Beachfront so close you can hear the waves and watch the dolphin! Don't squint to see the beach! This really is beachfront. We offer discounts for rentals of 28 days or more - just ask and I will send an amended quote that reflects the discount.

See the new photos of our beautifully remodeled condo - just completed in November, 2016. See "Links and Video" section for a video of our unit. Note: Twin beds can be converted to a king bed- furniture in second bedroom is new so pictures need to be updated- very pretty! Our unit is accessible with an elevator, wide doorways, grab bars in the Master bathroom, etc. New portable crib in unit. This unit has its own garage (tandem parking for two cars) - very important to rent a unit with a garage considering the sun, heat and salt air.

Dine - in prepared food delivery service is now available! You can have your romantic dinner and a glass of wine on the lanai while watching the Gulf and you don't even need to leave our unit or cook! Grocery delivery is also available. (see Links and video tab for link to prepared food delivery).

Thank you so much for considering our perfect island get-away, beachfront condo on Sanibel Island! Our family has been coming to Sanibel Island for over 40 years and I would like to share a few thoughts on what we think makes Sanibel so unique and special, and why our condo (unit 607) is your perfect beachfront home-away-from-home. Please look through the pictures and see if you agree. A special welcome to our international visitors! Also, if you are thinking about a wedding on the beach, this may be your place! Our onsite management staff has officiated small, beach weddings- just ask.

First, here are a few quick facts about the unit (Unit 607). It is located in Sanibel Siesta on the Beach - a resort/condo community. Our unit (607) is an immaculate, spacious, two bedroom (king master and two twins in second bedroom which can be converted to a king bed), two bath, updated, nicely furnished unit with new beds, new mattresses, and bedding with a queen size hide away bed. It's very bright and beachy! The condo can sleep 6 comfortably. It is on the beach and has great views of the Gulf from every window and the screened in lanai. It has granite counters, tile floors, new/newer furniture, completely repainted in 2015/2016, flat screen TVs, cable, Internet and all the comforts of home. Our guests frequently comment on how nice the unit is and the terrific location. We love to hear that and are constantly updating the unit as it is our home-away-from-home too!

And now let me tell you what makes Sanibel Island so special. It starts as you leave the frantic mainland and begin your journey across the bridge to the island. It is definitely a "wow" moment as you see the sun dancing off the crystal blue water. You may have a pelican or two following your car as if to say "welcome/welcome back", or you may see dolphin swimming gracefully in the bay, or see a few fishermen on their boats as well as parasails and paddle boards. The beautiful drive over the water never gets old and is the official "start" to your vacation.

As you enter the island you will experience the Sanibel difference; Sanibel has no stoplights, no big chain fast food restaurants, no high-rises or highways and no ugly strip malls. What it does have are lots of natural habitat, protected wild life sanctuaries to explore, miles of bike paths, pristine shell beaches, lots and lots of shells for the kids to collect, beautifully maintained resorts, gracious homes with lots of green space and of course the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. If you are looking for a place to unwind and unplug- this is it!

If you are into water sports, this is definitely your place. You can rent a boat and cruise the inter-coastal waterways and explore the other barrier islands, which are accessible only by boat (one of our favorite things to do). Some of the islands are inhabited and some are not. You can anchor your boat and wade or swim to shore, explore the island and do some shelling. Last time we went to one of the islands by boat, there was a wild pig wandering the shore. You will probably see dolphin, wild birds, manatees, stingrays, and possibly a sea turtle or two. Or you may want to rent jet skis, paddle boards, kayaks, parasails, go on a sunset cruise or head over to Captiva Island (the ajoining island to Sanibel) for the day. The next day you may want to take one of the bikes off the Sanibel Siesta bike rack and explore the island (or bike to Captiva). The bike trails are safe, perfectly maintained, easy enough for kids (and old "kids" with bad knees) and are a great way to explore the island. Or you may choose to walk out the front door, go down the steps (or elevator), grab the beach chairs from our garage, umbrella, sunscreen, and a good book and hit the beach or do a little shelling on the world-famous Sanibel shell beaches. Your commute to the beach is literally less than two minutes. Regardless, you will definitely feel like you are on vacation when you are on Sanibel Island. As for our condo (Unit 607), it has all the things that I personally look for in a vacation home; it is immaculate, well furnished and maintained, updated, has a great view of the Gulf from every window and the screened-in lanai, is in an immaculately maintained, small resort community (Sanibel Siesta on the Beach) with a heated pool, tennis courts, bike rentals right on the property, golf course literally across the next street, shuffle board, internet, and is located on Fulgur street and Middle Gulf Drive (which is directly on the beach). Sanibel Siesta is one of the few condo homes/resorts allowed to build so close to the Gulf water (see the "Location" tab to see that our unit is directly on the beach- not across Middle Gulf as many are). Additionally, only two of the buildings at Sanibel Siesta are located directly on the beach and our unit is in one of the two Gulf-front buildings directly on the beach. Our unit also has its own garage to protect your car from the sun, heat, and salt air. Why squint to see the beach?? In Unit 607, you are so close to the water you can actually hear the waves.

Finally, our beach home has all the amenities you need and is a great value for a Sanibel Island beachfront (which can be very pricy). The perfect combination- a beautiful, updated beachfront condo for a great price without feeling like you settled! Just bring your swimsuit, sunscreen, a beach towel, flip flops, a good book and your sense of adventure.

And, if the cook of the house also wants to take a break from cooking or if you just don't want to go out some nights (think Gulf front dining right on your own lanai), Sanibel Siesta can arrange for prepared meal delivery for one or more nights- just ask and we can provide the details! About Christine Kosmos

We are second generation owners! My parents bought this property in 1977 when it was one of the few condo homes on Sanibel Island. Most of the island was natural habitat with very few buildings. You may notice that Sanibel Siesta is more "beachfront" than most other properties on Sanibel (most building are now more "set back") and that is because (as I understand it) building codes allowed for building directly on the beach. So when I say "beachfront", it really is on the beach. No squinting required!

My father is a retired builder and woodworker so you will see many of his touches throughout the unit (custom cabinets and furniture) and, because of his profession, it has certainly been one of the more renovated units in Sanibel Siesta! My father was also on the Sanibel Siesta board of directors for many years and would oversee many of the improvements and upgrades.

My family and I have taken over the condo and plan to keep it in the family for years to come. It is our home too so we will continue to maintain it just as my parents did for many years.

Why Christine Kosmos chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

This property is personal to us- it belonged to my parents and we spent many happy vacations on Sanibel Island. After years of renting elsewhere, my parents rented at Sanibel Siesta on the Beach and promptly bought a place. It is in a great location on the island- close to shopping and restaurants but away from any big resorts or the public beach. The beach in front of our unit tends to be more private.

It is our home now and we are happy to share it with others that will treat it as their home. We have renters that have been with us for many years and it is because we meticulously continue to maintain our home. It is also very accessible with an elevator, wide doorways, grab bars etc.

What makes this condo unique

The views and the location are what attracted my family to our unit at Sanibel Siesta on the Beach. As I said, Sanibel Siesta is right on the beach and our particular unit is so close, you can hear the waves from our unit. Not every unit in Sanibel Siesta has the views we have and most other condos are more set back. The on-site management keeps the units and the grounds in pristine condition. We also love that it has the beach out the front and a heated pool, golf course, and tennis courts out the back. There is so much to love about Sanibel.

Booking Info: There is an on-site management office if there are any issues. Reservations are made by sending an email to: reservations@sanibelsiesta.com and ask to rent UNIT 607 or by calling 239-472-4117. They are open 7 days a week- 9AM- 5PM eastern time. Also, I respond to inquiries very quickly and can hold the unit until you contact the office. Cleaning service and fees: There is no day to day cleaning service. I pay for cleaning service after your departure- there is no extra charge for cleaning. Meal delivery: Don't want to cook? Sanibel Siesta now has a service that can deliver meals- just ask the office or contact www.MainDIshMama.com. I have a link to this on my Links tab. Beach view: Very few units at Sanibel Siesta have the beach view and few are as close to the water as our unit. So if you want a great beach view, please ask for our unit. Comfortable ocean view

Clean and comfortable with tile floors and modern furniture. Ceiling fans and all stainless appliances add to the comfort. Nothing was lacking. When we decided to go out, our car was cool from the garage underneath. Even being on the third floor was no problem with easy access to the elevator. We have already rebooked for next year. Just loved your condo! Thank you

Everything and more! If we vacation in Sanibel again we would definitely stay in this unit again!

Our family of 6 stayed in this unit for spring break 2017. The unit exceeded expectations. The owner was so friendly and helpful, answering all questions (and I had alot since we had never rented a place for vacation before). She was very involved with the whole process from beginning to end and checked in with me via email during our stay to make sure everything was ok. She went above and beyond, even providing me with a list of family friendly things to do/places to eat on the island and giving great suggestions for a family on a budget. The condo was beautiful...the pictures are great but don't do justice. We were so close to the beach we didn't even need to use our beach wagon. This unit provided beach chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys at no extra charge. I thought being on the 2nd floor would be a hassle hauling things but there are luggage carts at the elevators if needed and because this units's garage is literally 15 steps from the sand we just carried the beach stuff to and from the beach. If we return to this island for vacation we would definitely stay in this unit again.

Wonderful Property!

This property very pleasantly exceeded my expectations! It is directly located on the beach, and has a spectacular views. We listened to the ocean our whole stay. The unit is also absolutely spotless, with updated appliances and furniture. The bed in the master was also extremely comfortable. The owner was very easy to contact and extremely helpful. We also brought our dog with us, and it was so amazing to stay in such a wonderful place, and have our beloved dog with us as well. The on site staff was also extremely kind and helpful. The rest of Sanibel Siesta was fantastic. The pool was clean, and we had it to ourselves everyday. They even have recycling on site which was a huge bonus for us as well. There is even a sink to wash the many many shells you will inevitably start collecting. The hardest part about our vacation was having to leave! If possible we will absolutely be back.

Amazing!

One of my absolute favorite places that I've been! The condo is perfectly located right on the beach and is beautifully decorated and incredibly clean. The location is close to town and able to take a quick drive in or bike to various restaurants and stores. Beach was not crowded and very, very clean. Chris was a dream to work with in regards to booking; very prompt in email response and answered all our questions to make sure this spot was perfect for us. We will definitely be back!

Great location & value

The condo was just as described - plenty of place for our family of four, very clean, and comfortable furnishings. We loved the view from the balconies and being so close to the beach! Due to location, this is one of the best properties to stay in at the complex. We greatly appreciated being able to use the beach chairs and umbrellas that were provided. We also enjoyed having the pool and shuffleboard so close. The owner was great with communication during booking and also following up on our stay. The office staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay as well. I would definitely recommend this property, and we'd love to stay here again if we return to Sanibel. We ate at the condo a lot, but there are many great restaurant options on the island. Beaches are beautiful and not too crowded!

Reservation fee £38.65 + Tax
Tax Rate 11.0%

Cancellation policy: Written notice is required 60 days prior to arrival for full refund less an administration fee of $50.00 per week booked plus tax. If notice is received less than 60 days prior to arrival, deposit will be forfeited plus tax.
1. There is a 5% discount on rentals of 4 to 7+ consecutive weeks. This is reflected in the stated monthly rate.
3. There is a 10% discount for rentals of 8 or more consecutive weeks.
3. All reservations are made through the management office of Sanibel Siesta on the Beach. Please email them at reservations@sanibelsiesta.com and ask to book unit 607 or call 239 472 4117.
Cancellation fees apply to reservations not cancelled at least 60 days in advance.

Payment is made by contacting our manager @ reservations@sanibelsiesta.com or by calling 239 472 4117. They are open 7 days a week; M - Sat until 5PM eastern, Sunday until about noon. They will request a deposit upon booking and then the balance is due at check-in. You can also make reservations after hours on line at www.sanibelsiesta.com and book unit 607.
