Enjoy over 3,000 square feet of living space with 2 large roof top terraces, a large balcony with outdoor dining set and your own private pool.

One of the greatest parts of Playa del Carmen is the wonderful weather - typically in the 70s and 80s year round - so why not enjoy it outside! Enjoy outdoor showers. Grill fresh food on our dual charcoal and gas grill. Star gaze on our expansive roof top terrace with several lounge chairs and large dining table and chairs. Skinny dip in our private pool!

Unlike most vacation rental properties, we live in our condo full time. As such, it is very well decorated and appointed. On the walls you will find nice artwork. Adorning the counters there is nice, quality touches like glass vases and figurines. The kitchen is well stocked with high quality appliances sure to satisfy any cook.

Our penthouse is divided into 2 floors. The top floor houses the large master suite with king bed, very comfortable high quality mattress, 60 inch flat screen 3D HDTV with American Dish Network and 3D Blu Ray disk player and en suite bathroom with his and her sinks, spacious shower and large side by side washer and dryer. The second bedroom (also on the top floor) has 2 twin beds, a 42" HDTV and a private bathroom. Both the master and guest suites have their own large terraces and both terraces share access to the large, private 14" x 16" foot pool, 4" deep. The guest bedroom terrace boasts the outdoor shower, gas and charcoal BBQ, outdoor dining set and many lounge chairs. The master terrace is more shady and quiet and is great for relaxing!

The first floor of our penthouse hosts the modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, dish washer, hot and cold fresh water cooler and breakfast bar. Next to the kitchen is the dining area with table and seating for 6. Adjacent to the dining area, our living room houses comfortable and ample seating and a 70" HDTV. Off the living room is another private terrace with outdoor dining table and seating for 6.

My penthouse resides in the Quadra Alea condos only 1 block away from the pedestrian shopping and dining boulevard of 5th Avenue, and is only 4 blocks away from Kool Beach. DAK, a fresh fruit and veggie market is only 4 blocks away as is Mega, a large supermarket. Quadra Alea boasts elevators in every building, 2 large swimming pools (in addition to my private pool), a fitness center, 24 hour security, large garden areas and gigantic underground parking facility.

About Matt Weatherbee

We moved from Boston to Playa del Carmen, Mexico in 2008 and we haven't looked back since. We came originally on vacation and saw the opportunity to open a successful property management company. Within 3 months of returning from vacation we had quit our jobs, sold everything (except our condo and car) and drove 4,500 miles from Boston to Playa with our 2 miniature schnauzers.

We absolutely love Mexico. The food is fantastic - we eat out often, enjoying a variety of cuisines in one of a kind establishments, most of which are within walking distance of our condo. We have formed a large circle of friends, mostly retired expats, and even host Thanksgiving with usually more than 50 attendees! For Halloween a group of 20+ friends come over, all dressed in costume and we hit 5th Avenue and hand out candy to all the children. It is the most fun day of the entire year!

When we are not working, Matt enjoys working out, reading, playing bridge, cooking gourmet meals and visiting the beach. Allan enjoys watching TV, playing blackjack, eating out, going to the movies and also visiting the beach.

Absolutely beautiful Appartment walking distance to all attractions. Highly recommended

Staying in this beautiful home was our pleasure. We enjoyed our private pool on lazy days when we did not want to leave the house. Beach and 5th avenue are a short walk away. We were never bothered by any street noise or party noise during our stay. The hosts were amazing at accommodating us and could be reached at any time. The Appartment is beutifully staged and has all the necessary supplies. Overall, great experience during our stay. Thank you Matt and Allan <3

Couldn't have been any better.

On the third floor (with elevator!) this unit was perfect for our stay. Two blocks from the beach, one block from many restaurants where the action is. the unit has a lovely rooftop pool. As a chef, I was privileged to have full amenities: a grill on the rooftop, very nice kitchen well equipped. The unit is very quiet. some Playa neighborhoods can be quite noisy. My third time in Playa. Hope you can make it. This is a good choice.

Absolutely Fantastic!

From the ease of booking, the promptness with which the owners (Matt and Allen) and our assigned concierge (Deborah) answered our questions / made arrangements for us (a group of four), to the property itself, we could not have asked for more. What a wonderful and relaxing vacation. The property is immaculately decorated and maintained; not a single thing about which anyone could complain. Do yourself a favor and take advantage of the concierge services the owners' property management company offers - they are worth every dollar / peso! From arranging private transfers to and from the airport, to arriving on site with the frig stocked with all we asked for, to having a chef come two nights (Veronica - she was great!) and cook wonderful authentic Mexican cuisine, we simply could not have picked a better spot to spend a week. We will be back for certain!

Large condo in very good location

The condo is close to everything, there is a large tourist street about 300 meters away, close to shopping and numerous restaurants. The Condo is a large two story Penhouse with its own pool. The place was clean and well maintained, with nice Balconies for eating, barbecuing and relaxing. We stayed one month, it was great.

Beautiful Condo in Town

Matt and Allen have a beautiful condo. It is only a few blocks from the 5th avenue main walking street and about 4 blocks to the beach. The condo itself has everything! They also have a concierge service and were very helpful with the few questions we had. The unit is exactly as pictured. Lots of outdoor living space as well. A cleaning service came in on Tuesday and Thursday. The condo complex is quiet and very well maintained. There is also a gym with good quality exercise equipment on the property. We would definitely rent from them again.

We are located on 26th Street between 10th and 20th Avenues, a 5 minute leisurely stroll to the beach. We are only 1.5 blocks from the shopping and dining options on 5th Avenue, a 1 minute stroll away. A supermarket and fresh fruit and veggie market are also a 5 minute stroll away. There are some fantastic dining options right near the condo. And right next door is a fitness complex with running track, soccer field, tennis courts, basket ball courts and paddle ball.
