We had a very comfortable stay. We were blessed with the beautiful weather, beaches and Bodmin Moor is stunning. Our son has discovered a love of horses.
Great cottage, great location, owners lovely
A wonderful cosy and welcoming little cottage right on the edge of Bodmin Moor
We had a lovey weekend at Old Dairy Cottage. It have everything one needed for a long weekend or indeed for longer. Ross and Brenda were very welcoming, they left goodies and fresh flowers in the cottage for our arrival. The information pack was full of interesting facts about both cottage, farm and the wider area. A great place to base yourself for touring around Cornwall. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to our friends. In addition Ross and Brenda left enough logs for the wood burner for the duration of our stay. This is most unusual as in our previous experiences we had to buy the logs for the fire. A great extra.
So cosy and friendly a perfect holiday
The cottage was cosy perfect for 2 and our dog. We were all made very welcome.
The surrounding area is almost magical with gnarly trees and stone bridges wherever you turn and the wildlife was wonderful if a little alarming at first when they hog the road.
Very well situated for the coast and many Cornish attractions or just to roam the moors.
The little village up the road has most things you need food wise so there’s no real need to go into any towns if you prefer to stay rural and the village store is next to a lovely pub too and it’s all within walking distance what could be better.
Excellent, brilliant, fantastic!!!
Exactly as I anticipated form the description and pictures
The Old Dairy is a really lovely little cottage, with everything you could need for a short stay. Enclosed patios at the front and back so safe for dogs, nice, secluded private parking right next to back door so loading and unloading is easy. Two very nice, simple bedrooms with comfortable beds. Living/dining room very cosy with wood burner, small kitchen but fine for holidays. Bathroom spacious with excellent shower. Lovely open moorland right outside the door for walking dogs. Convenient for visiting Eden project, Padstow etc. and there's a lovely pub down the road serving good food and cider.
The cottage owners, Brenda and Ross are very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Thoroughly recommend this for a short break.
Cosy and comfortable
Lovely stay at Hallegenna.
Loved the location on Bodmin Moor.
Cornwall is our new favorite place.
A fabulous fly-drive base, the cottages are centrally located and situated in uninterrupted countryside officially designated by the World Heritage Organisation as An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Open Moorland with wild horses is the view from your windows and yet the closest beaches are just a short drive away (Rock, Polzeath, Trebarwith Strand). Only a half mile stroll from the village of St Breward where you will find a village stores, post office and an Olde Worlde 11th century pub with roaring log fires and a Les Routiers Restaurant.
A few minutes away from the Camel Trail which runs from the Moor to Padstow, you can hire bikes locally, which will give you a great day out.
Just 4 miles from the main A30, both north and south coasts are easily accessible, as are Cornwalls many other varied attractions. Wadebridge is just 7 miles away if you would like a more cosmopolitan experience and is well served by all sorts of boutiques and supermarket.
