I am a grandma, a nurse and a crafter. I moved to Carmichael 8 years ago with my daughter and her family of husband and now 3 children. We found two houses next to each other on the same property and have built our lives here. When "Papa," my dad passed we were lucky enough to have found a house 3 doors down for Granny to move into. She has since moved in with me leaving her house empty. Why not try renting it on VRBO? Ok so that's how this house came to be. So far it has been a successful venture.
Yvonne purchased this house in 2011
This house is on a super quiet neighborhood easy access to both Sacramento and Roseville.
This neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Lots of trees and plenty of walkers to say hello to while your taking the trash out or walking with family. This house is on a well used bike path.
Mary and her husband stayed in our house for the month of April. What a great couple. I would rent to them anytime. They left the house much as they found it. They were both very easy going and fun to visit with as the month went on. Good luck to you both in your new home.
The house is in a quaint neighborhood, close to town, and close to Rudolf Steiner College which was our main reason for visiting. It is well equipped with bathroom toiletries, kitchen tools, etc. The owner is responsive and provided good service if we needed it. The house is reasonable priced and the pictures represent the home accurately. Simple furnishing but worked well for what we needed.
The house was suitable for our stay. There were a couple issues and the owner responded promptly and professionally. Since the issues could not be completely resolved during our stay the owner credited us partial on the rental fees in compensation for the inconvenience. Thank You Yvonne.
The house is conveniently located with access to the major freeways and many restaurants, shopping, and entertainment venues. It is also close to the American River Trail for biking and hiking.
Constructive criticism, the house could use some uncluttering including the garage, a few more usable kitchen utensils and pots, pans, dishes, and a deep cleaning. Note, we stayed over a month and had numerous home cooked meals where most guest’s stays are much shorter and they more than likely dine out for the most part.
Over all we had a pleasant experience and would rent from this owner again.
Nice quiet house. It was nice to travel and not feel like you were trapped in a hotel. This home met all our needs and we enjoyed our stay. Uncle loved sitting in the back yard in the mornings drinking coffee and reading his book. If I venture this way again I would stay here again. It was very accommodating for 5 people, never ran out of hot water either! Was able to find everything we needed with the location. Even ran into some wild turkeys up the street while on a walk.
We had a great time in the house. Plenty of room, a great outdoor space, and nice neighborhood. I would stay here again, and recommend to friends.
My wife, 6 years old daughter, my parents and our Brittany Spaniel stayed for two nights at this great house in Carmichael for two nights in July 2016. We all came down from Redding for the CA State Fair and the location was just right, as it was about a 20 minute drive to Cal Expo. The house was just the right size and was eclectically designed with comfortable retro furniture and a large flat screen TV. The rooms and beds were comfortable. The backyard was perfect for our dog and she was unable to escape--excellent fencing!! :) The neighborhood is very safe -- saw many joggers in the mornings when we were having our coffee. Great foliage all around due to soil quality based on close proximity to river. Owner was very easy to work with and quick to respond. Would definitely stay here again for a future Sacramento-area visit. Thank you, Yvonne!
The residence was situated in a woodsy environment. The host was excellent and accommodating, there was even toiletries available (just leave a minimum donation to replace). I found it to be clean, convenient, and safe. The living quarters were very comfortable, especially the beds. So nice to be in a home away from home. I look forward to staying there again and would recommend staying there to friends and family visiting the area.
Oh yes, seeing deer in the area was a special treat.
