About Stan and Marcia Morley

Stan grew up in Wisconsin and has called this area his home since attending UW in Madison in the early 70's. Marcia moved here from nearby Illinois in 2002, but loves living in the picturesque rolling hills of the Vermont Township area of Wisconsin. They love calling the area "home".

Stan and Marcia Morley purchased this lodge in 2006

Why Stan and Marcia Morley chose Wisconsin

We've been together in this log home since 2006, even hosting our wedding reception here! We've enjoyed cultivating the gardens and grooming the surrounding acreage to enhance the natural beauty. This home and property change and become more beautiful as the seasons change. Now it's time to share our home with others!

What makes this lodge unique

This home is situated near county roads that lead to all kinds of adventures, and yet the views from every window make you feel you're tucked away in the countryside. We love those beautiful views and the peaceful spots to relax and enjoy the natural surrounding beauty.... from the front porch rockers, the tables and chairs on the deck, the cozy spot to read a book on the screened porch, or the table near the sport court... perfect for watching kids or grandkids play.

Beautiful retreat away from the city.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our long weekend stay at this beautiful and comfortable home out in the country but convienently located near Mt Horeb. The log and wood interior is nicely furnished with plenty of room to relax. We enjoyed the rolling scenic views from the back porch and saw a lot of wildlife. We definitely recommend this one if you are looking to get away!

Absolutely Amazing

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It was larger enough for everyone to get away from each other and cozy enough to be together. It really had everything you needed and more. We loved the lower level family room with the pool table and jukebox. Along with the kitchen island, we did a lot of talking around the island (huge).

The property was beautiful, and sitting in the hot tub in the morning created a wonderful start to our day.

Our family had such a great experience, we are talking about going back next year to make more family memories.

Fabulous Property

  • 5 of 5

Our family visited Madison to spend a nice weekend with our daughter, who is a college student at the University of Wisconsin. We had some of her college friends over for dinner and we all cooked together in the huge kitchen. We had a bonfire outside and we all had a fun and relaxing time. The location was great and not too far away from campus...yet the property is private, quiet and secluded for a nice get away. The home and the property were immaculate and very comfortable.

This home was immaculate and beautiful. Our vacation was enhanced by staying at this home. It was homey and comfortable and had all the necessary staples. The views surrounding the home are spectacular and very private. The location is well situated close to numerous local towns and attractions. I would definitely stay in this home again if I am ever back in the area. Thank you for sharing your home with others!
