The apartment is managed by professional concierge and housekeeping services, but owners stay personally available by phone and email to help guests enjoy the flat and it's beautiful surrounding areas.
Robert Hagger purchased this apartment in 2002
A “walk to everywhere” perfect central location, close to the romantic Pont Neuf and walking distance to many major attractions such as Le Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral and the left bank Latin Quarter with shops, galleries and restaurants. Also close to the Mabillon market St Germain, with sports centre and swimming pool. A leisurely, but amazing, 45 minute walk through history, past the beautiful museums along the River Seine will take you to the Eiffel Tower.
The unique benefits of rue Dauphine are the location, comfort of the apartment, the peace of the river and the excitement of the shops, restaurants, art galleries, historical surroundings and museums. Tour boats, bikes and scooter rentals available close by. An evening aperitif with music at the 4 star Hotel D'Aubusson opposite the apartment? - then dine at the Relais Louis Xlll where the young Louis was crowned in 1610 after the assassination of Henry lV - or just pick up supplies at the delicatessens, bakeries and market stalls in the rue de Buci and enjoy a peaceful evening at the apartment. So much to do, so much to see, make sure you stay in the 6th district...
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the rue Dauphine apartment. We had everything we needed for our 4 day stay; the apartment was well appointed and comfortable. I always look at reviews from others before I pick a property to rent and this place supported what I read from other reviewers. It was within walking distance to many sites. The metro and taxi stands were several blocks away. We were able to find groceries, restaurants, and stores nearby. The informational sheet provided was very helpful. We would happily rent this apartment again if we return to Paris.
We had a superb time in Paris for the month and we would urge everyone to park themselves in that beautiful city and apartment for a month to enjoy its abundance. Your home made the experience so comfortable for us. The size was perfect for two people and the layout and furnishings complemented the beauty of the surrounding neighborhood. The location could not have been better - with the river waiting for us on one end and the lively Bucci on the other. We walked between 6 and 10 miles a day and found we could walk to almost everywhere we wanted easily and with such pleasure.
We even got used to the 5:30am garbage can wake up and find ourselves waiting for it back here in the States!
I guess the only thing we would change is to add more reading lamps as we love reading and found the light source a little difficult.
Thank you for allowing us to stay there the month.
There were 3 of us, all 70 years old or more, and the climb up the 60 steps to the apartment were a challenge. The bedroom bed was comfortable and we were able to keep window open and also used fan and slept well. Our friend never opened the sofa bed since she is short and simply slept on the couch and says it was fine. Being on a quiet courtyard we were able to keep he windows open to get a nice breeze. Never used anything in kitchen but appeared adequately equipped. Nice to have a TV with a few english channels. Need to be careful stepping out of tub because of high side but nice shower.
Great location and would definitely stay there again.
What can I say to do this little gem justice? This apartment was absolutely perfect and in just the right location! In the heart of the Latin Quarter, the safest and best area I visited in my opinion. The apartment was well stocked with everything you need, clean, cozy, and in a very secure and quiet location. Plenty to do within walking distance of the apartment. Rue de Seine, Rue Dauphine, and Rue de Buci have plenty to do at all times of the day! I walked to the market which was a very close walk every few days to stock up on food and things I may need. Many sights are within walking distance of this apartment, especially the Notre Dame. Located a short walk from a few different train stations as well, so getting around was a breeze. The people in this quarter were so kind, friendly, and welcoming. I simply cannot wait to return. If you're visiting Paris, this location is a must. Great communication from the owner. Always very helpful and responsive to all of my questions. I couldn't have asked for more. This apartment made me feel right at home. It was a great size for just myself, but could easily accommodate up to 3 people. I hope to visit again soon!
With so many choices of apartments to rent in Paris is was hard to know where to "land". First place I rented fell through as owner took it off market. Tried again and lucked onto this cute, centrally located and amazing little abode!
The photos on line are true and accurate and the bed was really comfortable (a nice surprise as so often is not the case) and despite the busy street the apartment was very quiet being tucked in back of the courtyard. That made for a nice place of respite after loonnnnggg days of walking....and pretty much everything on your must see list IS within walking distance. Or if you're adventurous, the Metro stations are close by. The amenities within the apartment were nice and after comparing prices with the lovely D'Abusson Hotel down the block (420e per night), this place has more room and amenities than any hotel, it's a screaming deal!
My time was shorter than I would have liked but when I return to Paris next this will be my home away from home again! Nicely done Robert.
Absolutely the best location! Perfect for two people. Especially if you're walking Paris as we did. Get to know the Wait Staff at Buci, L'Atlas and Paul's. Serenaded by Street Musicians every night. Couples Massage next door. Seamless check in and check out. If you're a bit nervous about long distance reservations or property representation, no problem here.
Our many thanks to Robert and Constance. They helped make a wonderful Paris visit a wonderful Paris visit!
