About Peggy and Don

We are an active retired couple who fell in love Montana and want to share this beautiful area with others. We grew up in California and Washington state. Too many people, too much construction and increasing traffic found us searching for a more peaceful lifestyle. We are so grateful to have found our slice of Heaven here in Bigfork and we really enjoy sharing it with others!

Peggy and Don purchased this cabin in 2002

Why Peggy and Don chose Bigfork

We bought this land for the beautiful mountain views and the serenity it brought to us. Having seven acres to ourselves and lots of space for our dogs to play is a dream come true. The first time we visited Bigfork in 2000, we couldn't wait to come back. We fell in love with its beauty and the friendly people.

What makes this cabin unique

You can spend the day inside the cabin relaxing or outside on the deck staring at the beautiful mountains and the amazing cloud formations that fill our big Montana sky. Glacier National Park is only 45 minutes away. Star gazing here is fabulous! We love being so close to the rivers and Flathead lake.

Wonderful Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Don & Peggy's cozy little cabin. The cabin is exactly as pictured, with wonderful views, and is very clean. Don & Peggy are friendly and gracious hosts who took the time to provide information about things to do and places to eat. We enjoyed our discussions with them and getting to meet their chickens and dogs. Location is very quiet as it is outside of Bigfork yet a quick drive (or a beautiful long walk) away. We didn't really take advantage of the kitchenette but it has all the basics to cook an easy meal. Overall a great stay, would definitely be back!

Owner's Response: Lesly and Bob were the perfect guests! We would have loved to hang out with them more if they were here longer. It was so much fun chatting and getting to know a bit about them. They left the cabin super neat and clean. We would love to have them back again! Great people!

Ideal rental

This was the perfect little spot for us. So sad the wildfire smoke ruined our view, but it just means we'll have to come back. Peggy and Don couldn't be nicer!

Cabin under the stars

  • 5 of 5

Photos do not do this cabin justice. It was warm and inviting, as were Peggy and Don the owners. This cabin is well located "country". If you like deer wandering through your yard and more stars in the sky than you knew existed, stay with Peggy, Don and their two adorable dogs. This small cabin brought my wife and I closer, allowing us to appreciate the peace of rural Montana.

Owner's Response: Mike and Trish were wonderful guests! We enjoyed talking with them and we were excited to watch the eclipse together from our backyard. They love dogs and even brought our fur babies healthy treats. They left the cabin immaculate....you would never know anyone was there! We hope they come back to Montana and we wish them all the best. Just a great couple!

Fabulous cabin and hosts!

  • 5 of 5

Fabulous cabin with an abundance of bird and deer to watch from the small porch or huge windows. Perfect home base for our explorations and amazingly gracious and helpful hosts (they may or may not have bribed us with beer and cookies). They not only made us feel welcome, but the cabin has all the information you need to get around, plan your adventures, pack a cooler for the day and a full supply of recommended eating stops. Top notch experience. Thanks again Peggy and Don and we hope to be back!

Owner's Response: Barbara was a wonderful guest and left the cabin all neat and tidy. We would love to have her visit us again. Hopefully she has more time next trip to share another beer with us on the deck. A great lady!
