If you're looking for a quiet getaway apartment, look elsewhere. Especially weekend summer nights. Ear plugs are provided
Great space with everything that we needed in the studio! Entry and exit was easy and it was a great location. There was some noise at night as to be expected across from a bar. Great spot!
place was clean and turned out to be fun for us. we debated moving to another spot, as the area (to a stranger) is a little scary. but we are glad we stayed. this area in most cities would be highly questionable. but in portland is was cool, tolerable, quirky and even fun.
2nd floor apartment. across the street from our picture windows is a tatoo parlor, next to that "THE STAG" bar for men. lots of homeless laying around. crack sales on one corner. prostitution on another. but everyone leaves everyone alone. so,,,,,,, we loved the bowery type coffee shop below us. we loved the greek couple next door who owned this dive diner for 43 years and it was a great trip for us.
owner rick - very hospitable. lots of good suggestions. gave us his inside parking space. he was great.
pick and choose from the above.........net net it was great. but we may be a little wacked ourselves.

It has been a great location within walking distance of everything we have wanted to do. The place was clean and in good shape when we arrived. Thankful we found this place!
This property is a few blocks away from the Max Line. Close to bars, restaurants and shopping. One room flat perfect for our short term needs. Owner went out of his way to be available and responded quickly to calls and texts, allowed us to store our luggage in his building since we had a later flight the day of check-out. Great overall experience would definitely rent here again.
Good points: close to Pearl. Owner had good restaurant recommendations. Plenty of room for 2 people on short vacation.
Bad points: owner is poor communicator. Doesn't answer email or texts. Noisy doesn't even describe it. Not just urban noise, rather yelling screaming all night, primarily from bar across the street. Not really dirty, but definitely grubby. Felt better after we mopped the floor and got rid of hair from previous tenants. Would not recommend unless you are stuck for a place to stay.
If you're only looking for a safe place to lay your head at night, this property is great. If you want a "home away from home" where you can stay while enjoying the sights and sounds of Portland, I do not recommend this property.
Host was somewhat sketchy, but I'm not allowed to go into more detail in this review. As the owner walked me through the unit, he pointed out things that weren't clean and/or needed to be repaired. And there was old clothing from a previous tenant just laying on the floor.
Frankly, the unit is smaller than the pictures show, and just has a sad, lonely vibe. As I mentioned above, if you only need a safe place to sleep at night, this property is great. But if you want a high-quality stay, this property is not for you - especially at the asking price.
