Touches of Sweet Home Alabama, Santa Fe, New Mexico, Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico, & Southern California are evident within it's Spanish & Craftsman architecture. Perfect location off of Altadena Drive & Fair Oaks on a quiet residential street in Altadena- Pasadena.

CASA LUNA is the perfect home for intimate, small events such as business meetings, luncheons, dinner parties.

About Kittie Brown & Chris Bloch

CASA LUNA is our beloved 1926 Spanish home in Altadena bordering Pasadena. It's filled with the design & memories of each of those places we've traveled, lived in & loved. Our Casa is our sanctuary in this world.

Kittie was born and bred sassy and smart in the south, energized and enlightened in the Land of Enchantment, rejuvenated and revitalized in Mexico, & self-actualized and sustained in California...

The words Wanderlust & adventuresome could be used to describe her. Her entrepreneurial & creative talents have been used in careers from owning an iconic retail shop in Santa Fe to owning a production company with her son, Whiskey Pete, a well-known vocalist, performer, & composer in Electronic Dance Music.

Kittie underwent a life -changing cervical fusion surgery in 2013 & was given an opportunity for more life and more love. Her new life chapter began when the business of sharing Casa Luna was born following her long recovery.

Chris is a California native and was born close by in the San Fernando Valley. From an early age, he realized that he lived in the best place in the world and stayed put!

His many skills and talents have been put to good use in real estate and mortgages, and in recent years, working in the entertainment industry.

Kittie thinks his greatest role is being the master handyman & protector of Casa Luna since she is 90 years young and loves the attention!

We are blessed with an amazing life. We've been given children, family and friends that fill us with great contentment. Our joy of life is a reflection of all that are grateful for and all the lessons we've learned along the way.

Our incentive to continue exceeding our guests expectations and providing them with a memorable time in our home is very dear to our hearts. This opportunity has given us the joy of welcoming people from all over the world into our home.

Notes:
OLD PASADENA is the business district of Pasadena, a lively and diverse city located just ten miles from downtown Los Angeles. This eclectic old town area features entertainment and activities for kids and adults alike: museums, galleries, and music events, as well as movies, shopping, restaurants, and outdoor cafes. Families often stop by after sports events at the Rose Bowl; this clean and safe district is pedestrian friendly and provides convenient parking and easy access to public transportation, served by major bus lines and two Metro Gold Line stops. The ROSE BOWL is an outdoor athletic stadium in Pasadena, California. The stadium is the home field of the UCLA Bruins football team and the site of the Rose Bowl Game, a college football bowl game traditionally held on New Year's Day.

Coming down to Altadena to visit family on a regular basis, this lovely home takes care of all our needs. The house is so comfortable and charming, and our hosts could not be more accommodating and pleasant. I highly recommend Casa Luna.

A warm and inviting home

  • 5 of 5

When we come down to visit our grandchildren in Altadena, this is our favorite place to stay. The owners are the most charming and gracious people who go out of their way to make us feel at home. The house is delightful and so thoughtfully arranged to make your stay as comfortable as can be.

Love the house. It was all that we wanted. Would recommend it.

  • 5 of 5

We were going to the Rose Bowl parade and the location of this house was great. Owners were quick to get back to us if we had a question. It rained some so we did not get to use the patio. Wish we could have. Would use this house again.

Wonderful cottage retreat

  • 5 of 5

Spent a few days outside the LA hustle bustle in a wonderfully decorated Spanish style cottage. Comfortable from end to end with all the amenities you'll ever need. Quiet suburban neighborhood, ample parking and a recently remodeled back yard privacy area to hang out and relax. Hosts met me personally at check in to ensure I knew my way around and could settle in without issue. Can't wait to visit again!!

The lovely home was just as expected.

  • 5 of 5

We met the owners for a short walk through upon our arrival. Super friendly and informative people. The lovely decorative home was just right for us for our 1 night stay to attend an event at the Rose Bowl. It was super helpful that we got great directions from Kittie about where to park for the event without having to get onto the Rose Bowl property as approx. 90.000 people were expected to attend the concert. It worked out great for us, we parked exactly were they had told us to start looking for parking and only had to walk approximately 1 mile to the Rose Bowl. Especially after the concert this was truly the best thing ever. It did not take us very long to get back to the Casa. We enjoyed sitting in the backyard garden area for our coffee in the morning before visting the Huntington Library for the day.

CASA LUNA IS LOCATED

2.9 Miles from The Rose Bowl

& 3.5 Miles from Colorado Blvd. in Old Pasadena.

A big city overshadowed by a much bigger city, Pasadena promises evening entertainment shrouded in small-town serenity. Culturally stimulating and classically-inclined, Pasadena's favorite pastimes include museum excursions and community-wide parades. This wholesome area isn't the urban metropolis that is Los Angeles proper—and that's exactly why people love it. When you want to get to LA's soaring edifices or sandy beaches, hop on the Metro Gold Line. The city is known for hosting the annual Rose Bowl football game and Tournament of Roses Parade. In addition, Pasadena is also home to many scientific and cultural institutions, including the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Fuller Theological Seminary, Art Center College of Design, the Pasadena Playhouse, the Norton Simon Museum of Art and the Pacific Asia Museum.

Altadena is an unincorporated area and census-designated place in Los Angeles County, California, United States, approximately 14 miles (23 km) from the downtown Los Angeles Civic Center, and directly north of the city of Pasadena, California. The population was 42,777 at the 2010 census.
