This beautiful though cosy two floor apartment (670 square feet) has everything you wish for: a tasteful, decorated interior mixed with the real Amsterdam charm. Totally renovated with a serene patio to enjoy a glass of wine after a day of exploring Amsterdam. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is free high-speed internet via WiFi. The apartment is close to everything: all the museums, the opera house, theaters, restaurants and club life...
On ground level, there is the living room, open kitchen and patio. Downstairs, there is the bedroom, bathroom and toilet.
The apartment is ideal for 2 persons. There is an extra bed available, so it is a very easy to accommodate 1 extra child (kids up to 18 years stay for free).
There is a surcharge in case of a 3rd adult staying.
I am Amsterdam! We want you to feel at home in our house! After more than 20 years living in Amsterdam, we can tell you where to go and where not to go. We will do everything to make your stay enjoyable. Looking forward to meeting you!
Stan purchased this apartment in 2015
The area the apartment is in is the best and safest area in Amsterdam
Free Wifi, garden (patio), close to all touristic locations like Anne Franks house, all museums, the red light district while being in a very quit street. Nearby restaurants, supermarkets and boutique shopping street.
My wife and I stayed at this convenient apartment for four nights in April. The location, on a quaint side street adjacent to main tramline, was convenient to the central station, museums and to lots of restaurants, bars and markets. The weather was chilly, so we were not able to use the small patio with upholstered chairs behind the main room, but we did not spend much of our stay in the apartment with all the fun to be had in Amsterdam. Good shower, comfortable bed. Exceptionally thoughtful, honest, accommodating owners.
Overall we were happy with the property. Warning to renters, the stairs down to the bedroom and bathroom are steep and narrow so it is not appropriate for anyone who can't handle stairs well.
The location is great. Away from the crowds but right near a tram stop, ten minutes to the Central Station and the local area has good restaurants and other nice shops. Street is quiet. Property was clean and had everything we needed. Having the washer/dryer is great but it has very long cycles.
We enjoyed our week at this flat. the place is comfortable and was roomy for 3 people. The place has everything you need and is close to many pubs, restaurants and shopping. Trams run right down the street at the end of the street and it is very easy to get around. Our weather was lovely and we had an opportunity to walk to a few markets. We loved being among the canals. I would have given it a 5 star but the place hadn't been cleaned before we arrived. We vacuumed and did the laundry and we were back on track. We had a few questions and they were answered quickly. I would recommend this place and probably visit this place again.
Great location and loved the apartment. Stan was so helpful with answering questions and giving us tips on places to eat, see and enjoy during our stay in Amsterdam. Loved the neighborhood and proximity to museums, restaurants and the local grocery store.
I am now spoiled for this neighborhood and would not stay anywhere else in Amsterdam if we return. Everything was literally around the corner (which made our street quiet), a pleasant walk or a convenient tram ride away. There is every dining style and ethnicity option possible (some very fine dining) nearby, so when you have been out walking all day you don't have to think to hard about what to do for dinner. We did make use of the tram as we had been traveling and walking for over 2 weeks prior and the Prisengracht and Freidrickplein stations (again around the corner) had the perfect north/south (4) and west/east (10) routes. The apartment was exactly what I expected and was not surprised by the stairs going to the bedroom or bothered with the bath and toilet being downstairs. We are in Amsterdam after all folks! The kitchen was very well equipped though we did not cook. Only wish apartments would have a least one "chef" knife so I could chop if I did cook. Noticed the Patricia Well's class book on the kitchen table. Jealous! I'm sure the Marqt store had some great products to cook with. A note, the grocery store only took cash if you are just arriving and don't have euros yet. There is an ATM in the store. My impression on having stayed in the stylish Utrechesstrat area is the Jordaan is overrated and the city centre is a mass of humanity and always took a deep breath when we escaped back to the "hood". Highly recommend!
