3 bedrooms, one en-suite, main bathroom, sleeps 6-11

150 metres from nearest ski lift, 100 metres from nearest piste. Central to the village, but in a quiet area. The large terrace is fully enclosed to waist height, and is ideal for small children in summer. There is a connected balcony, with a gate from the terrace. The apartment has been independently audited for child safety, and a full range of baby and toddler equipment is provided. Easy access to all Chamonix valley ski areas, Megeve, St. Gervais, Les Contamines, Flaine, Courmayeur, Aosta Valley, etc. Finished to a very high standard and comprehensively equipped. Sleeps up to 8 in bedrooms (one double, one twin/double, one room with twin bunk, single, and pullout single). The lounge has a convertible double sofa/bed, and a second sofa is a full size single. Bed linen included in price. Catering, shopping and babysitting services by arrangement with English-speaking local agents. There is a secure, allocated, underground parking space.

Long term/seasonal rentals are welcome

Bookings and Payment: We accept bookings for any period (minimum fee 5 nights or 300 pounds, whichever is greater). We welcome enquiries for seasonal and long-term rental - please contact us as early as possible to discuss you requirements.

Deposit of £50 or equivalent at time of booking, the balance due 8 weeks before arrival.

The large, solidly-fenced terrace, raised one level from the building entrance, is fully decked and ideal for toddlers in the Summer. It does not get too much direct sun, so small ones can play safely while adults use the apartment and separate balcony. The master bedroom has french doors opening onto the terrace, so tired parents can watch over the little ones from their bed! Child safety has been independently audited, and the apartment is equipped with relevant safety features for young children, and also has baby/toddler equipment such as high chairs, cot/playpen, steriliser, bed guard, etc.

Great location with mountain view

Great location with beautiful view of Mont Blanc range from porch. Appartment is quite spacious and well equipped. Owner was very responsive to resolve an issue we had during our stay, so overall a great experience. Loved the quiet litte town of Les Heuches, only 10 minutes by car or bus from town of Chamonix.

Spacious Apartment in excellent position in Les Houches

As a group of 5 blokes, it can always be a bit hit and miss to get a good sized apartment to sleep everybody comfortably (especially in France). This year we stayed in Keith's apartment in Les Houches instead of going to Chamonix Centre and ended up with suitably spacious accommodation.

It is clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need, we even managed to spend a few nights eating in instead of visiting restaurants every night. It's positioned close to the Bellevue cable car offering excellent access to the tree lined slopes of Les Houches. We also liked the garaged parking as this meant there was no need to scrape ice off the windscreen first thing in the mornings.

I wouldn't hesitate to use this apartment again.

Best apartment with the best view!

Best apartment with the best view! Just few min from Chamonix, one hour from Anssey lack. We and our 3 children (14, 12, 12) have really fun there >> rope parks, cable lifts, mountain trains, beautiful nature nearby.

Apartment itself is a modern wooden apartment very comfortable and … sitting in the terrace and looking on the Mont Blanc and Agile amide every day from morning to 10 pm (late sun set on the mountains) just beautiful.

I'm recommending this apartment strongly.

We will return.

What a lovely apartment

This was our 5th year staying in Les Houches but this was one of the best apartments we've stayed in. The size of the bedrooms was great, for once it didn't feel like we were sleeping in a cupboard. It had everything you needed for self-catering and more. It was in a super location, close to the shops, bars and the Bellevue cable car.

We will return, thanks Keith don't change anything!

Christmas 2011 in Les Houches

We were a party of two families, consisting of 4 adults and 3 teenagers.

Before we arrived at this fabulous apartment, Keith (owner) was really helpful, by email and on the telephone. He was very friendly and informative, and made sure that our stay was comfortable and well catered for with regard to equipment, wifi etc.

When we arrived, the apartment was clean and warm and there was ample space for us all.

Keith (caretaker) and his wife visited us a couple of times and were lovely.

The outside space if you were using this apartment in the Summer months was excellant and very well equipped.

The location was very good, only a few minutes walk to the Bellevue lift, and to local shops and restaurants.

We will definitely enquire about coming to this lovely accommodation again.

I've been a keen skier for many years, and was looking for a place that had year-round appeal and good access to other ski areas and holiday attractions. The Chamonix valley hits the spot, and has some of the best scenery in the Alps.

Why Keith Oborn chose Les Houches

We looked at a number in the Valley. Chamonix town is a lot more expensive, and can be noisy. This apartment had the unusual benefit of a large terrace, and also unusually for a place of this size is all on one level.

What makes this apartment unique

Chamonix and Les Houches are the antithesis of the purpose built ski resort. They are real communities, with a hugely mixed population (English stand-up comedy in one pub!). Businesses are individually owned and know they are competing for your custom. So it's friendly and dynamic. Skiing is not even the biggest sport - that' climbing. But the skiing is world-class.
