Enjoy this restored log cabin with queen loft, 1.5 baths (shower/no tub), fully furnished kitchen, breakfast room & den. Jotul woodstove for rentals during Winter months, firewood provided. Great sunsets from back porch. We share fresh eggs from the chickens, Kangen/alkaline water, & fresh veggies from Summer garden. Pet friendly. Wifi, Charter Cable. Separate entrance & separate parking from owners in main house. Hosts have super friendly golden retriever and an 8- year old that play in shared backyard. Mini-split heating and air system for individual room control. 10 minutes to Navitat Canopy Tours (coolest zip lines around!), 10 minutes to French Broad River, 15 minutes to Blue Ridge Parkway, 12 miles to Wolf Laurel Ski Resort and snow tubing, 8 minutes to great restaurants, art, clubs, people-watching, etc... in awesome Asheville. 5 minutes to quaint downtown Weaverville or Mars Hill, location of Mars Hill College. Cabin located 1 minute off Interstate I-26.
We are 10 miles on Interstate 26, door to door, from our rental cabin to downtown Asheville.
The pull-out sofa will sleep two, but when in use, it blocks access to the kitchen unless you move the sofa in front of the woodstove. You can access the kitchen via the back porch, but that's a chilly awakening in Winter months (although it's only about 6 steps outside and back inside). I mention this in case you have kids that sleep later than you do, and you need your morning coffee!
We have fenced chickens in our yard in case your pets are prone to taunt them, and the large backyard is fenced but not airtight. Our dog isn't prone to escape, so we've never solidified the fencing for diggers.
We have nice (close proximity) neighbors to the right of our home, nobody on the left that you'll see, and there is a nice neighborhood across the street that has good hills for walking exercise. Jupiter Rd. is a fairly busy county road. Pay attention when exiting the driveway.
My husband, dog, and I couldn't have been more entranced by this charming cabin, its surroundings, and its owners. Not a false note anywhere. And the considerate presentation and amenities that GeGe and her husband Brian provided--well, we've never encountered anything like it. Think of being in a first-rate B&B except that all the space is yours. The surrounding communities were both interesting and beautiful, and the proximity to Asheville and other points of interest, both cultural and natural, were fantastic.
We highly recommend the Glass Onion in Weaverville for a first-class dining experience.
Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer than 5 nights in this delightful, beautiful part of the US. But we'll be back and will be recommending both Asheville and the Sinclair place to friends and family.
Great job providing us a home away from home, GeGe, Brian, and little Ava, perhaps the most charming child this side of the Mississippi.

Rustic, cozy, cabin. Everything you need to have a relaxing, peaceful, quiet stay. Bed was very comfortable, great pillows were an added bonus. The back porch with the rockin chairs was complete relaxation and serenity. We really loved staying here, will most definitely stay there again. GeGe and family were very nice and friendly, you hardly knew they were around. The surrounding area is beautiful and the people are friendly, lots of great local eateries. Hated to leave and return to the real world. So if you are traveling in the area, you now know where to stay.

This was a cozy little property that my family of 4 enjoyed along with our 2 dogs. Even though it's a one bedroom, there was plenty of room for everyone. Our kids were 11 and 13 and they shared the pull out couch. The house was well appointed and the yard was shared by the owners family. We felt at home and had everything we needed. When we return we hope to have the cabin available so we can stay there again.
I was looking for a cabin to get away for a few days and found it! My Family enjoyed the staying at the cabin, tubing down the French Broad River, Went to Sliding Rock and did some Gem Mining. Close to the best Zip Line Adventure around ! Would like to come back soon, especially during the Summer Months to be the coastal heat! Our two children slept on the hide a bed and my wife and I stayed upstairs, Nice kitchen eating area and enjoyed the back porch in the mornings. Thank you for providing such a nice place for my family.
We had a lovely stay in this backyard log cabin. Great for a writer's retreat or couple's getaway. The owners are very hospitable and even though the cabin is in their backyard, there was plenty of privacy. We enjoyed feeding their chickens, and our dog loved romping in the wonderful fenced-in backyard. The cabin is comfortable and well-appointed (we did a good bit of cooking in the kitchen and had everything we needed). I appreciated the simple touches like laundry detergent in the laundry room, lotion and soaps, a hairdryer, even a dog bowl. You can tell the owners have thought through what guests might need and if you are a lover of architecture and restoration projects, you'll appreciate the cabin's charm. It only took us 10 minutes to get to downtown Asheville, and the cabin is a very short drive from the interstate. Only bummer was that the fireplace is no longer functional, but the owners are working on getting a wood-burning stove.
We stayed here over Thanksgiving and loved it. The owners were away and we were sorry we did not get to meet them because it seemed like they would be great fun judging by their rental. The girls loved running around the yard, playing on the swing and talking to the chickens. The house was clean, comfortable, well equipped and full of interesting details. The location is right off the highway so it's easy to get anywhere. I fully expect to return again.
