Step into this secluded townhouse and you'll know you chose the perfect cozy spot for your getaway. The property is located in the northwest corner of town with views of the Palisades yet close to shopping, the university, and activities. The free shuttle bus, which heads to the Crested Butte and the ski resort, stops a block from the front door.
Downstairs features a large open concept with a well appointed modern kitchen and western themed decor. The kitchen has everything the cook needs including a gas range and double ovens. You will find a large flat screen TV connected to DISH and WiFi and a gas fireplace as well as a deck, all within easy view of what's happening in the kitchen. In the three bedrooms upstairs (appropriately named "the lawman", "the elk room", and the master) you will find comfortable new queen mattresses. The master bathroom includes a jetted tub and separate shower. A washer and dryer are conveniently located upstairs for your use.
The Van Tuyl trail is steps from the door and is a perfect path for hiking, jogging, biking, and groomed for cross country skiing and snow-shoeing in season. Gunnison is the hub for many activities. The town offers a recreation center with heated lap pool, leisure pool, and kids' pool and nearby indoor and outdoor ice rinks. Within a short drive you can enjoy golf, rock climbing, trout fishing, 4-wheel drives, mountain biking, hunting, the town of Crested Butte, and Crested Butte Ski Resort. Monarch ski resort is a 45 minute drive east of town.
We purchased this property to stay longer in Gunnison and enjoy this amazing country even more. You'll find us in the Seattle area during the winter months, but once the run-off finishes in mid-June we are here for the summer. Fly fishing, long hikes and enjoying the scenery top our list of activities. But our very favorite thing to do is to share this incredible land with relatives and friends. We believe you will soon agree!
This townhouse had everything you would hope or expect to find in your own home. 1/2 bath on the main level made it convenient when watching tv as a family or sitting down to a meal prepared in the nice kitchen. 3 bedrooms upstairs were comfortable. The master bath was generous enough for two people. Close proximity to everything in town and convenience between the two ski areas. Would highly recommend this place! Owners are amazing to deal with too!
The home was staged very well with the decor of the West the owner spent great time in the detail. The location of the property was great with having free bus service (within walking distance) to other locations, especially if you're here for the skiing. The town of Gunnison was nice, quaint and friendly, something that everyone must experience.

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean, easy to get to, and comfortable. Nothing too fancy, but overall very nice. The gas fireplace puts out a great deal of heat, which was quite welcome after a long day of skiing at Crested Butte. The neighbors were friendly and quiet. Gunnison is pretty tiny, but it still helps that the residence is centrally located.
The owners were also very helpful and accommodating. Will definitely return.
We had a grand time, part of which was staying at the Wilkins' home in Gunnison. It was a cozy place, well equipped for home cooking, & outfitted with all that a family needs for living out of a suitcase. The condo was clean & well maintained with furnished details that gave the place character. We skied or skated every single day of our stay, both XC & downhill. Trails maintained by the city of Gunnison happen to be situated right out the back door. We ate at the Bistro & drank beer at the brewery, both downtown. The City Market was close by. I would recommend this property highly. It was quiet & welcoming.
Enjoyed our 9 night stay in this quaint Western Townhouse, close to town and quiet. Very cozy home, nicely furnished with comfortable beds.
Great location with all the amenities. The garage was a great space to park our mountain bikes and the back deck was awesome for hanging out in the evenings. A quick pedal to town. Definitely will consider staying here again in the future. The owners were great and answered all my questions leading up to the stay.
