Overview

About the property

Located In Tampa's Coolest And Most Central Neighborhood, Completely Renovated!

Two houses on one property, a 1928 Craftsman Bungalow (2 beds 2 baths) with a detached 1 bedroom 1 bathroom cottage with full kitchen, professionally designed and furnished, luxury with old world charm awaits. Big front porch for sipping coffee or tea and reading the news paper but the outdoor space is all about the back garden. Built in furniture, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, tropical landscaping. Tall ceilings throughout, Apple TV, Washer/Dryer, huge master bathroom overlooking lush tropical backyard space. Comfort is King in this historical home! Each building is completely detached and there are no shared walls or shared amenities.

NO expense was spared while furnishing the home with unique and brand new mid century style pieces, the highest quality linens and towels made with real Egyptian cottons, original art pieces, an extremely functional and welcoming kitchen with all the tools you would need to be a home chef, 2 generous bathrooms and two FULL size beds in the 2nd bedroom for kids or group travelers. The mattresses are brand new and considered some of the best reviewed in the world. Apple TV with Netflix and high speed WiFi will allow you to entertain yourself or work from home.

Seminole Heights is Tampa's greatest up and coming neighborhood, and is exciting the "foodie" scene on a national stage, with recent mentions in Travel and Leisure, Money Magazine and beyond. It's an extremely exciting place to be for foodies, craft beer enthusiasts and artists, as well as families with a taste for the extraordinary! Walk to Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, America's #1 rated Zoo for kids. Epps park and the Hillsborough River are also a short walk, and eateries, cafes, bakeries, vintage shops and more are all a short walk away.

Between myself and my manager Kim, we will strive to be sure you are completely comfortable and happy, that you have everything you need and more, and will be available for you should you have any questions or concerns.

About Jeff Curtis

I'm an avid traveler, real estate broker, musician and family man. I enjoy cooking and food culture, the arts, my Tampa sports teams, fishing, golfing and living the good life with my beautiful better half.

I was born and raised in Tampa, Fl, and lived the first 30 years of my life there. I moved to Venice Beach in Los Angeles, CA, in 2012. I frequently visit home, and this property is the home I lived in for the last 8 years of my Tampa residency. There's a fine chance I will move into this home once again, so now's your chance to visit before it's too late !! :)

I believe that traveling is more than just a destination. It's a journey, it's a way to meet new and interesting people and to see the world through other's eyes. Comfort and knowledge are equally as important! Staying in my home will hopefully allow you to see my beloved city somewhat through my eyes. I welcome dialogue and would absolutely love to make suggestions and recommendations as wanted. I want everyone to enjoy thoroughly their time in my home, and in my home city, Tampa Bay, Florida.

Jeff Curtis purchased this house in 2004

Why Jeff Curtis chose Tampa

This property is "the one" for many reasons! The history on Tampa is much more rich than one may think. This 1928 Craftsman Bungalow plus matching cottage, if only walls could speak! Many of the original charms still exist, including the original 1928 pine floors, which have been meticulously restored to their natural beauty. Archways, tall ceilings and crown moldings, high baseboards will make you feel like you've taken a trip back into time, while absolutely NO expense was spared while furnishing the home with unique mid century pieces, the highest quality linens and towels made with real Egyptian cottons, original art pieces, an extremely functional and welcoming kitchen with all the tools you would need to be a home chef, 2 generous bathrooms and two FULL size beds in the 2nd bedroom for kids or group travelers. The mattresses are brand new and considered some of the best reviewed in the world. Apple TV with Netflix and high speed WiFi will allow you to entertain yourself or work from home.

As previously mentioned, Seminole Heights is definitely Tampa's greatest up and coming neighborhood, and is exciting the foodie scene on a national stage, with recent mentions in Travel and Leisure, Money Magazine and beyond. It's an extremely exciting place to be for foodies, craft beer enthusiasts and artists, as well as families with a taste for the extraordinary!

Between myself and Kim (my helper), we will strive to be sure you are completely comfortable and happy, that you have everything you need and more, and will be available for you should you have any questions or concerns.

Centrally located Gem in the heart of Tampa.

  • 5 of 5

Let me preface by saying we typically rent a modern property when vacationing in Forida. We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this century type home in the heart of Tampa. It is very well appointed with all ths comforts of home. Although we did'nt use the cottage included in the property we peeked inside and thought wow, what an excellent value for the money if we had brought our parents or another small family. Like the main home, it too was well furnished and clean.

The location is perfect for familes wanting to explore the area. The zoo is around the corner, Busch Gardens is up the road and it's a beautiful drive to Clearwater Beach. Disney would be an easy day trip too.

Jeff was always quick to respond to questions.

Don't waste your money staying at a hotel when you can stay at a place like this for less.

If in the area again we will stay here.

Perfect Setup

  • 5 of 5

We were 3 couples all meeting in Tampa for a long weekend. This place was great for us. Very comfortable for when we chose to "stay in" and make dinner, and conveniently located for when we decided to go out as well. The kitchen had everything we needed in it, and the backyard / outdoor area is great! Jeff was VERY responsive to any questions we had leading up to our trip. Just wanted to leave a review and say Thanks! - we had a great weekend!

Private Oasis in the City

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed this charming cottage in the heart of the city. We spent hours outside in the courtyard, which was incredibly private. We brought our own firewood, which we supplemented with wood they provided. The grill was large and hot! The location is close to downtown, a couple blocks from a grocery store, and surrounded by great places to eat. The kitchen was well-equipped, the living area charming and welcoming, and the bedrooms spacious and comfortable. Jeff was responsive and accommodating. There’s plenty of room for a family or multiple couples. We’ll definitely be back.

Very cozy

  • 5 of 5

This house was lovely and very comfortable. We traveled with several of our family members and were all able to stay comfortably in this house. The house is in a "trendy" neighborhood from what I can tell and has several yummy restaurants to check out near by. We felt very much at home!

Convenient, roomy and quiet

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with my 2 adult sons and a good friend. The friend used the apartment and my sons and I were in the main residence. It was great. We had easy access to the interstate and main roads to go to baseball games and golf courses and to eat good seafood. Kim was available for any problems, there were none. The extra benefit was the original flavor/in house made ice cream place within 2 blocks. I have already told KIm that we will see her next year.
