Convenient location for our family— charming features

  • 4 of 5

The heated floors in the bathrooms were delightful on cold winter mornings. The hot water seemed limitless in the rain head shower and i appreciated the Zingerman’s coffee cake upon arrival as well as some milk and eggs in the refrigerator for hungry kids following travel.

The beds varied in firmness yet worked for our family. One adult loves a firmer posturepedic foam mattress which was a nice perk, one a softer mattress and the same in the third bedroom that worked for the kids.

There were many windows to provide gorgeous natural light and updated lighting fixtures throughout the house. The kitchen was beautiful, well organized, and stocked with anything and everything we needed for making tasty, healthy meals at home.

The only surprise was a webcam facing the entrance door and one inside his closed office that seemed to be able to view the living room through a glass door. I simply put a sheet over the glass door to make sure my morning dancing in pjs with the kids was not on camera. ;-). I asked Tim about this and he said it aims at the door to the office and his computer which is an off limits area to renters and not at the living room.

Tim was helpful, on top of any questions we had and even had neighbors lined up if we needed anything.

Our kids enjoyed playing with Alexa and asking her to play favorite songs or tell us weather updates before heading out each day.

Owner's Response: Hi Rachael, thanks so much for your feedback. As we discussed, aside from your concern with the web camera, you would have given me a perfect 5 star review. As you pointed out, the camera is in a private space that is not included in the rental. The door to my office is labeled off limits and my welcome letter explains there is a camera in my office. Though the camera can not view the living room, I have taken your concern seriously and hung shades to prevent any future misunderstandings. Good luck to you and your family as you prepare to relocate to Ann Arbor!

Perfect for our reunion!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect house for our reunion in Ann Arbor. There were 6 of us staying at the house and it was perfect for our sized group. Technically, it could probably sleep 8, but one of the beds seemed smaller than the others and so only 1 stayed in that room. The house was very clean and well-maintained. Tim, the owner, was very responsive in our communications and left us a nice note with tips about getting around as well as snacks and even champagne for mimosas! The location of the house was also ideal. We walked everywhere -- even to central campus and, of course, the Big House. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a cozy, well-maintained, and clean "home base" for your trip to Ann Arbor!

Accommodating Host in Perfect Ann Arbor Location

  • 5 of 5

I rented this house to stay with a group of friends who were returning to campus for a football game, and Tim could not have been a better host. The house was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with essentials (eggs, milk, etc) and some local goodies that truly made you feel welcome. The location was perfect, not very noisy or crowded but we were easily able to walk to campus to visit favorite restaurants and bars. All in all, it played a big part in making our weekend as good as it could be and I would highly recommend this house and Tim as a host.

Excellent stay on the old west side

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with several college friends for our 10-year reunion. We had a wonderful time. The house is updated and clean, and full of all the amenities you would need. The owner, Tim, stocked the fridge with some basics and even left us Zingerman's treats and mimosa supplies. He left detailed instructions so that we knew how to use the TV, speakers, and more without any trouble. The house is in a very cute, quiet neighborhood conveniently located to downtown. Would highly recommend!

Outstanding accommodations

  • 5 of 5

Outstanding, that’s how I would describe our stay.

We had a wonderful stay here with 8 people for our daughter’s wedding in Ann Arbor. The owner Tim is very thoughtful, he is very flexible and personally welcomed us, left personalized instructions on the home and getting around town and provided us with starter staples like fresh coffee cake, eggs, coffee and OJ & Champagne to celebrate our special occasion! This is an adorable home with a beautiful remodeled kitchen and bathrooms (we loved the rain shower option). The home is very clean, the beds were comfortable and the yard and outdoor table were great for hanging out in. The home has plenty of private parking and is in a quiet and charming family neighborhood; for us a 10-15 min walk to Main Street and downtown Ann Arbor. Tim tries to think of everything to make your stay wonderful- he even had a stocked 2nd floor hall closet with extra toiletries supplies in case we forgot something. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable and we all relaxed at night watching movies in the comfy living room. Thank you Tim; our stay in your home was icing on the cake of our visit in Ann arbor!
