About the property

Historic Miner's Cottage for Short and Long Term Stays in Lovely Patagonia

Casitas! Frontera has two separate overnight guest cottages in the heart of historic Patagonia, adjacent to a vintage territorial adobe home in an uncommonly beautiful garden setting.

Alma’s cottage is a historic miners’ cottage with kitchen, sitting room, and two bedrooms- one with a queen bed and one with a twin- intended for up to 3 people to share. The bathroom has a tub with shower, and also includes a washer and dryer for those who pack lightly or intend to stay for a while! The charming kitchen is fully equipped for the evenings when you desire a home cooked meal, including cookware and beautiful pottery dishes. Enjoy the view of our gorgeous gardens from the large windows in the sitting room; wi-fi, television, books, and games are also provided for you to enjoy on your evenings in. Snuggle down in your chosen bed that has been made with luxuriously soft linens. Ample storage is provided for your personal items. The cottage is decorated with art and authentic mexican details which enhance the atmosphere.

The cottage has two entrances, one to a garden/courtyard & the other to Naugle Avenue. There is parking on the street for your convenience.

Our enclosed courtyard is lush with beautiful trees and flowering plants. The back patio is ideal for lingering over an alfresco dinner next to our copper fire pit or clay chiminea. Year-round feeders keep our gardens busy with a rich assortment of local and migratory bird life. Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home and enjoy this tranquil setting.

ALMA'S COTTAGE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR NEW BOOKINGS AFTER JULY 15, 2017.

Love this getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved staying in this cabin!

It is quiet and secluded but is still close to everything. The inside is adorable and they have everything you could need, from kitchen utensils to extra blankets and towels. The courtyard is beautiful and we loved running into the cat and dog that live on site. The owners are so nice. Would absolutely stay here again

Cozy, well kept and nicely decorated...

  • 5 of 5

Excellent place to stay and visit southern AZ. We were able to travel to both Tubac (we recommend eating at the Wisdom cafe) and Bisbee (pass on the Mexican restaurant there).

We have stayed in Patagonia several times and there isn't a lot to do there but is a very quiet town in a lovely area (visit the Paton bird sanctuary) and just kick back and relax and invite the local cat to join you for happy hour on the patio.

Be forewarned that the cottage, although very nice, is quite close to the main highway. Even at 30 mph trucks do make a lot of noise so if that's a concern, bring ear plugs. Fortunately most traffic stops or is reduced by 9:30 or 10:00

Charming cottage

  • 5 of 5

This is a very comfortable, colorful, clean, and well-equipped cottage situated in a lush garden with shady trees, birds, butterflies, and a friendly cat and dog for company. It is close to good places to eat and a variety of trails to walk off all those calories. The hosts and staff are friendly and helpful. I felt completely relaxed and invigorated after a few days here, and would highly recommend it.

Sweet, well-equipped cottage in Patagonia

  • 5 of 5

We hated to leave our lovely Patagonia nest! Highly functional and well-equipped, tastefully and artfully decorated inside and outside, comfortable and centrally located --- we could not have asked for more in our first visit to Patagonia! Alma's Cottage had everything we needed and more. Thank you for a wonderful few days!
