Spacious Multi-Level Home One Block From Downtown!

This chic and sophisticated multi-level property is conveniently located on one of downtown Mill Valley's most charming and coveted streets. A sleek yet cozy home, this 2014 custom-built residence boasts an expansive, private outdoor space (back and side lawns, a hot tub, a BBQ, and several decks on a 6,500 square foot lot) perfect for entertaining, all in a quaint neighborhood just around the corner from the heart of downtown's shops, the Depot Bookstore, restaurants, cafes, theaters and the award-winning library.

This 2,500 square foot Modern Craftsman-style home is spacious and comfortable. The sun-drenched open-style floor plan features four bedrooms, four baths, a separate studio, indoor/outdoor accessibility from almost every room, high ceilings, wide-plank hardwood floors, a chef's kitchen, multiple dining areas (a dining table, counter seating, and island seating), and a three-sided Art Nouveau fireplace.

The spacious kitchen offers a rare Kinawa Satin granite countertop and zinc counter accent, plus an imported Italian gas range, wine refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and stainless steel appliances. The adjoining deck has a bird's eye view of the yard below, rolling hillsides, and the quaint details of the picturesque hamlet of downtown Mill Valley, located 10 minutes north of San Francisco's iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

The four bedrooms are located downstairs. The master bedroom features a four-poster bed, en suite bathroom with a luxurious rain shower and deep soaking tub, walk-in closets, and a private deck. There is an additional full bath and three guest bedrooms, each opening out to a deck and lawn, offering a perfect flow for entertaining and family activities.

The stacked washer/dryer is also located on the lower level. Sleeping Occupancy: 8 guests maximum.

The third bath is a half-bath for guests and is located conveniently off the living room upstairs. The fourth bath, a half-bath, is located in the studio (see details below).

There is one TV, in the living room. A $20 AppleTV credit is reserved for the duration of each guest stay (log in with your AppleTV account, let us know, and we'll credit your VRBO payment $20). No stereo system, no gate clicker.

The main outdoor space is highlighted by a patio with couches and dining table for six under bistro lights and a giant Redwood tree, a hot tub hugged by bamboo, and a custom water feature ideal for relaxing and entertaining. The studio includes a bathroom (toilet, sink, mini fridge) and is a sweet spot to unwind with a good book and a glass of wine.

Despite being located in downtown Mill Valley, the home feels very private. In the front, there is a custom-made automated steel passenger gate that opens onto a private courtyard with room for two cars, spacious storage lockers perfect for bikes, outdoor equipment, or children's necessities.

Walk Score of 90 out of 100. This location is a Walker’s Paradise so daily errands do not require a car.

Fantastic retreat!

Decided to go to the Bay Area for a vacation with extended family and this home was perfect! We wanted the North Bay location so that we had easy access to the city, wine country, Muir Woods, etc. I visited Mill Valley once before and wanted to stay here as the town itself is super quaint and cute. Adrienne was great in answering my questions prior to booking and very professional.

Now that my trip is over, I wish I could go back. I have to admit this home is spectacular! Not only for the decor, design, flow of the home....but I didn't realize how great the location is. Easy short walk to the charming downtown area where we found easy access to restaurants, shops, coffee, etc. This home was also very clean and had nice touches for guests upon arrival (ie robes, slippers, fresh flowers).

Will definitely want to stay here again!

Wow and double wow

We spent four amazing days here around the time of my daughter's wedding at Old Mill Park , and it was the perfect place to gather and chill out, eat, work (we arranged the wedding flowers on the huge kitchen island), rest, and repair. Beautiful and bright and open and classy and private and immaculate, and SO CLOSE to everything in town. It offered the best of "home," personal without you feeling you were somehow invading someone's residence, which can sometimes be the case. The artwork---chandeliers, photos -- was lovely.The hospitality gestures (staples in the larder; extra toothbrushes, shampoo, etc., in the bathrooms, plenty of paper goods, robes in the bedrooms, condiments in the fridge, board games in the living room) were particularly welcome, whether we used them or not, and made us feel like guests in the best sense. The design of the house and grounds is brilliant (though early risers are cautioned that making coffee may awaken those in the master suite downstairs!), and a stepstool would be great to reach a few of the high kitchen shelves. And yes, that afternoon sun can heat the upstairs up on a rare hot summer day (some blinds on those magnificent sliding glass doors might be a practical, if unaesthetic, fix), but the casement windows catch the breezes. Concierge Adrienne was extremely responsive and helpful and was flexible whenever possible. The whole vibe here was just terrific, and though I wouldn't trade a second of that beautiful wedding and the events surrounding it, I wish we'd had more time to savor the house and garden and hot tub and even the little zen guesthouse. Hoping for a next time. A truly perfect place.
