My husband and I purchased this property including a small trailer in 1998, and upgraded to the new home in 2010. We had always camped on the lake, and owning a home on the lake was a dream which through God's blessing we finally realized. We are a very close family, and our daughter and son were raised on the water. They are both adults now, but still enjoy hanging out with their parents. We can't wait to have grandchildren so that we can introduce them to the joys of lake life!
Brenda C. Park purchased this house in 2010
We chose this property because we often camped at Coneross Campground, so we knew this area of the lake well. We live in Greenville so the drive is very easy. This property has a short Core line and a gentle grassy slope to the water. It's remote enough to offer quiet and relaxation, while still being close enough to Clemson and Seneca to enjoy shopping, dining, etc.
In addition to the seclusion, we love many features about this location and our home. The screened front porch is everyone's favorite spot - great for enjoying your coffee in the morning, or a relaxing drink in the evening. The rear deck is perfect for enjoying the swing while you smell your food cooking on the gas grill. The fire pit by the lake warms up those cool fall evenings. The lake by day, and the stars by night - amazing. Try lying on your back on the dock at night, gazing up to the sky. Millions of stars with no light pollution. It truly is a little taste of "paradise".
We had a great weekend in Clemson and enjoyed staying at your house (even though my team lost :(.
I would definitely come back again.
We used this house versus a hotel for our SC federation six man tournament. The house was in a great location. We were able to park three trucks and bass boats and had plenty of outlets for our battery chargers. The area was real quite and we did not have to worry about our equipment which we were able to leave on our boats. Everyone on the team enjoyed the stay and thought the accommodations were great. We will try to use it again when the six man returns to Lake Hartwell. I have a daughter at Clemson and was able to run over and have lunch with her on one of my days. This would be a great place to stay if attending any event at Clemson (Sports events, orientation, move in, etc). Mrs Parks was a pleasure to work with and even communicate a plan power outage on one night to make sure we did not miss our alarms.
The screened porch was the perfect way to start and end every day of our Clemson weekend -- the house is outfitted with everything one would need, beds are great, house was spotless — highly recommend it!
Lovely very clean home right in the lake supplied with everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend away from Atlanta! The screened in porch was my favorite place to enjoy coffee in the mornings and gentle conversation in the evenings! Great location too!
Wonderful family getaway. Accommodations really fit the needs of our family with adults, young adults, and children. Plenty of together space and individual places too. Loved sitting on the screened porch in the mornings and evenings. Location was perfect for treks to Clemson and surrounding towns. Easy access to amenities -- shops, restaurants, grocery stores, & activities -- but who needs it? Lazy days on the lake were enough!
We are already planning a football weekend...or two. :-)
We had a wonderful time using this site as a launching for our son's wedding at Sleepy Hollow. We were able to sleep our elderly Mom, daughter and son-in law and their baby as well as the 2 of us. Sleeping 7 would have been a little crowded but doable. The lake was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed the porch. I would suggest bringing groceries for at least the first night if you plan on eating in. Brenda is a dream to work with and I would do it again.
What a lovely place to spend a long weekend. A home away from home. Clean, quiet and comfortable.
I would highly recommend this over a cold hotel room any day!
