great place, great hosts

  • 5 of 5

We had to arrive very late - 23:00 - and that was not a problem, the hosts waited for us, greeted us, showed us around. The place is great, everything is new and clean. Keep in mind it's basically one big space - so it will sleep 4 people, but 2 will be on a large double bed, and two will be on the sofa and a separate single bed that breaks away from the sofa. So two couples will be a bit awkward. The apartment is also in a gated community, so super quiet and secure.

Anyway - great place, highly recommended.

We really enjoyed the chance to stay in your Bauhaus inspired designer apartment in Berlin Mitte.

  • 5 of 5

Hallo Andreas + Richard

Your apartment is perfectly set to explore the culture of Berlin - the old Jewish quarter, the KW gallery, the Swartz Pumpe bar for a drink before dinner. A nice walk to museum island (to visit 4 museums in 1 day!). The Reichstag roof, the Brandenburg gate and the holocaust memorial were good photos. Kaffe + kuchen in the Akad de Kunste, by the gate. The GDR museum was very interesting...we even saw a Trabant car drive past soon after! The nearby restaurants Gorki Park for Russian blini and Sauerkraut for traditional German schweineshaxe. We only went west of the old wall once to the top of KaDeWe for kaffe + kuchen, then to the very nice Bauhaus Archiv. And then we found the best curry wurst in Alexandra Platz!

Thank you!

Matthew + Dilys

Excellent location and wonderful flat

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in Berlin at Andreas’ flat. We were met by charming son and given tips about the neighborhood. The location was just perfect. If we are ever to return to Berlin, we would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for everything. Sheila

Great location great stay

  • 5 of 5

We walked nearly everywhere, other than Potsdam, from this location. KDW and the remains of the Wall, Alexander Platz and Reichstag/Holocaust Memorial/Brandenburg Gate were all easy targets. And when you tire, there are two U-Bahn locations within a few blocks. We tried several of the nearby restaurants, including Gorki Park and Sauerkraut, Rose and Yamches, and also Franz's, which is a bit further away. All were good. The latter, which is at the point where Chorinerstrasse "converts" has a quite large Rewe grocery store within the same complex. We also loved the apartment's complex itself, which seems a nearly ideal spot to live for adults and kids. Only thing lacking, for me, was an English language sports channel, but with the time difference to North America there wouldn't be anything live to watch anyway.

Fantastic apartment in Berlin!

  • 5 of 5

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! It's located in such a cool part of Berlin in a nice gated community. Everyone was so friendly, especially the owner of the apartment. The apartment was so nice, the kitchen was well equipped and we loved being able to sit out on the terrace. There are a ton of cool places nearby, we walked through the park to get to the grocery store just a few minutes away, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. It's also very easy to get to public transport to get to other parts of the city. We absolutely loved our stay here and if we ever go back to Berlin, we'll definitely stay again!
