About the property

Unique Casita Rental for Short or Long Stays in the Heart of Beautiful Patagonia

Enjoy our special Summer Rates, now through August 31st!

Casitas! Frontera has two separate overnight guest cottages in the heart of historic patagonia, adjacent to a vintage territorial adobe home in an uncommonly beautiful garden setting.

Casita Frontera is a beautiful two story home with a sitting area, kitchen/dining area, and wrought iron spiral staircase leading up to the partially enclosed loft with ample storage. There are two queen- and one twin-sized bed, allowing up to five people to share the home in comfort. Each iron bed frame was made in Mexico, and are cozily made up with luxuriously soft linens. The single bathroom has a very large, walk in Mexican tile shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, and microwave, as well as dishes and cookware. The Casita is decorated with authentic textiles, regional furniture, and folk art. There is a wonderful iron stove for warmth, and quiet, comfortable air conditioning for the occasional hot days. Also provided is wi-fi, satellite television, games, a small library, and laundry facilities.

The Casita has two entrances, one to a garden/courtyard & the other to Mendoza Alley. There is parking in the alley for your convenience.

Our enclosed courtyard is lush with beautiful trees and flowering plants. The back patio is ideal for lingering over an alfresco dinner next to our copper fire pit or clay chiminea. Year-round feeders keep our gardens busy with a rich assortment of local and migratory bird life. Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home and enjoy this tranquil setting.

Charming, well appointed Casita, located in the heart of Patagonia

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I rented this Casita, to use as a home base, for a birding trip to SE Arizona. Patagonia is centrally located for an easy drive to Patagonia Lake, Madera Canyon, the De Anza Trail and within walking distance of Tucson Audubon's Paton Center for Hummingbirds.

The house is beautifully decorated, yet fully functional. The kitchen has everything necessary to cook full meals, even a small dishwasher.

The courtyard is a great place to spend the evening.

We were warmly greeted by our host, who made certain through out the week, that we had everything we needed.

If I am fortunate enough to return to this area, I will rent this house again!

Wonderfull

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our month here very much. Gary,Cathy and Rachel were very helpfull and made our stay even better. The casita was very nice and fit our needs. There are a lot of great hiking and birding opportunities in the Patagonia area The town was great with a lot of friendly people and good places to eat. We would stay here again.

My girlfriend wanted to move in to this cute casita!

  • 5 of 5

Due to a family emergency I did not have the pleasure of being able to see this property but my girlfriend took her adult child to enjoy in my place! They absolutely loved the decor. They mentioned how comfortable the beds were. Thumbs up all the way around from them hopefully I'll get a chance to pay a visit!

Charming retreat in the heart of Patagonia

  • 5 of 5

The property is beautifully tended to, with fountains, seating areas, plants and interesting things to look at. The guest house is as charming as they come. It is thoughtfully and artistically decorated in a Latin American theme. Everything you need to make your stay comfortable has been thought of. We are a family of four, two parents and two teenagers, and we were all comfortable and had space to call our own. We definitely look forward to a return visit.

Paradise in Patagonia

  • 5 of 5

We celebrated my wife's birthday here a few weeks ago and can't say enough good things about the property and the people. Patagonia is a delightfully quirky village a little over an hour south of Tucson. Located in a lovely courtyard, the casita is well appointed and comfortable, and the kitchen has everything guests need to prepare meals or snacks. We appreciated Rachel's friendly efficiency, and we enjoyed chatting with the owners as well. We hope to return next year.
