About Maurizio Cotta
I am a retired university professor (in the field of political science) and I share the ownership of the castle with my two sisters Irene and Gabriella. Our family owns the Castle of Robella since the XIIIth Century and we are proud to preserve the memories of more than 700 years history.

Why Maurizio Cotta chose Robella
The property has been in the hands of our family since the castle was built. Because of this long connection we are strongly attached to this property and we devote a lot of attention to its preservation and restoration.

The castle of Robella is located in the peaceful hilly region of Monferrato. Its position in the centre of Piedmont makes it a good starting point for visits to the cities of Turin and Milan where important museums, historical buildings and many other attractions can be found. The beautiful lake Maggiore with its little islands, or mountain places in the Alps are easily reachable by car. Art lovers may visit the Romanic churches and abbeys which can be found in the surrounding hills. A tour of the many neighbouring castles and medieval towns is recommended.
Robella is also a perfect place for hiking.
