Lulu's happy place

  • 5 of 5

For our winter getaway two years in a row, this home and location was fantastic! Plenty of space in the home with a large home-office area. It is very comfortably furnished and an well equipped kitchen with a good grill. Sure, the house needs some updates to be considered "worthy of a pottery barn catalog," but we weren't expecting that. We found everything to be in great working order and lived up to how it was presented online. The best part was walking everywhere ... restaurants, shopping, the farmers market on Saturdays. The fenced in yard was ideal. Our dog Lulu loved her lazy days lounging on the wraparound porch, and so did we! The only thing she liked more was to jump into the car and go to the beach every day ... which is just a minute or two away, with lots of parking. The high speed internet allowed us to keep up with work, and the Jacksonville airport nearby meant my husband to keep up his work-travel schedule without a problem. The owner was very friendly and easy to reach when I had a question, but never bothered us in any way. We kayaked, went to Cumberland Island and bicycled, took a sailing charter, spent time in the state parks, played tennis, drove into St. Augustine and Jacksonville, ate lots of great food in town, did the booze cruise on a Friday night, and so much more. I'd definitely recommend 301 Broome!

Perfect Location - Beautiful House

  • 5 of 5

I recently rented this property for vacation and would highly recommend it to other vacationers. It is nestled in a perfect location, walking distance to the quaint historic district of downtown of Fernandina Beach with lots of great restaurants and bars. I will definatly use it again for our next family vacation gathering. The house was beautiful - clean, comfortable and spacious. Lots of amenities close by with swimming, golf and tennis to name a few to choose from.
