Ilene Barnett purchased this house in 2006
This is a very peaceful property on the Salmon River with lovely views and a huge yard, including pasture areas to see deer grazing every day. The geese fly over and float the river, a bald eagle conducted its daily hunt and deer were seen every morning and every evening. The home is large and spacious, the furnishings are comfortable and there is an abundance of outdoor seating. An absolutely beautiful location. The owner lives on the property and is very gracious in providing a quiet atmosphere. Although the well water is not good tasting the owner provided a lot of bottle water which made our stay quite easy. The owner was on top of any issue and willing to take care of anything we may have needed. Great place to stay.
Really enjoyed our stay in Ilene's home on the Salmon River. It is a large, comfortable home in a lovely spot. There was plenty or room for three couples and our dinner guests. The tap water is undrinkable but there was plenty of bottled water supplied so we did fine. Thanks, Ilene.
Awesome house and property!!! Thanks for hosting us for the week Ilene. The house is huge and the setting was perfect!!
We cannot thank Ilene enough for sharing her vacation home with our family. It is a fantastic place! The home sits right on the bank of the Salmon River and the views are just breathtaking. The house is spacious and very comfortable. We took advantage of the firewood and tinder that was bountifully provided and enjoyed the fire pit each evening. All in all we loved staying here and will come back.
The property was extremely well maintained and cared for with a fantastic position overlooking the salmon river. To sit on the deck in the evening and listen to the river running past was such a pleasure. The picture windows enabled us to appreciate the magnificent scenery surrounding the house. We had spent a very active week in Montana and this provided the perfect relaxation we needed.Ilene thank you so much.

This rental home and its property only added to what was unfolding to be an EPIC family reunion -- epic being the term used by everyone in attendance. The property is close to town yet far enough to feel secluded. The river is right there in the backyard which allowed us to do a float trip from the Salmon bridge all the way to the back yard of the property where we pulled out. The covered patios allowed us to sit dry as we watched some heavy storms roll through that were followed by sunlight. The driveway is immense which allowed us to have an enormous bike/longboarding derby as a family. The owner was extremely accommodating of my active family. The place is very nice with conversation friendly living areas and extraordinary outside views. My family has agreed that they want to do this exact trip next year!
