About Sue Ostrander

Paul and Sue , we are the owners of this Cabin. We purchased this with the thought if living there when we retire, but we still need to work a while longer first. So for now we are offering it to you as a rental to enjoy.

Why Sue Ostrander chose Tennessee

Very private, yet only 16 minutes from Dollywood if you chose. So much to see and do without being right on top of it.

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin is easy to get to, and paved all the way to there you enter our cabin, no dirt or gravel to walk through, no steps to climb the last cabin at the end of the street, and while you are there you may feel you are the only ones around most of the time.

My fiancé and I stayed here over New Years and enjoyed every minute of it. The cabin was super "homey" and extremely clean with all the essential provided. We were so close to Gatlinburg and Piegon Forge, but still far enough away from city's . We most definitely look forward to renting out this beautiful cabin in the future.

The Bears Cabin was everything we expected and so much more!! Our stay was perfect. Everything in the cabin was so clean and nice, even the throw blankets were the softest, and there was one in both bedrooms and the living room. I never seen a spec of dust! VERY Impressed! I am a fool for fire places and this cabins fire place set it off. Well stocked with everything we needed, all we brought was our personal things, clothes, and our food/drinks. The pillows are the most comfortable I have ever slept on, as well as the beds, and even the couch hide a bed.... and now I want pillows like that at home....the Hot tub was amazing. My family and I had never stayed in a cabin or been to the mountains before and it was the most wonderful experience. We have 3 small children (3, 9, &10) so the washer and dryer and dish washer was really nice too. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin, I will recommend it to everyone I know and we will be back ourselves as well!

Beautiful cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend this lovely cabin that is in a peaceful, quiet setting. It has a real fireplace, not gas, for those that love to listen to the snaps and crackles of a real fire. The owners are amazing, very quick to respond to any questions. I will definitely stay in this cabin again!

Everything was excellent. It says private but there is a cabin right next to you. We thought there wasn't any around it. The coffee pot doesn't work. The cabin is great and we had a great stay.

Great cabin

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cabin, very nice and clean. Everything we needed was provided. The only thing I would suggest is a new coffee maker, it took almost 45 mins for a pot to brew and the one in the cabinet didn't work at all. Over all great cabin!

October stay

  • 5 of 5

We came with another couple and were very impressed how clean the cabin was. The water pressure is awesome. Beds are comfy. It is fully stocked. Although it is a smaller cabin- it is open and spacious at the same time. The bathrooms are a great size and the deck was a good size too. Its not that private as there is a cabin right next to you but thats it. There are not mountain views except for the way up and back down to the city. No wifi- but i appreciated the break from it all. The owners are very sweet and attentive. We all decided to come again next year!
