Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
No wi fi and VRBO had somewhat misleading statement about wi fi available. This is 2017 should be standard. 3 of 4 heaters including bedroom didn't work first night and had to get maintenance out to fix. These are also in wwall fan heaters that are quite loud and hard to sleep when they keep cycling on and off. Water was shut off to unit on arrival and there were no instructions how to turn on which included walking outside around building locating a padlock to unlock to find the switch for the unit. Television was HDTV but only basic cable so at this point felt like everything was being done on the cheap. Much better other options available I should have chosen would not recommend.
The condo is a very pretty condo that sits right on the lake. The view is very pretty. The condo is comfortably furnished and very attractive. The condo was big enough to not feel cramped. The condo is very convenient to downtown Sandpoint. Parking was not a problem. There were enough pots and pans to cook but absolutely no condiments, spices, oils or any of the basic staples for cooking which made it more difficult. Overall a very enjoy able stay.
Small and quaint but well furnished. We enjoyed our time there between Christmas and New Years.
First, the condo itself was really lovely and well maintained with a clean, well-stocked kitchen and bathroom, comfortable bed and furnishings, and even a washer and dryer. However, my husband and I picked this place largely for the view, since this was a working vacation for us (lots of writing to get done), and we wanted to enjoy the lake scenery while we got things done inside. What we didn't know was that the water level would be so low in November that the view out our windows was mostly of an acre of mud and the highway that goes across the lake. I'm sure it's lovely in summer when the lake is full, but in the late fall/early winter, the view isn't really worth looking at!
You can also hear the trains running all day and night. The noise wasn't bad, but if you're sensitive to that sort of thing, you might want to know.
Lastly, although this wasn't the owner's fault and probably won't affect future guests, the condo directly above us was under major construction of some sort during our entire stay, so there were lots of hammers banging and power tools grinding away from 8-5 for three days straight, and construction workers walking up and down the stairs and back and forth outside carrying gear around. I was glad we'd brought a box fan to help drown out the noise!
Also, it was perfect for two people, but the hot water ran out quickly (getting cold during a second shower), so having four people stay would be problematic if everyone wanted a shower in the morning!
Overall, a lovely, comfortable place to stay.
