Sunny, Comfortable, Convenient

The apartment is very functional and comfortable. The owner, Donna, made us feel welcome. The apartment is within walking distance of the major sights as well as the train station and the tram that takes you to the airport. It's an uphill walk to most of the sights but the buses are very convenient if hills are a problem. The bus stop and a decent grocery store are two minute walk away. The apartment is quiet and has a large window in the living area that lets in lots of sun and has a lovely view. The internet and all the appliances worked well.

Perfect apartment!

We have stayed in a number of self-catered units in Edinburgh and this was by far the nicest. Great King Street is extremely clean, quiet and elegant, and the same words could be used to describe the building and the flat itself. I cannot think of a single criticism; the public areas of the building are spotless and the flat is bright, cheerful, and cozy. The bathroom has been thoughtfully renovated with plenty of shelf space, a large well-lit mirror, a good shower with plenty of hot water, and a heated towel rack. There were even towels in two different colors so we didn't get them mixed up! The kitchen is small but featured good high-end appliances, including a washing machine, and was well stocked. The living room featured a very comfortable sofa and a new television. The bed was very comfortable (on the firm side), and there was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space to store all our clothes. This flat immediately felt like a home away from home, and after a day of walking and sight-seeing we always looked forward to coming back to it and relaxing. A big thank-you to Donna, the lovely owner, for helping to make our Edinburgh holiday such a success. This will definitely be our first choice next time we visit.

Great Apartment in an excellent location

We stayed here for 6 days. This apartment is in a great location, we were able to walk every where ( Edinburgh Castle, Mary King Close, Edinburgh Museum, The Royal Mile, Arthurs Seat, numerous stores, Pubs, local grocery store), and too many more places to mention. The people we rented from were informative and very helpful, the apartment is clean and very comfortable. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is travelling and wants to explore Edinburgh but also wants to feel the comforts of home. Thank you to Donna & her husband for starting my trip to Edinburgh off on a happy & relaxed note.

This trip could not have been better! The owner was very accommodating, friendly, prompt and totally professional! The flat was immaculate and perfect for a single or double occupancy. Nice location too!

Beautiful flat great location

Great flat top floor of Georgian house very well equipped Tesco,cafes and bus stop just minutes away,but as the flat is at the back of the house it's very quiet.Its a short walk uphill to George St ,Princess St also to StockbridgeOwner met us at property and left lots of extras including wine

biscuits etc and toiletries.A real find.

A perfect space for two

The apartment has everything a couple might need for a short stay. The living room and bedroom are both a good size and each has a huge window making these two rooms feel even more spacious. There's a choice of comfortable seating in the living room, lots of storage for clothes in the bedroom and the kitchen is well organised with a good range of equipment, cutlery and crockery. The apartment is so nice we didn't feel like we were missing out when the Edinburgh weather got so bad we stayed indoors for a day and watched from the beautiful big windows as the rest of the world got drenched. Being on the 3rd floor the stairs up to the apartment were sometimes a challenge after a long day walking around Edinburgh but one can always take rests on the landings and the steps themselves are shallow. Donna who manages the apartment was very friendly and helpful. Most importantly the location is excellent. Only a short walk to the main tourist area of George St and Princes St and a nearby bus service for those who don't fancy the uphill walk.
