This chic and sophisticated multi-level property is conveniently located on one of downtown Mill Valley's most charming and coveted streets. A sleek yet cozy home, this 2014 custom-built residence boasts an expansive, private outdoor space (back and side lawns, a hot tub, a BBQ, and several decks on a 6,500 square foot lot) perfect for entertaining, all in a quaint neighborhood just around the corner from the heart of downtown's shops, the Depot Bookstore, restaurants, cafes, theaters and the award-winning library.
This 2,500 square foot Craftsman-style home is modern but comfortable. The sun-drenched open-style floor plan features four bedrooms, four baths, a separate studio, indoor/outdoor accessibility from almost every room, high ceilings, wide-plank hardwood floors, a chef's kitchen, multiple dining areas (a dining table, counter seating, and island seating), and a three-sided Art Nouveau fireplace.
The spacious kitchen offers a rare Kinawa Satin granite countertop and zinc counter accent, plus an imported Italian gas range, wine refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and stainless steel appliances. The adjoining deck has a bird's eye view of the yard below, rolling hillsides, and the quaint details of the picturesque hamlet of downtown Mill Valley, located 20 minutes north of San Francisco's iconic Golden Gate Bridge.
The four bedrooms are located downstairs. The master bedroom features a four-poster bed, en suite bathroom with a luxurious rain shower and deep soaking tub, walk-in closets, and a private deck. There is an additional full bath and three guest bedrooms, each opening out to a deck and lawn, offering a perfect flow for entertaining and family activities. The stacked washer/dryer is also located on the lower level.
There are two TVs: in the living room and master bedroom. A $20 AppleTV credit is reserved for the duration of each guest stay. No stereo system, no gate clicker.
The main outdoor space is highlighted by a giant Redwood tree, a hot tub hugged by bamboo, and a custom water feature ideal for relaxing and entertaining. The studio includes a bathroom and is a sweet spot to unwind with a good book and a glass of wine.
Despite being located in downtown Mill Valley, the home feels very private. In the front, there is a custom-made automated steel passenger gate that opens onto a private courtyard with room for two cars, spacious storage lockers perfect for bikes, outdoor equipment, or children's necessities.
This spacious and inviting home welcomes locals, travelers, families, and dog owners (with an additional pet deposit) and is available for a minimum of three nights, with discounts applied to weekly and monthly rentals.
Please be advised that rates are higher during the Mill Valley Film Festival (October), Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve.

We loved the house. Very open and spacious, easily accommodated seven people, and in a great location accessible to the stores and restaurants of Mill Valley.
THe house had almost everything we needed for our group of 8 people staying in the house. We used every bed & all the linens & towels and every kitchen item available. Just missing a ladle, garbage bags, swiffer pads & broom. We wanted to leave the place as clean as we found it. It was perfect for the few more guests that joined us for an "after-party" following my son's wedding at the Outdoor Art Club, which is in easy walking distance. Our group & our other guests ALL mentioned that the place needs some window coverings as all the bed rooms face a common area outside & some prefer some privacy. The window in the dining room area streams in sunshine late afternoon that bakes & causes anyone facing west to need sunglasses! THe light is nice at other times of day, but needs a shade for the afternoon hours. The place was as advertised. We enjoyed our stay & would recommend it to others who like modern architecture & fancy fixtures.
We were in Mill Valley for our son's wedding at Outdoor Art Club. The house was great and location perfect. Adrienne was very responsive to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this house.
We did not want to leave! We stayed here with our two daughters for a week. It was a trip to celebrate our youngest daughter's birthday and we created beautiful memories. The house was immaculate and well appointed. We had friends over for dinner several nights as the kitchen was so well set up. The outside yard is spacious and inviting and remarkably flat for a home in hilly Mill Valley. The girls loved the hot tub and doing cartwheels on the lawn. It is situated one block from downtown Mill Valley, with one of the best restaurants in town just down the street. We spent hours exploring the creek at Old Mill Park. The beds are so comfortable and the bathrooms are even more beautiful than the pictures show online. We will absolutely plan to stay here again!
I am a local and as my house is small, I rented this house for my son, daughter-in-law and their 4 year old son who were visiting from the east coast. First time trip for all three to the Bay Area. The house couldn't have been better!! We loved every aspect of it. Adrienne was superb to work with and even allowed me to look at the house before renting. I didn't need to step far into the house to realize it was perfect! The house is beautifully maintained. It has a minimalistic style of decorating that allows it to be open yet cozy at the same time. The kitchen is fabulous for entertaining or a quite meal cooked at home. The location can't be beat. My son didn't have a car so the proximity of the house to every thing Mill Valley was ideal. The bedrooms are cozy with enough room to spread out. The outside grounds are beautiful, pristinely maintained. The hot tub was a huge hit with my grandson. I can't think of a nicer place for visitors to the area to stay. Or for that matter any one who needs a mini vacation from home. We loved it and Adrienne was especially helpful!!
On Sunday February 28, I attended an Oscars-viewing party at this
location. Mill Valley is a big "movie town", host of the
internationally acclaimed MVFF for the past nearly 40 years and I was
excited to celebrate the Oscars with friends in this home. Private yet
centrally located to downtown, this massive home was immaculate,
tastefully decorated, comfortable for a group, and invited plenty of
space during the day and evening for socializing, preparing and
enjoying food, and relaxing by the fireplace. I highly recommend this
stunning home for any size gathering and hope to return to this
amazing property for an extended stay some time soon!
This stunning home is located just a few minutes from the majestic Redwoods of Muir Woods while also being about 5 minutes from the 101 Freeway, about 30 minutes' drive to Stinson Beach, about 45 minutes from rural West Marin (a foodie haven), Sonoma County (wine tasting), and Berkeley (cultural events).
