loved the fact that we could walk to the delicious restaurants/bars in North Charleston / Park Circle.
Thanks Melissa. We also appreciated the private feedback and I'm happy to say all issues have been resolved. We always appreciate it when I guests give us insights and ways to improve our homes! Steven
The good and the not so good
The good- we were very happy with Steven, we had a problem with the tv, he was quick to respond and had it fixed fairly quickly. The location was great. Close to a lot of great restaurants. The bed was really comfortable and there were enough towels and wash cloths to get us by.
The not so good- the floor in the livingroom has a definite slant to one side. The floor in the kitchen was very "spongy" , my husband and I were careful not to step in the same spot, not sure if the floor would give way. There was mold under the bathroom window and it grew significantly during our stay. The gap around the front door allowed lots of bugs and little lizards into the house. My husband put up some temporary weather stripping to stop the flow.
It is a cute little cottage, but with all the structural problems we won't be staying there again.
We're glad we could switch out the TV for you so quickly. We like to address issues quickly. We're disappointed in the 2 star review, that's harsh considering you didn't even bring up any of the other concerns to us at all during your stay, including when I was at the home and asked you if there was anything else at all that we can do. We really don't want our guests putting up weather stripping, for example. We'll take care of it. You're here to relax and I'm very sorry you didn't get to do just that but all it takes is a text or in this case I was standing there asking you. We're disappointed.
It was an easy drive to Charleston and near beautiful parks
Thanks. The parks are a hidden gem. Definitely worth a walk! Steven
Lovely house, great location. Would definitely rent this again!
The house is lovely. Quiet and out of the way, but very close to all the Charleston attractions. All the little touches made us feel very welcome. We had an amazing trip. Would definitely rent this again.
Thank you Kayce! Glad you enjoyed your visit, come back soon! Steven
Nice stay in Charleston
We had a great time in Charleston. The accommodations were comfortable. The local area seems to have a couple of nice restaurants /breweries. Charleston is a unique area. We loved the atmosphere
Thank you Joseph. Sounds like a good stay! Steven
Book your Charleston vacation rental and experience coastal beauty infused with Southern charm!
When you plan a Charleston vacation, you pick your experience. Our guests can stay in downtown along the Ashley River or nearby in island destinations such as Folly Beach and the Isle of Palms.
Enjoy both history and modernity in one of our Charleston vacation rentals. From the area’s pristine beaches to PGA Tour golf courses, fine dining, and rich historical landmarks, families and singles alike can't get enough of Charleston. So much so, the city has consistently ranked as the No. 1 world-renown vacation spot by Travel + Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler.
Start your vacation outdoors and explore both the Atlantic Ocean and Cooper River. Families can relax on one of the area beaches or get in the water for boating, fishing, kayaking, parasailing, swimming and surfing. Charleston also houses nature preserves, gardens, parks and the South Carolina Aquarium, a family favorite.
When not enjoying the scenery, head to the dozens of attractions and festivals in Charleston that celebrate history and arts and culture. History buffs will find opportunities to learn more about both the Civil War and the Revolutionary War with access to historical sites, including churches, stunning plantation homes and the Fort Sumter National Monument. No trip will feel complete without taking one of the many guided ghost and walking tours to see more than 50 museums – including America's first theater, the Dock Street Theatre in the French Quarter – and art galleries that showcase the area's rich national heritage and local culture.
Our guests also have a blast shopping at the King Street Fashion District, which includes dozens of retailers selling everything from antiques and apparel to locally made treats. The city's food scene also ranks as one of the best in the U.S., and has more than 150 restaurants showcasing chef-inspired dishes as well as traditional favorites.
If you prefer to stay outside but in proximity to the city, iTrip Vacations also has vacation rentals located in Folly Beach and Isle of Palms, two barrier islands off the South Carolina coast. These destinations feature miles of beaches, family-friendly activities, award-winning restaurants and more.
Stay in a Folly Beach vacation rental, and have a blast on or off the water. Folly Island sits between the Folly River and Atlantic Ocean, providing the best of both freshwater and saltwater activities. Families enjoy relaxing on the beaches, biking, boating, fishing, dolphin-watching, kayaking and sailing.
The island houses two parks that offer public beach access and events: Folly River Park and Folly Beach County Park, both located in proximity to restaurants, shopping and play areas. Another must-see attraction is the Folly Beach Fishing Pier, where visitors can fish, watch wildlife and spend time together. Although locals refer to this spot as the Edge of America, Folly Island is only a 15-minute drive to Charleston.
Isle of Palms – located only 12 miles to Charleston – offers a friendly beach community complete with modern amenities to create a place to have fun and relax. The area has a thriving district packed full of shops and restaurants surrounded by miles of beaches and residences. Popular Isle of Palms activities include fishing charter adventures, sightseeing, watersports and golf at the Wild Dunes Island resort.
