Cowboy Lodge is a spacious studio, this cabin will take you back to the days of rustlers and bad guys in black hats. It has a very important kingsize bed, stacked stone electric fireplace, satellite TV with DVD. There’s a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and separate bathroom. Cook up some grub on the charcoal grill and then relax in the hot tub. Have your coffee outside on the soft, made for comfort chairs. Cuddle up on the comfy sofa and forget to go back to work. Yep, Pardner, we love this for you. Bring the pup, too. It’s pet friendly and we have “Dog Heaven” here. We have just recently added this cabin to VRBO but have been booking it for some time. This cabin is identical to our Bear and Deer cabins that have reviews on this site. We also have Viewpoint if there is a need for a larger cabin.
I am a huge outdoor enthusiast. I love to hike, ride mt. bikes and motorcycles all through the national forest. I found Tellico Plains riding motorcycles in the area and fell in love with it. I want to share this outdoor playground.
Doug Morris purchased this cabin in 2013
Absolutely amazing place to stay. My wife and I wish we could live there. We spent our honey moon there and it was perfect. Clean cabin, well taken care of. All amenities provided. Only place we will stay at in Tennessee. Highly recommend to anyone and the owner is a phenomenal guy. Will be back for many years to come.
The Tellico Plains area was a beautiful town to escape for the weekend and the Cowboy Cabin felt like home away from home. The cabin was in excellent condition and was everything and more then we expected. We both highly recommend it to anyone!
We were so happy to see that the cabin looked exactly like the pictures on the website, you never know if the owner put actual pictures or not but it is absolutely beautiful and that bed is so comfortable! This cabin was very clean and we had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. It was a little difficult to find the road to the cabin the first time but it was a breeze after that. The area is really beautiful and there is even a walnut tree next to the cabin, it's really peaceful place. One tip, take bottled water for coffee and to drink. There is a Save-A-Lot for groceries, a CVS and a Dollar General close. A great little diner in downtown Tellico Plains was great for breakfast and lunch. We would recommend this cabin and the other 3 cabins offered by this owner, they are all close to each other but far enough away for privacy. We are already planning on coming back here next year!
This was our first time in Tennessee and Cowboy Cabin was the crown jewel of our trip! Even better than the pictures on-line! Spic and Span clean and everything needed to make our stay a pleasure. Wonderful people, perfect weather and drop-dead gorgeous leaf colors on the mountains! Will do again and again, always at our Cowboy Cabin.
Excellent view and well maintained facility.
The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. The furnishings were nice and adequate. All appliances worked well and were modern. The wifi did not work and cell phones did not have service, I had Sprint no service except roam and would not connect with the Internet. However the land line was available and worked well. The hot tub worked well but the controls were a little sticky and confusing. The location is convient to Tellico Plains and the ride over the road there is a real thrill due to the hills. The grounds were well kept and there was plenty of room to exercise my Labrador retriever. All restaurants in Tellico Plains were excellent but some were closed on Sunday. The owner was available by land line and helpful. I would have rated it as a five except for the inoperative wifi. The wifi was one of the reasons I chose this location. The booking procedure was seamless and flawless, in my experience the booking was the easiest I have encountered. Parking was adequate but somewhat challenging getting turned around. Boat trailers can not be parked near Cowboy Cabin but is possible on th other three. I would recommend the cabin for two adults and one child max due to lack of privacy. One adult couple is perfect. If you are arriving from I 40 avoid route 360 it is narrow and very time consuming use I 75 south to 68.
Cowboy Cabin is perfect for a semi-secluded getaway with reasonable nightly rates, great amenities, CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED, and the owner is wonderful! Pictures just don't do justice for the cabin and surroundings. We spent our 20th Wedding Anniversary here, and couldn't have been happier! We've already planned our Fall leaf-viewing getaway and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in the area. And THAT MATTRESS, JUST WOW! Just can't say how much we appreciate the hospitality! Doug even made arrangements for me (disabled) to visit the cabin in person, meet with Sonja (property manager?), and check the accessibility and bed in person before booking. He's certainly a stand up guy! Thanks so much, we'll be back soon!
