The property is located in a quiet residential area in Queens county of New York City. Easy access to Grand Central Parkway and about 30 minutes away drive to Manhattan or you can take a 5 minute bus ride to the F train (subway) to bring you to Manhattan. Bus stop is only 1 block away. 15 minutes away to JFK and 18 minutes to La Guardia airport. The house is fully maintained by the owner. Has 4 spacious bedroom, 6 beds (1 king size bed, 2 queen beds, 1 double bed and 2 single folding beds), 2 bathrooms, a comfortable living room, dining area and full kitchen provided with utensils, basic needs for cooking in case you want to prepare your own meal. Ground coffee and tea provided to make your own when needed. Milk, fruit juice, fruits, eggs, bread, cereals and cookies are also included as our compliment to our guests. there are well known grocery stores and small shopping malls a few blocks away. Has a large driveway that fits 3 cars. Other amenities: clean towels. soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, paper towels, hand or body lotions, compliments for our guests.

Lourdes was an amazing host. At first I didn't realize that she will be staying in the basement and was hesitant to stay initially, but I am glad she was as she is an A1, 5 Star host.
Days stayed: 9
- Amazing person, fun to talk to.
- Willing to help 24 hours.
- House was super clean.
- She was willing to do laundry any given day.
- Even got us fruits and bottled water.
- I have stayed many places and clean bed lining is a must. She had them super clean, no bugs or anything.
- Mattress/pillows were really comfortable and fairly new; no smells/odors or stains on them.
- Best part was Window AC in every bedroom; my mom and dad are old and are always cold. They were able to adjust the a/c how ever they wanted without bothering others.
- Huge clean backyard
- Wifi/ Cable etc worked just fine.
- Needs an AC in living room; but if you are patient and leave the dining area A/C on with the fan in living area it will eventually get cooler.
- Needs to upgrade the electric system; when ever we used an Iron with the AC the electric phase would trip and only Lourdes or her husband could reset the switch from electric board. But she never got annoyed or irritated.
Besides that only good things.... :)
Next time if I have any occasions in NY; I will contact her in a heart beat!

Lourdes and Romeo were incredible hosts. They were very helpful, accommodating, and friendly. They went so far as to purchase dinner for us our first evening in town. They also provided us with a tour around the neighborhood so that we would know where to catch the bus and where to get onto the subway and assisted us in purchasing our metro passes. The home is perfect for 8 guests:-)
My family of 8 rented this lovely home for a long weekend. The location was excellent; easy to find and very convenient to everything. The neighborhood is nice and neat. There were ample beds in the 4 bedrooms, a small dining and kitchen area (no dishwasher) but very well stocked. We were provided with coffee, juice, milk, eggs, bread, bottled water; everything we needed for breakfast! It was great having 2 bathrooms; but both have issues with running toilets. If you don't jiggle the handle, you'll get a reminder from the owners (who stay in a basement apartment.) Behind the home there is a large beautiful yard with gated entrance, outdoor furniture, BBQ grills and plantings. There is plenty of parking; we had 3 of 4 spaces. Our group was all ages and stayed out/up all hours. The owners were very kind and accomodating to our needs. This is a great place for large families!
Was our first stay using HomeAway. The owner went WAY out of her way to make sure our stay was a pleasant and happy one. Rooms were very spacious, everything we needed was there. She even went and got some basic groceries for us so we would have coffee, eggs & milk when we arrived. Very nice backyard, cozy & private with lots of sun made a great place to have breakfast outdoors in the morning. We were there with extended family for a graduation- had plenty of room, really nice size living & dining room where we could all be together & relax. Like being at our own home. Can't say enough about how helpful and kind the owner is-- she is one of the nicest people we've ever met in New York! We stressed the showers- had 8 people there at once- showers and hot water worked out great (not all hotels can live up to that). Highly recommend. Access is very easy to expressways, LGA just a few minutes away- JFK very convenient as well.

Very good place to rent, very clean and beautiful family house!
This home is very easily accessible from the Central Expressway and to St John's University. The owners are very hospitable and gracious. They contacted us before our arrival to see if they could pick up any needed supplies. Upon arrival, we were already stocked with milk, juice, eggs, coffee, etc, saving us a late night trip to the store. They were accommodating on the arrival time as well and when we had some friends stop by, they offered extra bottled waters and set-up the outside seating for us. Because they live on the property, they are almost always there to assist or just to sit and chat if you like. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware as well as condiments/spices. The back yard is big and has multiple table/chair options to enjoy in nice weather. Overall, it suited our needs very well.
