Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday chateau / country house in Tavira

Dream Villa, 2 bedrooms, sea views, landscaped gardens, super features

The rural location of the villa allows for a quiet, relaxing holiday, away from the crowds but close enough to plunge into it at any time. Tavira with all the shopping is 10 minutes away. The villa has on the ground floor of a large, bright living room with fireplace and sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen and a shower room. Due to the hillside is a staircase leading from the living room in the basement with 2 bedrooms with double bed, shared bathroom. From the living room, as well as the bedrooms, patio doors lead to the spacious terraces with stunning sea views. The large pool area with grill / kitchen, plenty of seating and outdoor shower round out the feel-good atmosphere. The beautiful Mediterranean flair is enhanced by a landscaped, terraced garden and the associated rural land.

Central heating and satellite system with all major German and English. TV programs.

Supervision of a German / English agency site.

Sights in the Eastern Algarve: kilometers of sandy beaches protected by beautiful lagoons and tidal environments with different wild birds and waterfowl, where even flamingos find a home in a nature reserve, the Ria Formosa. Tavira is well worth a visit with his more than 35 churches and historically valuable city center. In the restaurants of the small town streets you have to try freshly grilled fish. Also worth seeing Faro to go for a stroll with your old, beautiful heart, a Convent and a bone church of the Franciscans and a manicured shopping street, where it's nice and cafes to visit. The seaside city is still Arab Olhao with its beautiful large covered market, which are especially Saturdays interesting because the local farmers their fresh fruit / vegetables to sell out. St. Lucia, former stronghold of the ink fishing is now popular destination to 'this' to eat or to go by boat or a 'little train' to the sea.

Other destinations: Close to us and very quickly accessible is Spain. About the border river the Guadiana, runs a small ferry from Vila Real St. Antonio and is about to Andalusia, where among others the beautiful world of appetizers, the Spanish tapas starts. The world of the Spaniards, with its many legends tell of horses and bullfights, the shimmering heat, the fighting between the Portuguese and Spaniards long ago and the dawn of the modern long way into the white villages of the municipality. Visit El Roccio, a place of pilgrimage, where there was once a valiant churchman, who saved many Gypsies in the vicinity of his church from the persecutions of the fascists. Visit the adjacent 'Donana' nature reserve, with rare birds and lynx, its large pine forests and continue to Seville, one of Europe's finest cities. You only drive about 2 hours. By car to Seville. Enjoy yourself!

Golf: There are now in the Eastern Algarve 5 new golf courses where the golfer to check themselves or just play in a fantastic natural landscape Golf. All places are easily accessible either on the EN 125 or via the motorway A 22nd Some recommendations: Quinta da Ria 18 holes 72 over a length of 6110 m, Quinta da Cima 18 hole 72 / 4971-6256 m, 18 hole Benamor 72/5500 m, Castro Marim 18 holes 72/5466 m, Colina Verde 18 hole 28 / 1145 m.

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I visited La Manzanilla for the first time Feb 14th to 28th . We found a really nice little Mexican village with a fabulous beach and very friendly locals . Good variety of restaurants and quaint shops all within walking distance . We stayed at the lovely " Casa del Viento " run by Brenda and Douglas . Great hosts who are extremely helpful with lots of info on good spots to eat and things to see and do in the area .Perched high on the hillside we had the whole top floor to ourselves with a big kitchen open to the patio that overlooked the village and beach with a fabulous panoramic view . The walk up and down to the village will keep you in great shape . Thank you Brenda and Douglas for making our 40th anniversary so special !!! Norman and Cecile, Calgary Alberta Canada .
