Over 3000 Sq. Ft. 6 Br, 4 Bath Home Directly Across The Street From The Beach.

From the minute you arrive, you know this is going to be the beach vacation of your dreams. The one where family memories are made and cherished!

Welcome to The Aquagon, a newly renovated octagon shaped home that offers over 3000 Sq. Ft. and can comfortably accommodate up to 15 guests!

The Aquagon is situated directly across the street from the Gulf of Mexico (locals call it the "Gulf") in St. Joe Beach just steps away from a designated beach access. The home is located on a quiet stretch of SJB and there is nothing in front of the house to block your view of the Gulf!

As you enter the home you will immediately see exquisite views of the Gulf and Cape San Blas. The nautical themed décor and comfortable furnishings include reclining sofas, flat screen TV , DVD and wireless internet. There is a open kitchen with stainless appliances and granite countertops, as well as a large eat- in area where you can watch for dolphins playing while your family enjoys a meal. The expansive deck is perfect for soaking up the Florida sun or watching the breathtaking sunsets. And the views don't end there. At night, the stargazing is unforgettable!

There are 4 bedrooms upstairs( BR 1: 2 twins, BR2: One king, BR3:One king, BR 4: One full) and 2 full baths (Bath 1: shower/tub combo, Bath 2: extra large tiled shower). Downstairs there is a den with a Queen sleeper sofa, shower, bathroom and laundry area with TV, DVD and mini fridge. This could be used as a separate bedroom area or a place to send the kids on a rainy day. A separate entrance allows a place for a quick shower after rinsing off the sand and heading in.

There is also a 2 bedroom downstairs suite that can be closed off from the downstairs den for privacy.( BR1: one full, BR 2: one twin).This unit offers separate entrances, a living area with a Queen sleeper sofa and loveseat, full bath with tub/shower combo and stackable washer and dryer as well as a full kitchen and eat -in dining area. Outside, there is a covered porch where you will find a shady spot to dine, relax or take a nap in the hammock.

There is a large yard with plenty of parking for both your cars and your boat!

This location offers privacy and a less crowded beach while being a short distance to shops and restaurants. Nearby Port St. Joe offers quaint shops, parks, historical sites and a Marina. Mexico Beach offers restaurants, a fishing pier, marina and numerous cute shops.

St. Joe Beach is a relaxing destination that offers beach, boating, fishing and wildlife. If you want to take a scenic drive, head East to Appalachicola, Indian Pass or Cape San Blas. Panama City , Fl is a 45 minute drive to the West.

Do as much or little as you like! No matter how you choose to spend your vacation, we hope you will come to love it here as much as we do!

I grew up a couple of hours from here and have always loved the beach. My husband and I always dreamed of having a Florida getaway and now our kids have the greatest playground ever! We never get tired of the beauty and nature that we find in this area.

Why Camille Lakey chose North West Florida

We fell in love with this area the first time we visited. Having grown up in the Florida Panhandle it reminded me of "old Florida" before all of the high rises and over development. The views this house offered of the beach told us we wanted to renovate this home and have this as our "get away" .

What makes this house unique

We love the location of this property. It is on a quiet end of the beach and offers privacy since one side is wooded. It was a labor of love, but we knew our family would make a lot of memories here. It is the ultimate in relaxation. The massive deck offers the perfect place to have your morning coffee or watch the sunset. Once you see the views, it is hard not to feel relaxed.

Perfect spot for a multi generational family vacation

We've stayed on the Forgotten Coast many times over the last 30+ years, but never this far north (toward Mexico Beach) and were a bit nervous about getting out of our comfort zone. But we loved it!! We were evenly spaced between the boat launches at Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach and it was so nice being only a few miles from the grocery stores in PSJ. The beach was beautiful in front of the house and access was easy via the public beach access at the end of Pine St. The house was perfect for three adult couples and multiple teenagers and 20 somethings, especially with the extra living area and kitchen downstairs.

Wonderful Experience At The Aquagon

Our family found the Aquagon to be a perfect vacation spot this summer. We stayed there from 9 to 16 July 2016. It was centrally located along the coast within easy travel time from Panama City & Apalachicola. The price was reasonable for the amount of space & amenities offered. There were 15 of us (3 generations) in the house & there was plenty of room without bumping into each other & feeling confined or restricted. The two kitchens were invaluable, & the two Washer & Dryer sets on the Ground Floor were a Godsend with 7 Grandbabies (ages 17 to 2) going to the beach & sightseeing each day. I would recommend this vacation home for anyone planning for a getaway with a large group. While the beach directly across from the Aquagon was nice, we found that traveling to the Cape San Blas area for swimming was particularly enjoyable. It was about a 30 minute drive from the Aquagon, cost $6.00 per carload and had some of the best beaches in the area. The property was very clean, all facilities ( bathrooms, HVAC, kitchen appliances, lighting, etc) worked perfectly. The owners provided us with exceptional Customer Service. All our questions were answered promptly, the rules for staying at the Aquagon were clear & concise & money transactions were fast & accurate. The traffic wasn't bad on Hwy 98 at anytime. We had no problems getting from one place to another. We stopped by a couple of roadside restaurants in Mexico Beach & found them to be nice, clean & affordable. I would recommend that you do your do your grocery shopping at the Dollar General Market in Port St. Joe, rather than the Piggly Wiggly. We found the prices were outrageous at Piggly Wiggly. Example: A 2 lb. package of Chicken Breasts were $11 vs. $3.50. Gas averaged about $2.35 a gallon while we were in the area. Overall, we had a great time this summer and will definitely come back to this area in the future.

Just Right!

Everything about the Aquagon is just great.

The location in relationship to the beach is perfect. It is so easy to get to the beach with a very short walk across the street. The beach is clean, and was never crowded. We felt like we had our own beach some days. The water was clear and beautiful and there was very little seaweed or algae the week we were there.

The location within the area is ideal. We were close enough to Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach that it did not take very long to get to the grocery, a restaurant, shops, seafood store, etc. But, the location also did not have a lot of traffic. The location seemed secluded and had a neighborhood feel. We loved the whole area for its laid back, quiet atmosphere.

The home itself is spacious, clean and well maintained. All of the pictures on the listing are representative of what you see at the house. You have 2 complete kitchens, plenty of bedrooms and beds, a huge living room upstairs and a fantastic 180 degree view of the water and Cape San Blas in the distance. There were 11 of us and we had plenty of room.

Wonderful home for our family vacation!

We are certainly glad that we chose the Aquagon for our family vacation. The house was beautiful, clean, and very nicely decorated. The proximity to the beach was fantastic, and when the weather cooperated we had a great time there. The beach was secluded and it was almost like having our own private beach! The town of Port St. Joe was quiet and exactly what we were looking for. Also, the owner Camille was very nice, easy to speak with and quick to respond when I contacted her.

I would recommend this home for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway vacation away from "touristy" Florida!

Nearest Beach
St. Joe Beach, Fl

Our home is the last house before you head into Windmark Beach area. Centrally located between Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe. You choose how you want to spend your vacation....do as little or as much as you like. Our white sandy beaches offer everything you expect but tend to have less undertow because of the position of the Cape. This makes a nice place for children to play. Dolphin sightings are common . Besides the beaches, you can book fishing or scalloping trips(during season), rents kayaks, see the beach by horseback or find numerous places to shop for antiques and coastal décor . Port St. Joe offers lovely parks, walking trails and history. Panama City is a 45 minute drive if you want to shop/dine at your larger venues. It makes for a nice day but you will be happy to return to the less crowded , relaxed beaches of St. Joe!
