Want to stay at Hawaii for several weeks or longer but want the flexibility and cost-savings of a condo? Dislike poorly equipped, non-stylish rental properties? If so, let us share our resort-inspired vacation condo- the "Hale Ho'onanea" (Restful) Villa- with you. Our condo is fully-furnished and graciously equipped to accommodate up to 3 adults (or 2-3 couples), or a family with several children. Long-term rentals are preferred (inquire for rates); however, we can sometimes accommodate short-term guests.
The condo is located in the Ko Olina Kai Olina Kai Development on the Ko Olina Resort, which is a short (5-10 minute) walk to the Disney Aulani and Four Seasons Resorts and Spas, a PGA-accredited golf course (with driving range), other shopping and dining, and the resort's beautiful lagoons. Ko Olina is also a 10 minute (3 mile) drive from Kapolei, which has a Costco, Target, OfficeMax, Wet-n-Wild Water Park, a movie theater, and many other shopping, dining, and entertainment opportunities. Nearby beaches provide world-class surfing and snorkeling venues. And (except for during rush hour), Waikiki and other hot spots in Honolulu are only ~35 minutes away. But for those who want to stay on resort, no car is required: everything from a market with groceries, shopping, spas, golfing, fine dining, and the beach is a short walk from our condo, and an airport shuttle or car service are easily available.
The unit's upgrades include sophisticated Asian and island decor, plantation shutters, bamboo, tile, and area rug flooring, high quality appliances, and comfortable, hotel-grade beds and linens. The open floor plan features a kitchen, dining, and living area with master suite and lanai on one side, and guest bedroom, office, bath, and laundry closet on the other. All rooms feature wall-mounted TVs. The master bedroom features a king bed, two closets (one walk-in), and bathroom. The two guest bed rooms, one which is set up to serve as an office and/or playroom, both feature a queen bed and closet and share a bath. The dining table seats 6, plus there is additional seating at the kitchen counter and on the lanai. The living room has a big screen TV and entertainment system and a wall-mounted fish tank, and the lanai has a grill, additional seating, and a great view. Beach equipment, bath robes, a printer/scanner (with phone/fax available upon request) are also included. All closets have been upgraded to provide additional storage not found in most equivalent condos. There is a one car garage with additional storage installed, and there is another tandem parking spot in back of the garage; visitor parking is also available. Pool/spa access in the development is provided as part of the rental. Guests can also pay a small fee to sign up for the Ko Olina Beach Club which provides gym access, fitness classes, stand up paddle boarding, tennis, golf lessons, and more.

We, Whitney & Andrew Moore, bought this condo in 2010 when we were both sent here on US military Active Duty service after spending many years deployed overseas. We very much enjoyed making this condo and Hawaii our home. When we had to move back to the mainland, we decided to keep this condo so we could share our home with our family, friends, and other guests, especially those who are sick of the average poor quality of rental properties.

After months of searching for real estate on Oahu, we fell in love with the Ko Olina resort, and decided upon the location and amenities of the Ko Olina Kai development. There are obviously many beautiful places throughout the Hawaiian islands, but on Oahu, we believe Ko Olina is one of the best places, given it's beauty, tranquility, and convenience.
Staying at Ko Olina provides a restful place to work and play. It is right off the highway and is only a half hour away from Honolulu (except during rush hour), but yet seems a world away from the traffic, crowded beaches, and other chaos encountered in Waikiki/elsewhere on the island.
The high quality mattresses, hotel quality linens, towels, and robes, gourmet kitchen, home office (or playroom), and our central, yet quiet location bring all the benefits of being on the Ko Olina resort at a fraction of the cost of staying at a resort. Plus we will provide a visitor's guide with suggestions of what to do/where to go and are happy to provide further consultations prior to your arrival and during your stay to ensure your trip, whether it is a vacation or work trip, is a success. Additional cleaning services, grocery shopping services, and other services can be arranged as desired. And, as already noted, unit can also be provided partially furnished or unfurnished for longer-term stays; please enquire about discounts available for these longer term stays.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our month of rest at this beautiful hidden gem. We arrived exhausted, stressed, and ready to vacate!! Whitney met us with Lei's, a smile, and beautiful decorated the condo with exotic Hawaiian flowers!! She was extremely helpful and even lunch waiting for us upon our arrival! If you are looking for a vacation or long term rental, look no further. Our family has traveled around the world the last 10+ years, and have never found a host that was as gracious as the owner of this condo. The decor was beautiful, beds were super-comfortable, and the place was just sooo quiet!!! Ko Olina is our only recommendation for any friends or family to visit. If you have any doubts about the property, or the owners of this beautiful condo, let them be silenced immediately. The only bad experience we had, was the day we had to leave!! Our entire family cried the 30 minute drive to the airport!! We look forward to visiting Ko Olina's "hidden gem" again!!
Ko Olina is a stunning resort area on Oahu's west side, located about 20 minutes (21 miles) away from the Honolulu Airport. It features pristine lagoons (perfect for swimming!), Four Season's Oahu Resort & Spa, Disney's Aulani Resort & Spa, the Marriott Beach (Vacation) Club, a PGA- accredited golf course, and great dining and shopping, including Roy's, MonkeyPod, an island mart where groceries can be bought. Although there is no need to leave the resort or get into a car as everything is within easy walking distance of our condo, less than 10 minutes drive away in Kapolei, there is convenient shopping and dining, including Costco, Target, Walmart, Outback Steakhouse, Chili's, and more. There is also a Wet and Wild Water Park, world-class surfing and snorkeling, and the Waikele Outlet stores nearby. Should you want to go shopping in Honolulu or to enjoy Waikiki's many attractions, it is a 35 minute drive (except during rush hour), but many find they prefer Ko Olina's tranquility. Staying in our condo provides a relaxing, convenient, and cost-effective way for vacationers, corporate guests, and military members to truly enjoy their time in Hawaii.

Hawaii law mandates we charge the General Excise Tax (4.712% gross) on any rental, and the Transient Accommodations Tax (9.251% gross) on any rentals less than 6 months. Property is available at discounted rate of $4800 per month for a 3 month rental and $4500 per month for a 6 month (or longer) rental; please enquire about additional long-term, corporate, and/or military/government rental discounts. For rentals of less than 30 days, the full monthly rate will normally be charged, as property can only be rented once per 30 days, as per Home Association rules; however, please enquire, as sometimes, a pro-rated rate is available. Cleaning fee ($250) covers cleaning at conclusion of stay; please enquire regarding bi-monthly or weekly cleaning options. An electrical allowance of up to $250 is included; if the bill is higher (as it can range between $200-$500+), the amount will be charged to the renter. A $750 security deposit is due prior to the rental, but is fully refundable, net any additional fees (such as electricity overage, property damage, etc.).
