Why Misty Marmolejo chose South Austin
Our Motto: Relax and Enjoy! We have included a private deck with our cabin so that you can enjoy a morning cup of joe or an evening adult beverage of choice! The in ground swimming pool provides for a refreshing and cool swim and the overlook is something to enjoy for watching an evening sunset or stargazing. We've created the space for you to truly get away, relax and enjoy!
What makes this Cabin unique
You get the best of both worlds by being within 20 minutes to downtown Austin and within 5-10 minutes to Hill Country Wineries, Brewery's and live entertainment at the Nutty Brown Cafe. You will enjoy this property because it is absolutely quiet and relaxing out in Hill Country.

Great getaway close to home
My husband and I wanted a long weekend getaway that was close to home (we have senior dogs that can't travel far) yet felt like a real vacation. We weren't sure what to expect still being in Austin, technically, but Misty's property was so close to all the new shops/restaurants in the area, as well as Dripping Springs, that we had plenty to see and do when we weren't just relaxing at the beautiful pool on the property. The pool was by far the best part of the stay - clean, cool, and it had lovely grassy areas around it with lounge chairs.
This was a perfect little place for our mini vacay to Texas. We will definitely be back!
Family of 4 weekend stay
Great stay at this hill country location. Easy to get to, perfect for 2 adults, 11yr old + 3 yr old. Quiet, peaceful area, easy access, pool was great. Close to the city, yet very secluded. Only thing is the Sleeper Sofa in cabin 1 may need to be replaced, Not very comfortable. Other then that everything you need is there, we didn't cook much, but full kitchen would have allowed us to.
A little bit of everything
My husband come to the Hill Country about twice a year, and this is definitely one of my new favorite spots to stay. You get the peacefulness of the hill country but are also so close to the city and many delicious options for dining out if the mood suits you.
The Hill Country cabin was in a great location. The property was very peaceful. We had some rain, so we didn't get to enjoy the pool but it looked very maintained. The purpose of our stay was to enjoy a relaxing night at home Friday and explore the Hill Country on Saturday with dinner reservations. That being said, we made dinner in on Friday. The kitchen wasn't equipped with what we needed so I would be careful of that. The knives weren't sharp enough to cut our vegetables and thankfully we brought our own Pie pan and bread loaf pan. We cooked breakfast and had to improvise with what few pans that were available. The cottage sleeps four but I wouldn't count on putting anyone on the couch sleeper sofa. It is so uncomfortable. There were deep holes in the frame that caused it to sleep very very painful. The second night we decided to take the memory foam mattress out and just lay it on the floor and that worked much better than the bed frame. I wished we had thought about that the first night. Overall the location was good. It was clean and we enjoyed the stay. We visited wineries and breweries that were very close by. I would recommend an inventory be done of what actually is in the kitchen to work with and definitely get a new sleeper sofa. On the upside, there was plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, towels and supplies to do the dishes. There was even coffee and basic necessities. I would recommend this place for two and if you didn't have plans to cook meals.
Cute and clean property close to many fun places!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The hosts were very accommodating and answered any questions we had in a reasonable time frame. Place is a great size and just what we needed for our trip around the Austin area. The fenced in yard was a huge plus since we brought dogs with us.
Only thing that was an issue was the wifi was not available for purchase and we didn't find out about it until the day before check-in... which was fine by me; but a couple other guests were a bit miffed.
While enjoying your stay, we highly recommend the Nutty Brown Café and the Salt Lick BBQ. Both have great food and entertainment. We also recommend taking advantage of the many wineries, breweries and vodka distilleries...there are so many within a 10 mile radius of our location.
