About the property

Historic Miner's Cottage for Short and Long Term Stays in Lovely Patagonia

Casitas! Frontera has two separate overnight guest cottages in the heart of historic Patagonia, adjacent to a vintage territorial adobe home in an uncommonly beautiful garden setting.

Alma’s cottage is a historic miners’ cottage with kitchen, sitting room, and two bedrooms- one with a queen bed and one with a twin- intended for up to 3 people to share. The bathroom has a tub with shower, and also includes a washer and dryer for those who pack lightly or intend to stay for a while! The charming kitchen is fully equipped for the evenings when you desire a home cooked meal, including cookware and beautiful pottery dishes. Enjoy the view of our gorgeous gardens from the large windows in the sitting room; wi-fi, television, books, and games are also provided for you to enjoy on your evenings in. Snuggle down in your chosen bed that has been made with luxuriously soft linens. Ample storage is provided for your personal items. The cottage is decorated with art and authentic mexican details which enhance the atmosphere.

The cottage has two entrances, one to a garden/courtyard & the other to Naugle Avenue. There is parking on the street for your convenience.

Our enclosed courtyard is lush with beautiful trees and flowering plants. The back patio is ideal for lingering over an alfresco dinner next to our copper fire pit or clay chiminea. Year-round feeders keep our gardens busy with a rich assortment of local and migratory bird life. Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home and enjoy this tranquil setting.

First Class Luxury!

  • 5 of 5

Everything in this small abode is top notch. The decor, the linens, the washer and dryer, the lighting, the coffeemaker, the furniture. We felt as if we had landed in a five star hotel. And the location is perfect. You can walk to several dining spots, several breakfast places, two grocery stores, the post office, boutiques, the hummingbird sanctuary, and a super friendly neighborhood. Close driving to Sonoita wineries. We were so taken with this airbnb that my husband and I both immediately wished we could move in. This place is the BEST place to stay in Patagonia.

Comfortable and cozy cottage with all the amenities.

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay. The cottage had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The decor was relaxing and charming. The host was responsive, friendly, and helpful. The cottage, although close to other buildings on the property, felt private and secure. Thank you for all the thoughtful attention to details.

Fantastic Cottage in Patagonia

  • 5 of 5

Alma's Cottage was fantastic! We arrived at dark and were having difficulty finding the cottage in the dark. Rachel was quick to answer her phone and guide us in. The Cottage is so cute and inviting, surrounded by lush vines and trees. You can hear the water fountain next door if you leave your window open. Despite being next to the highway it was very quite and private. The appliances and bathroom were all very modern and updated. I highly recommend Almas cottage and wish we could have stayed longer!!
