Situated on the second floor of a traditional Georgian building, the apartment is ideal for an individual or a couple. It contains an open plan sitting room / kitchen, a bedroom with a king sized bed and a shower room.
The apartment is in the heart of the New Town, a desirable area close to the city centre and the shops and cafes of Stockbridge, art galleries on Dundas Street and the Botanic Gardens.
Donna has lived in Edinburgh for most of her life. She studied languages at University and is now married to a Frenchman.
Donna purchased this apartment in 2010
Perfect location for exploring the city and a very comfortable place to be based.
Everything was very comfortable and clean. Our hostess, Donna was very helpful. The apartment even had a wash machine. The location in Newtown was within walking distance to old town and very convenient for grocery shopping as well as short walks to nearby restaurants. All the museums are a short walk away. Buses were available when we wanted to take one. We felt we had gotten lucky and chosen the best that was near everything that we wanted to see even though this was our first time in Edinburgh. We would recommend it to anyone who wants to be in the city but still have a quiet and comfortable homey stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. We were returning to Edinburgh from a three day tour of the Highlands and the Isle of Skye.....and unexpectedly returned at 8:45 PM.....and dropped off on the Royal Mile. Donna was very understanding and met us at the apartment at approximately 9 PM. She helped us with our luggage and spent a half hour showing us how the hot water, heater, lights....everything worked in the apartment. This apartment has a washer, a roomy bathroom, a very comfortable bed and other furnishings....plus all the kitchen appliances and items you will need. It has two large, wonderful windows overlooking this and the neighboring building's gardens. Our friends stayed in a hotel on York Street, easy walking distance and close to many restaurants. It was a wonderful retreat at the end of a busy day.
Stayed in Donna's flat for 5 nights and loved it! Everything was clean & tidy and just how we pictured it would be. She had plenty of towels for us to use, an ironing board, even a hair dryer! Donna was very friendly, responsive and an excellent host!

This appartment is totaly in accordance with the photos of the site. Very good situation , decoration and perfectly clean.
