Enjoy the colorful sunrise over the bayou from your master bedroom, or pull the shades and sleep in today! The historical boat house is located right out back. Perfect for fishing or reading away a quiet rainy day. OR, surprise your family with a boat rental and pull right up out back to pick them up. Walk a few steps across the street to private Whitney Beach for a day in the sand or to enjoy the picturesque sunset every single night! (Your cooler, towels, and toys are waiting for you right now in the closet of your home-away-from-home.)

It's a long walk or lovely bike ride to several waterfront restaurants or boutique shops. It's only a tiny bit more ambitious bike ride to the colorful musical fun of Anna Maria Island. OR, hop in the car and be at St. Armands Circle or other Sarasota fun spots in 10-15 minutes.

This is the perfect spot to begin every vacation day! Wake up and decide, is this a beach day or do we want to visit The Ringling Museum or Mote Aquarium? The family has made sure that you have plenty of local attraction information available for you to leaf through while you sip your coffee in the morning on the docks.

This is our home away from home. We'd love to have you treat our place as YOUR home away from home. There's fishing gear, beach toys, art supplies, children's craft supplies, bicycles, and board games for you to enjoy. The wine tree should have bottles to share and we try to keep just enough water and beer in the fridge so that you can enjoy the beach as soon as you get here and go get your groceries later. Enjoy yourselves and please leave the place just as stocked and ready for fun for our next guests. \n\nPlease no smoking or pets. This home is safe for those with allergies and asthma.\n\nThere is a book on site with quick check-out procedures and any other information you may need to make your stay more comfortable. You'll have our cell numbers just in case you need anything.\n\nPlease let us know if you would like to have weekly cleaning service during your stay. (There is an additional cost of $500 for this service.)

LBK -Beach, Bayou Beautiful

Friendly owners have a wonderful property in an excellent location to enjoy a beach and activities filled stay. Bikes and beach toys included and there are heated pools which are great especially if it is windy at the beach. There is a fishing dock nearby the unit where you can launch a kayak or fish. Unit well stocked and clean. Fun time.

We needed this

We were looking for a get-a-way where we could relax and feel at home, but away from the busy city. This place is perfect and the owner-family made us feel welcome with all the special touches. We actually travel a lot, but no other rental owner has ever made us feel so wanted. We weren't quite expecting that. I also can't say enough about the beauty of the bayou. I wasn't familiar with the area and assumed I wanted beach front. Lesson learned. The bayou views at Whitney Beach are less expensive but phenomenal! Boy, if you get the chance, you MUST watch the sun come up over the bayou. Best master bedroom morning view ever! (And, yes, we sat on the beach and watched the sunset most nights too.) I want to go back soon!

Sun, Sand and Serenity

This rental is located in a secret little paradise. The kids enjoyed every minute, from watching the manatees swim through the bayou in the morning to seeing dolphins play in the ocean in the afternoon. The beach was beautiful and we had it all to ourselves! Even though the children absolutely loved it, my husband and I agreed that it would be a perfect retreat for just the two of us too!

Excellent Anniversary Spot!

I surprised my wife with a get-a-way. This condo was the perfect choice. The owners have set this one up to really make renters feel like GUESTS. They weren't kidding about the sunrise in the morning. The view over the bayou was completely unexpected! We will be back.

This property has been in our family since the Whitney Beach Community was built in 1969. We are third generation owners with a genuine love of the beauty and history of this area. We are a family of five (three adult children) from northern Indiana. This is our home-away-from home every chance we get! We're very happy to be able to share it with you. Whether your visiting for away- time as a couple or for good quality family time, we'll make your stay comfortable.

Why they chose this property

We absolutely love the perfect location of this unit. We wake up on the bayou with the beautiful sunrise coming over the trees and calm water. We are right on the water and can often see the dolphins or manatees swimming right outside our window while we have our morning coffee. The private Whitney Beach is right across the street, which is just a short walk. We actually chose to maintain THIS unit rather than move beach side so that we could enjoy BOTH the sunrise and the sunset. Our bayou facing home stays cool and shaded even on the hottest of July afternoons! We are in the perfect spot.

What makes this property unique

The historic Boat House is right outside of this unit. We spend almost every morning chatting over coffee or reading (and waiting for dolphins) in the boat house. The kids love to fish there and I actually LOVE a good rainy day reading outdoors in the boat house. It's so close that we often make dinner and carry everything out there to eat.
