Great Location/ Unit was full of cleanliness, maintenance, and functional issues

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig. That’s what the owners of this condo have done in an attempt to attract more renters at higher rental prices. This condo DOES have a few positive points and I’ll outline those as well. However, the cons outweigh the pros by quite a bit. The floors were dirty, yet had been mopped…albeit sloppily and by someone with zero care about actual cleanliness. The shower was full of sand from where they’d emptied the mop bucket. Several of the vertical blinds were broken. Some of these were in the bedroom, which made it difficult to get undressed since the window leads into the walkway. 3 or 4 of the vertical blinds on the sliding door were broken. This made it impossible for our guests to sleep after 5:30. We were told on day 2 of 7 that the blinds would be replaced. They were not. Unsat. The condo is touted as sleeping up to 5 people; yet there are only sheets for two beds. Basic “public school math” proves that either the 5th person is out of luck, or sleeping with 2 others. Others had complained in past reviews that the king sized bed was uncomfortable. The owners dutifully replaced the mattress with a queen sized one. But, when it didn’t fit in the king frame, they “engineered” a nifty 2x4 frame to hold the queen mattress. Because my eye was drawn to the corner of the bed and not the king, I cut my shins on the bed a 1/2-dozen times. Why the redneck 2x4 frame? Its unimaginable why the owners wouldn’t have just ponied up an extra $200 for a king mattress. On the first night, we reported that the light in the bedroom was burned out. It was never replaced (even though it was promised on day 2 of 7) so we had no overhead light in the room, which made it dangerous for shins (see above shin complaint.) Several maintenance issues tarnished what would have been a nice stay. Two of the door handles were so loose that they nearly fell off. One of the MOST DANGEROUS items was the fact that the owner placed a PICTURE over the ELECTRICAL BOX instead of the appropriate COVER! Anyone slipping their hand behind the picture could have been electrocuted. Unsat and unsafe! Why would someone who remodels a condo put nobs on all of the kitchen cabinet doors, yet none of the drawers?? They were annoyingly difficult to get open. After a 2 minute online search, I found that it would have cost the owners another $10.59. UNSAFE CONDO. WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. SLICK OWNERS....BAD REMODEL.

Way better than the pictures

We had a great time at the condo. I can’t wait to come back. I will say that the place looks even better in person than it does in the profile pictures. We loved the view from the balcony and the store and restaurant across the street were great on the rainy days.

Smartly renovated. Really great location. Nice floor plan. Good security.

This property makes great use of a great location. So nice to walk right across the road to Peg Leg Pete's. Beach is beautiful right outside the unit (down 4 floors). Access to unit is easy, with use of carts for luggage, etc. Common areas of building are clean and we'll maintaied. Didn't use laundry area, but it appeared to be ok. There was enough seating in our unit to have a number of family that lives in the area to come over for snacks and there were even games for the teens and kids to play.

Overall, a very comfortable unit with an outstanding view. Would definitely stay again.

Spent our first Mom & daughters weekend here. Had an awesome time. Condo was supplied with all basic necessities plus a few extra. Enjoyed the nice, clean pool also. Easy access to whatever you needed. Slight problem with ice maker leaking water but no big deal of course. Already making plans to return. Would definitely recommend condo to friends.
