Our condo is offered fully furnished and ready to enjoy. A separate shower and sink allows for 2 people to get ready for the day at the same time. The kitchenette has a space for everything you need. A full size refrigerator was recently added for those who like to cook and keep things fresh. The dining table is just right for a meal, a quick snack, or even working on computer. Two queen size beds allow for up to 4 people to sleep comfortably. Wall to Wall sliding glass doors let the sunshine and happiness in (ocean view from anywhere in the room). Head out to the spacious terrace to enjoy morning coffee and take in the sights and sounds of the beach and Caribbean ocean. The room also has a beautiful view over the pool and garden areas right next to the beach.

Solymar is part hotel and part private condominiums. Enjoy the best of both worlds with great onsite amenities like a beautiful pool with swim up bar, a kids pool, 2 restaurants to choose from, a shop, lighted tennis courts and 24 hour security. There is an all inclusive option available to all of our guests, which you can get for any single day during your stay, multiple days, or even for you whole stay, which includes all meals and beverages of your choice. Otherwise, you can always enjoy these resort style amenities only when/if you desire and pay as you go. So convenient! Free Wi-Fi/Internet, free parking, and absolutely no resort fees.

This 270 unit 'Beach Front Resort is located in Cancun's famous "Zona Hotelera" (Hotel Zone) about midway between Club Med and the Hilton Hotel. If you are seeking a peaceful vacation, yet want to be near all the attractions, restaurants and night time entertainment Cancun offers, then this is the place for you!

The beach in front of the resort offers white soft sand and clear turquoise waters. Traveler reviews consistently rate this as one of the nicest beaches in all of Cancun.

Our unit is conveniently located on the second floor of the Resort, with an elevator nearby. As you can see from our pictures, this unit has an incredible view of the pool, gardens, beach and ocean.

Just recently (Spring 2016) the studio was completely updated/remodeled. We had a new custom made Kitchenette, dinning room set, Marble top bathroom vanity, full size refrigerator, microwave, beds, curtains & armoire installed. It is with out a doubt one of the nicest Studios in the Resort.

Although this is our privately owned studio/condo, we enjoy its "resort type" facilities. The complex has 24-hour security including a gated entry, staffed laundromat, a mini market, on-site restaurants (2), lobby, pool & beach bar.

We hope you will come and enjoy our little piece of paradise during a fun and active vacation, or just to get away from it all and relax.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY: If for any reason you cancel your reservation and we are able to re-book the unit to someone else for your dates at the same or higher rate, we would gladly give you a full refund. If we are not able to re-book you can still receive full credit but only for a future stay.

If weather conditions make it impossible for you to arrive according to your reservation dates, we will gladly offer you a full credit for a future stay.

About Rodrigo Sagastegui

In 2015 we finally did something we've been planning out for years... to have our very own vacation property. Every time we used VRBO to rent one for us during the last several years we kept thinking, "that would be a great way to go about a beach front property in the Caribbean". So we finally did it! And we were extremely lucky to find a property like this, in great condition, and in a beautiful and extremely convenient location/setup!

My wife and I were both born and raised in Mexico (Guadalajara). About 20 years ago, my career forced us to relocate to north central Florida (Gainesville) were we lived for 10 years. Then another career move forced us to move a little bit further north, the Pocono Mountains (East Stroudsburg, PA). So after 20 years living as ex-pats we take every chance we get to take our two your kids, (7 and 9) to our beloved home country...

What makes this studio unique

There's so much to see and do around Cancun, that location plays a HUGE role on how much you get out of your visit as a tourist. So staying at the main tourist zone ("Zona Hotelera") gives you a logistical advantage in order to move around with ease. If you rent a car, fantastic. But if you don't, the public transportation system runs 24/7 and the closest stop is right outside this resort.

La ubicación es excelente, es a minutos de la zona hotelera y cerca de un OXXO (7Eleven) que tiene de todo (el hotel tiene un almacen/tienda que al menos para alguien de Argentina es barato). La playa es tal cual las fotos, con unas reposeras muy cómodas que alguien se encarga de acomodar a pedido bajo las sombrillas del condominio.

A la zona hotelerea se puede llevar en cualquiera de los buses que pasan cada pocos minutos. Alli está el mall "La Isla" que tiene todas las marcas importantes y un supermercado muy grande.

Toda la zona es muy tranquila y la gente de seguridad del condominio es de gran ayuda para cualquier consulta.

Rodrigo es muy atento y nos dió toda la información necesaria para manejarnos en Cancún con confianza. A cualquiera que piense en ir estoy seguro que lo va a drisfrutar, es una forma increíble y muy segura de vivir la playa.

Beautiful and Clean! And 5 STARS for Rodrigo, the owner!

First off, I must say that the owner Rodrigo is THE best! He was always a phone call or text away, and answered EVERY time, within minutes! I was very impressed. And his condo is absolutely beautiful. It's facing the beautiful pool and breathtaking beach. Literally just steps away from both. It's clean and well-kept. The condo is also conveniently located. Walking distance to the grocery store and buses also pass right in front, if you wanted to venture out further. There's also a few restaurants and bars on the property! This was my first time in Cancun and I could not have picked a better place to stay. And it definitely won't be my last.

Clean, affordable, centrally located, with an owner that's kind and attentive. Who could ask for anything more!

Thx for making my vacation a most pleasurable, relaxing, affordable and hassle-free one! Kudos!!

Best part was the owners personal care. He went out of his way!

But that being said, the Solymar was pretty run down. The Solymar beach resort has two sides...the hotel side and personally owned condos. There was construction going on in the complex the entire time, which was annoying. The hotel employees do not speak English and are not that friendly. The condo I stayed in had the wifi working 50% of the time. Carry water jugs every other day to the room was exhausting. This hotel is not really for retired older people with mobility problems. The elevator was in repair so caring your own groceries and water supply was exhausting. I, personally, would pay extra for an all inclusive where water is supplied to you. Water is such a necessary item, and I would have enjoyed the place much more if filtered water was supplied to the condo. You always get what you pay for, so upgrade to a better place where they supply you your own filtered water, working elevators, working wifi..not 50% working wifi. That being said, I realize that the owner had no control on the elevators. He and his family do not live there, so there was nothing that could be done about it.

I would like to address that: 1)Unfortunately, your stay coincided with a couple of renovation projects that are scheduled to be completed this month. This is not an ongoing situation; none of my previous guests have ever experienced that before. I truly apologize if such renovation projects were disturbing enough for you to notice them. I will share your feedback with our administration office. 2)The resort employees are actually VERY friendly. Not only in my opinion, but as many of my previous guests have shared in their feedback. I am guessing you had terrible luck, and ran into the uncommon (but always existing) "unhappy employee(s)", my apologies! 3)The resort's WiFi is extremely slow and unreliable, hence the reason why I pay for my own internet service to share with my guests (and ONLY with my guests). Every time I stay at my condo in Cancun, I need to be online full time for work and I have never had any problems. I do pay for the fastest available internet speed within Cancun, non fiber-optic (not available there yet). 4)The "water jugs". I understand your disappointment, but please keep in mind that this is not a issue with my condo, but with the vast majority of hotels/resorts in MEXICO. Tap water is never ever drinking quality in Mexico, so for a long stay like yours (14 days) restocking your water supply over and over was annoying. Most of my guests stay between 4-7 nights and never go grocery shopping; if they stock the fridge is normally with beer/wine : ) . But again, I understand how being a retired lady traveling by herself made it inconvenient. As a reference, I currently have 3 "returning" & long-term (8+ week stays) guests that are quite happy with my condo "setup". They are young adult couples, that are very familiar with Cancun and know exactly what to expect when they travel during their winter months. 5)I asked the administration, and the only report of the elevator being "down" during the dates of your stay was to perform its annual inspection (1 day for 3 hours). Again, I am guessing very bad luck? In all fairness, my unit is on the second floor; apparently the stairs are only a "problem" if you are carrying groceries repeatedly, since no other guests have ever complained. This is the first time in 3 years (95% occupancy) that I receive feedback from a guest who seems "disappointed" with his/her stay. If you were to accept, it would be my honor to extend a future stay for free! Just contact me..

Beautiful view, very comfortable condo!

Rodrigo was absolutely wonderful to work with - he was extremely responsive and answered all my questions quickly. His condo is in a wonderful location in this property - while the condo project itself is older, the location a little further away from the crazy high priced all-inclusives made for a great relaxing vacation. And this condo's location near the entrance was perfect - no long walks! Waking up to the beautiful view was great. Unfortunately I could only stay two nights - I would have enjoyed a longer stay here. The bed was VERY comfortable, AC worked well, condo was clean and well supplied. Loved that we could get the bus right outside the property and get anywhere for only 12 pesos! I will rent from Rodrigo again next time I am in Cancun!

Quiet Paradise

Off season in Cancun was like having the place to ourselves! Very quiet town and able to see and enjoy everything without sharing it with a crowd! The private beach is clean and comfortable, the small open air restaurant on the beach is perfect for a mid-day lunch or drink. The staff is friendly and even if you do not speak any Spanish, you will be able to communicate just fine with everyone. Rodrigo's unit is clean and very comfortable with many upgrades that will make your stay that much more enjoyable. We loved our long weekend getaway!
