Beautiful log cabin just completed in August 2015. Sleeps 4. Master br has a queen bed, closet and dresser and tv. Loft has 2 twin beds. Kitchen is fully furnished with granite counters, bar, stove, dw, refrig, and microwave. Full size bath with shower/tub combo. Den has tv over gas fireplace. Everything is new! Enjoy the peaceful setting rocking on the front porch. Enjoy friendly horses nearby.
We have lived in the area for 32 years. I am a building contractor and build in the corinth, iuka and pickwick area. This project was my first log cabin. I have enjoyed building this cabin because it was different. We have had so many people stop by and look and ask how much would it cost to build them one? I have never had so many people like a property like this one!
Jimmy Stricklen purchased this cabin in 2015
I have always loved log cabins and had the opportunity to build this cabin this summer. I have enjoyed this project so much. Me, my wife and daughter have put a lot of time and thought into every detail of this project.
I custom built every door, the staircase, the beds and the cabin. Enjoy the peaceful setting out on the front porch while you rock in our rockers.
Everything was perfect. Hope to visit again one day when we have more time.
The cabin was excellent in every way. We felt very "at home" & comfortable. Everything we had hoped for and more. Hope to return in the near future.
Lovely space with gracious hosts. It is obvious that this property has been built with passion and cared for in the same spirit.
My only complaint is I only had time to stay one night! The cabin was spotless, very pretty, and so very comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit!
I wanted to give the cabin a better rating because I did love its rustic character and the history behind the cabin. It is beautifully decorated and clean and new. I subtracted one star because it doesn't have wi-fi which I admit isn't mentioned in the description and I didn't really look for it. We didn't have cell service either (t-mobile). Under different circumstances this wouldn't be an issue, but since we were traveling from Georgia for a wedding, it made it very inconvenient to communicate with the cousins we were visiting. I also subtracted a star because the mattress sags to the middle. I am a small person, especially compared to my husband, so it was uncomfortable sleeping at an angle.
This cabin is exactly as pictured! My husband and I stayed here for two nights, as a weekend get-a-way for our 25th anniversary. The cabin is directly off the quiet country road, a ten minute drive from town. As you enter the cabin every detail is perfect. The porch was decorated with beautiful fall decor and was completely inviting. Once inside there were no disappointments here either. Livingroom and kitchen area was cozy and had everything we needed. We ate breakfast and supper here. The bed was so comfortable. There are touches all through out this cabin that just invite you to stay longer. It is exceptionally clean and we were able to totally relax. Thank you so much for this much needed break away!
While in Corinth we ate at Borgums Drug Store. Definitely a don't misss for some of the best burgers and milkshakes we've had in a long time. We tried the slug burger as an appetizer. It was worth trying but definitely different. We also ate out at The Rib Shack, it was very good. Ribs and slaw were very tasty. While out about town we attended the Red and Green Market. It was a quaint, nice small craft sale by the depot area. I truly enjoyed this whole trip and would recommend that friends visit. We would love to return ourselves. Thank you again for an incredible week-end.
