About Taylor Wilson

Hey guys! My name is Taylor and I love puppies and volleyball (as you can tell from my picture.)

I started renting properties over a year ago and I love the freedom it allows me! I graduated with an interior design degree from FSU and am able to use those skills to stage my rentals. I also left with a minor in marketing, so I love always finding new ways to promote my rentals! I really like to research the area's pricing and add as much value as I can to my listings.

I was born and raised here in Florida (born in Clearwater, currently live in West Palm Beach).

Why Taylor Wilson chose Palm Beach County

I love this cottage! It definitely has a vintage beach cottage feel - so don't expect the Four Seasons here... But it has a full kitchen and bath, dining area, comfy couch and chairs, and all at a cost much less than any hotel in the area! Which, by the way, will only offer you a tiny room with USUALLY one bed and older bedding.

What makes this cottage unique

The main benefits are space and location. We are less than 100m to the ocean, which is why we all come to Palm Beach, right?! It is also walking to Worth Ave, Buccan and Imoto restaurants (top 100 in the US) and more!

Cute bungalow in a quiet area

  • 5 of 5

I much preferred this little cottage to a stuffy hotel, and the beach was only a 2 minute walk! Beach towels, umbrellas and a tote made it easy. The bed was comfortable, the cottage was clean and the neighbors were friendly. I enjoyed my coffee on the deck surrounded by palm fronds. The owner was amazingly responsive to questions--thank you Taylor!

Property Manager was HORRIBLE

  • 1 of 5

Prior to our arrival at this cottage I was not given any information or details on the rental. I would have expected an email or something at some point, but I received nothing. It was 10pm the night before our rental began, when I reached out the property manager and she text me minimal details that we would need. We arrived at the home around 11:30am on the date of our rental to find the place a mess. Clearly it had not been cleaned. I reached out to the property manager and she told me that check in was not until 3pm. I was never told when the check in time was, but since it was technically our error so my husband, myself, and our 3 month old son just sat on the patio and hung out while the place was being cleaned. The property manger then showed up and told the cleaning people to take their time, that we weren't supposed to be there. She then also did not say one word to us. I thought this was a bit rude as it was a true misunderstanding that we were there early, but instead of being kind, and accommodating the property manager was rude. After we got settled we went to the beach. When we got home we were not able to get back into the house. The lock was jammed. I contacted the property manger and she had no solution for us. Her only advice was to keep trying, which clearly wasn't working. I suggested a locksmith, but she was very rude. A neighbor then called the actual owner to see if he could help since we were locked out with a little baby, and I heard him curse her out about us over the phone. I was appalled. It was not our fault the door would not open. My husband then was able to jimmy open a window and climb through to get into the house. It was great we were now in the house, however then the window jammed and we could not shut it. Once again I contacted to property manager and she had no solution. I explained to her that I was getting very upset, not because issues were occurring, but because of the way she was treating us. She kept blaming the problems on us and offered us no help. Had we not had our son with us, we would have left the property. The next day, after the window being left open all day/night the property manager showed up at 8:30am with a handy man to fix it. Once again she did not speak to us or offer us any type of apology for the inconvenience. Also the bedspread had huge yellow spots on it and the beach towels we were left were wet. I would not recommend this place.

Beautiful cottage, great location, needs updates

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay so much at this little cottage. Short walk to the beach, places to eat and shopping was great. Outside private sitting area and laundry access was wonderful. However, it seriously needs some updating, some things were almost unusable (oven, etc)! Bathroom is very outdated with no outlet. It was also not very clean. Stains on the sheets and comforter. Easy fixes. But, overall we loved it and would stay again if updates were made.

Functional and nice but needs a hundred repairs.

  • 3 of 5

The cottage is very old but worked fine and is functional. We used the kitchen and cooking utensils daily. It needs many repairs. None of the windows function. All new windows are needed. None of the window blinds work. All of the kitchen cabinets need new latches. The tub faucet drips continuously. The screen door latch doesn't work. There is no electrical outlet in the bathroom. BUT I am a do it your selfer and would have fixed all these things in a week. But over all we loved the location and the time we spent at cozy cottage.

Needs some work.

  • 3 of 5

Location, location! Walk to beautiful Palm Beach, some great restaurants and shopping. The cottage itself needs some repairs. While we were there we had a bad rain storm one day and the ceiling in the bedroom started to leak, there was also a crack in the ceiling in the living room (not water that day though) that needs fixed. The description of the cottage states it has a washer and dryer, I didn't find out until the day before we arrived that the washer was coin operated (4 quarters for a wash) but the dyer is free and that's it also located outside behind the cottage. I probably would not have rented it I had known that.
